Unlike Steam, ALL NSFW content has been deindexed from the site, meaning it will not show up in Browse or Search. This comes at the heel of the news that Steam had removed a ton of NSFW content for not meeting the standards set by Visa/MasterCard. Itch has also removed games from libraries with no chance of a refund.

Related News: Vice Writer Ana Valen published two articles about the Steam Payment Processor Controversy and who is behind it. Savage Ventures, Vice’s owner, demanded Valen remove said articles. She has since quit, alongside two OTHER writers too over what appears to be censorship of the topic.

Many have suggested Valve and the like not capitulate and instead offer stablecoin payments… but can such a thing really exist?

VTuber Talent Agency VShojo Implodes as EVERY VTuber leaves the company

VShojo is a VTuber Talent Agency host to some of the biggest VTubers (and Streamers) period, such as Ironmouse. And on the topic of Ironmouse, she was the first of what would be this mass exodus of talent due to VShojo withholding funds meant to go to Immune Deficiency Foundation (about $500,000+) despite Ironmouse being the one to raise all of these funds to go specifically to this charity.

In solidarity, MORE and more talent has decided to leave, including some OG members too. On top of that, some talents have revealed not being paid by VShojo for MONTHS.

Stop Killing Games REACHES GOAL

They finally hit 1.4 Million! They SHOULD be safe unless a SIGNIFICANT part of the signatures are botted, which I HIGHLY doubt. As of the writing of this segment the exact count is 1,414,231

1/3 of all online teenagers use AI chatbots for “friendships” and “romantic conversations”

Link: https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/one-third-of-teens-use-ai-for-friendship-and-romantic-conversations-3230725/

https://character.ai/

Common Sense Media conducted research and discovered that 1/3 of all teens use AI chatbots to replace traditional human interaction for things like romance and friendships.

We should also try Character.ai for this one since that’s ONE such website where people can talk to AI facsimiles of fictional characters or real people.

Destiny 2’s World’s First Raid Race FULL of Cheaters

Link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2025/07/25/70-of-destiny-2s-top-contest-mode-clearing-raid-teams-cheated/

Destiny 2’s new expansion pack, The Edge of Fate, released and with every new expansion comes a new raid in the form of “The Desert Perpetual”, and with every new raid, a world’s first raid race. As per the article, of the top 100 teams to finish, 70 of those 100 were cheating in some form or another. Many of these could be gleamed by reviewing team stats, since raid completion stats are made public to everyone.

Jason voorhees that is hilarious try to

0:03

romance Jason voorhees

0:04

Dude pick Jason

0:05

voorhees, dude you gotta do this

0:07

Pray Jason said his voice low and

0:09

gravelly he was so close

0:11

he could reach out and touch

0:12

Oh noo

0:13

His eyes were fixed on them, setting them

0:15

intently he brought his hand down and

0:17

grabbing their chin roughly tilting their

0:19

Don't you look like a good person

0:21

Oh my god dude

0:25

Do you got handcuffs?

0:28

I'll be the use them on you

0:30

Say yes daddy

0:30

You read my mind I

0:34

technically was gonna say

0:45

Welcome to Off the Console the hottest

0:47

new podcast that it's all about gaming,

0:50

tech news and anything nerdy this week

0:52

We're covering the biggest news

0:54

I did some including the not safe for

0:57

work purr just currently going on

1:00

And a bunch of other exploding industries

1:06

or at least like agencies like the VTuber

1:09

Uh, Tallah Agency one of the biggest ones

1:11

and then we have other

1:13

big topics that include

1:16

Uh, maybe we're not gonna be having $80

1:19

games in the future maybe it's gonna be

1:20

$70 games or $60 maybe it's failed

1:22

We'll find out as we talk through this

1:24

week's topics but with me I have Gardner

1:28

and also High Tech Low Life

1:33

How's it going?

1:35

How you doing?

1:37

Doing great

1:39

Uh so to start things off let's talk

1:41

about what you guys have been playing

1:42

High Tech what have you been

1:44

playing or doing this week?

1:45

Okay so I've been

1:47

preparing for my trip to Japan

1:49

I've been doing some planning and there

1:53

are some places I want to go to but we'll

1:55

save that for next episode

1:56

Where I'll already be in Japan by then

1:59

Nice

2:00

But in terms of actually playing games

2:03

though I've been

2:04

playing Risk of Rain 2 again

2:06

Modded Risk of Rain 2 because I made a

2:07

video about that for the Steam Deck again

2:10

And it just sucked me

2:11

back in so I'm playing that

2:14

Are you avoiding Expedition 33?

2:17

Dude no I mean yes because I don't have

2:21

the time to play Massive GRPGs right now

2:25

You can beat it in like 30-40 hours

2:28

I probably could but I'm lazy right now

2:31

Okay

2:33

You're just gonna continue trying to 100%

2:35

like Blotrol or something

2:38

You know I might have been able to do it

2:40

by now had I not decided to wait until

2:42

like the update came out

2:45

But like yeah I'm already waiting for the

2:47

2025 update that's supposed to be coming

2:49

out for Blotrol so yeah

2:51

I'll start

2:53

I'm already committed

2:56

There you go

2:57

Expedition's waiting it's good I

2:59

definitely recommend it

3:00

Hmm

3:03

Um Gardner what have

3:04

you been playing or doing?

3:05

I have been working on some stuff

3:09

I got this little guy

3:10

which is really neat

3:12

It's a USB tester

3:14

actually here let me show you

3:16

So

3:18

What is that? What did you just do?

3:20

So this little tester here I'll show you

3:22

this in a minute but this

3:23

This little tester just tells you like

3:25

the capabilities of a USB

3:26

cable which is pretty nice

3:29

This one is USB

3:31

Uh it looks like USB

3:34

See uh USB 2

3:35

Wait so you just plug

3:36

both ends into the thing?

3:38

You plug both ends into it and then it

3:40

tells you what conductors are in there

3:42

Which is really nice

3:43

Oh that is very cool

3:45

It's very handy because I have a ton of

3:47

like charge only USB type C cables

3:50

And this one this helps me tell which

3:53

ones are charge only which ones are type

3:55

You know USB 3.1 and 3.2

3:58

and 3.2 Gen 2 and whatever

4:01

But this thing I bought the other day

4:04

This is very exciting this is the ATEM

4:07

Mini Extreme Pro from Blackmagic Design

4:10

And it has eight HDMI imports

4:15

And I can switch between them and it

4:18

works as a webcam on the computer

4:20

But I can also plug in a SSD like this

4:24

and record every one of these tracks

4:26

individually to the SSD

4:28

Just by hitting this button here record

4:30

And there's a ton of other things it can

4:32

do like switching between

4:34

If I hit on button here I can switch

4:38

myself to different corners

4:40

You guys might not be able

4:41

to see it but the audience can

4:43

Or I can switch to like you know I have a

4:45

computer plugged into it a little mini PC

4:48

I can switch to that

4:51

Is that your bad oh dude that's awesome

4:54

Yeah it's super neat

4:55

So this and also like there's a desktop

4:58

app that you can use to like

4:59

set things up and be able to

5:03

What's the word?

5:05

Like you can have multiple cameras which

5:07

is I have a camera above me here

5:09

And I have my my normal camera that I use

5:12

So I might look a little bit better than

5:13

I normally do because I usually when

5:15

we're doing the show

5:16

I use my like webcam and

5:18

this I'm using like the actual

5:20

Pocket Cinema 4k that I

5:22

record my videos on so

5:23

I wasn't I didn't want to say anything

5:25

but I was like wow did he get a glow up

5:28

Yeah I got a gardener

5:29

out of the glow up man

5:32

But I've been just messing around with

5:33

this like for the like the whole week

5:36

I and the best part was I ordered this

5:38

And arrived the very next day after I

5:41

ordered it and I ordered it in like

5:43

At like 11 o'clock in the morning on

5:45

Monday and I got it from Amazon

5:47

I got it from Amazon I'm not proud of it

5:49

I usually don't buy stuff from Amazon but

5:51

Yeah that's valid

5:53

Amazon kind of sucks but my sister

5:55

But my sister pays for

5:57

Amazon Prime so why not right

5:59

Yeah yep yeah I'm with you on that one I

6:03

try not to but sometimes just

6:05

Yeah I try to buy stuff as much as I can

6:09

from like reputable eBay

6:10

sellers but even that's not

6:11

ideal so

6:13

I hate eBay so much

6:15

I hate eBay but you know if you get the

6:17

right sellers it's usually fine

6:19

I think I'd rather become

6:20

Amish than deal with eBay anymore

6:23

Hey man you know the Amish use Linux now

6:28

Sure yeah they do yeah I'm

6:31

not yeah yeah they use like a

6:35

Yeah they use computers and it's like

6:37

it's basically like a

6:37

glorified typewriter

6:39

Yeah but they do use Linux and it's like

6:43

a locked down I don't know

6:44

I don't know much about it

6:45

I just know that it apparently exists

6:47

makes no they're not Amish anymore I'm

6:51

taking away their Amish card

6:53

Did I ever tell you the story about the

6:55

Amish so I live out here out in the

6:58

middle of nowhere in

6:58

Maine and right down the street from me

7:00

there is an Amish community

7:02

but well everyone calls them

7:04

Amish but they're actually Mennonites

7:05

right and so one day I was

7:08

playing Smash Bros Melee with my

7:10

cousin and my cousin his sister whatever

7:14

and we were playing it and

7:16

oh no was it I think it was

7:18

actually and so we were playing brawl and

7:21

then her mom's like hey we

7:23

gotta go so we like got in the

7:25

car and drove out this way and all of a

7:27

sudden we're passing some

7:29

Mennonites on the side of the

7:30

road and she's like why did they name a

7:32

character in Smash Bros after the

7:33

Mennonites because she

7:34

thought like they were called Mennonites

7:36

like oh my god that's

7:40

ridiculous no that's insane

7:47

that's unfortunate yep it's pretty funny

7:49

that is pretty funny though

7:51

yeah James what have you been

7:52

doing this week I beat Doom Eternal's uh

7:57

DLC which is the old

7:59

gods or something like that

8:00

part one and part two yeah because I

8:02

started playing you know

8:03

I've been I've been playing dark

8:04

ages and I'm like I'm not I'm not I'm

8:07

thinking I'm missing

8:08

something story wise and so I went

8:10

it did help a little bit and it was fun

8:12

it's really hard so I

8:14

finally beat those DLCs and then

8:16

I'm halfway through dark ages oh really

8:19

how are you it's it gets

8:21

better but halfway like almost

8:25

halfway through I started playing Doom

8:26

Eternal so it really screwed me up

8:28

because the game styles

8:30

are so different where you're fast paced

8:33

and so once I got back into

8:34

dark ages I and I have it on

8:36

like the third or fourth highest

8:37

difficulty I was just dying all over the

8:40

place because I wanted to

8:40

play quick and there's like you there's

8:43

no um double jump at least

8:45

not yet and there's no uh

8:48

there's just a lot of things that you're

8:49

kind of missing so um it was

8:52

really hard once I got on a

8:53

Doom Eternal too when I was playing Doom

8:54

Eternal I was so used to the

8:55

shield I'd hit the button for

8:57

the shield and so I definitely will say

9:00

Doom Eternal is still

9:01

better but dark ages warming up

9:03

but I definitely I'm hoping they go back

9:05

to the Doom Eternal for the

9:06

next game yeah style I read

9:09

that they have only sold one and a half

9:11

million units for Doom the

9:14

dark ages jeez that's that's

9:17

not oh that's pretty low compared to like

9:20

what they had been doing

9:21

with the other Doom games

9:22

what a big internal solve uh how many I

9:25

think it was like

9:26

three and a half million

9:28

well I mean I guess it is what it is I'm

9:32

not sure it's difficult to

9:34

pinpoint what could have done

9:35

it because there's a lot of different

9:36

factors that changed yeah like for

9:38

example Bethesda got

9:40

bought by Microsoft yeah it launched on

9:42

Game Pass that's another one

9:44

might be the thing I want to

9:46

see revenue I want to stop I want to stop

9:49

hearing good copies and I

9:50

want to start hearing revenue

9:51

more yeah Doom Eternal sold three million

9:54

copies in the first month

9:56

and generated 450 million

9:59

dollars in revenue within nine months of

10:02

its release and the dark ages

10:08

let's see it sold one million copies with

10:12

two million players

10:13

through Xbox Game Pass

10:16

you know what they have done though it's

10:18

three million it's three

10:19

million but well that's less

10:21

revenue and while

10:23

stakeholders or and like

10:29

people like that do like

10:30

subscription-based businesses right now

10:32

so yeah but the problem

10:35

with a game like Doom is you have in

10:38

order to get you have to have one of

10:41

those a month to keep

10:42

people active right you got to have big

10:44

releases to keep people

10:45

active and it's just yeah I just

10:47

don't see that's why they bought all the

10:50

studios man that's why they

10:51

bought Activision Blizzard

10:52

I'm talking about why they bought all

10:53

those studios and then closed them all

10:54

down yeah obviously man

10:57

they just from the fat they just got rid

10:59

of studios that don't

11:00

matter except for you know to me

11:02

yeah and everyone else and the original

11:05

platforms they are the original studios

11:07

they spun up to like

11:08

actually capitalize on all the ip they

11:10

own they closed those too

11:11

come on man you just don't see

11:12

the vision clearly perfect dark was not

11:15

worth uh saving as per

11:17

Microsoft dude oh my god don't get

11:20

me started on perfect dark uh that is

11:22

literally the only game that

11:23

I have had any like measure

11:25

of juvenile hype for in the last 10 years

11:28

like they killed it dude

11:31

I was it 2013 or 2015 or

11:34

something when like they first revealed

11:37

that the initiative was

11:38

working on it yeah on a perfect

11:40

because I remember because that was when

11:42

I was living at the

11:44

first house that I bought

11:45

and I was still living there I moved out

11:47

in 2016 so somewhere in

11:49

there it must have been 2015

11:51

anyway yeah 10 years of work something

11:54

like that down the drain for

11:56

a game that could have been

11:58

awesome for a franchise that I have a lot

12:00

of like passion for and

12:02

Microsoft doesn't give a shit

12:03

it's crazy I know they could have just

12:05

it's not like they're ashamed of

12:06

releasing bad games that

12:07

a lot of places anyways yeah um so game

12:11

pass made uh let's see is may

12:15

has reached 5.5 billion by 2025

12:19

okay so that's not per year they make

12:22

about a billion a year I'm

12:23

assuming maybe billion or two

12:26

see two billion annually during the

12:27

pandemic two billion

12:30

annually during the pandemic

12:32

yeah but like clear like seriously though

12:36

how much did doom the

12:38

dark ages cost to produce

12:41

uh hopefully they didn't spend more than

12:43

100 billion or 100 billion 100 million

12:48

that's gta6 money right there that's not

12:51

even what you know that's not what

12:52

they're spending on that

12:54

but they're gonna make that up um

12:55

um yeah I'm kind of curious so yeah I'm

13:02

not gonna look into this

13:03

anymore but I definitely

13:06

as long as they're budgeting these games

13:08

properly I don't know they

13:10

still have to pay out to the

13:11

other studios that are a part of it but

13:13

does game pass have any

13:15

other studios that aren't

13:17

a part of the Microsoft brand nowadays is

13:19

it pretty much just all

13:21

um I mean I think they have the

13:24

occasional like big triple-a third-party

13:26

game that's only on their

13:28

temporarily but I can't tell third part

13:31

they are indies right but

13:34

they I mean they do have not

13:36

but like basically nothing on game pass

13:38

is permanently on game

13:40

pass except for Microsoft's

13:41

own offerings and uh that's right yeah

13:44

yeah so you realistically

13:46

you'd only buy game pass if you

13:49

are interested in Microsoft titles like

13:52

that that's just kind

13:53

of how it is to be honest

13:56

well you know what is permanently always

13:59

on a list our playlist of

14:01

uh podcasts in the past so

14:03

make sure to subscribe and to like and do

14:06

all that stuff if you're on

14:07

YouTube so you can uh keep on

14:10

listening and watching um our content or

14:13

if you're more of a fan or if you're

14:15

listening to this audio

14:16

you can always uh subscribe to us or

14:18

follow our RSS feed at

14:20

podcast.subscribe2.me so uh there's

14:25

there's more stuff we'll have more stuff

14:26

in the description below I'm

14:27

sure so that you can always

14:29

keep an eye on what we're doing so let's

14:33

uh let's get into this

14:34

uh um this topic that is

14:37

affecting high tech's life like most of

14:39

his games are affected now yeah okay okay

14:46

not my risk of brain too

14:50

I apologize okay so the great not safe

14:54

safe for work purge of

14:56

2025 is continuing to happen

14:58

we talked about it last week with steam

15:00

but and with steam I was

15:02

like okay but then itch.io also

15:05

had a huge purge including removing games

15:08

from people's libraries um

15:10

it's on a refund too yeah

15:12

which is crazy and so uh let's get into

15:17

this topic a little bit

15:18

high tech so as you know last

15:21

week we talked about steam uh removing a

15:23

bunch of games and a lot

15:25

quite a few people cheered

15:26

because like they're the types of games

15:28

that you probably don't want

15:29

to be caught playing in public

15:32

you'll probably be on a list if you've

15:33

been playing public but

15:37

but this time itch.io has taken the extra

15:41

step oh you should stream by

15:42

the way uh I'm setting it up

15:44

yeah so itch.io took the extra step of

15:47

not not only removing a

15:49

couple of games but also straight

15:51

up shadow banning basically any game

15:53

that's considered nsfw

15:54

so is it shadow banning if

15:58

everyone's aware of what games have been

16:00

removed and well when I

16:03

say shadow ban I really mean

16:05

you can't find it via searching on

16:07

itch.io's website I see I

16:09

see or by browsing which is

16:12

something you could totally do on itch.io

16:13

for some reason uh but

16:15

anyways here so here's the other

16:17

thing too is that you know typically when

16:19

we say nsfw not safe for work we

16:21

typically think of um

16:23

foreign games right but there are games

16:26

on itch.io that are that

16:27

are you know just straight up

16:28

violent and they're also considered

16:30

adults only because you know of the

16:32

graphic violent content

16:33

right yeah here's the thing it really

16:38

depends on where you work or

16:39

how brave you are I'm willing

16:41

to I know no game is nsfw for me what I'm

16:46

brave enough to play them

16:47

all at work you're brave

16:49

enough to not get fired by an hr

16:51

department I work from home at

16:56

this point if it's if the game

16:58

has been removed it's not nsfw it's nsfpp

17:01

not safe for payment

17:02

processors oh my god the double

17:07

gottle gottle exactly so this started

17:14

because of a game called no mercy which

17:17

uh was what it wasn't

17:19

something we talked about it was a

17:20

potential topic but we decided against it

17:22

uh because it was a game

17:23

about more or less the r-word I'm not

17:27

gonna say it but yes uh so essentially

17:32

that was on steam for a

17:34

little bit that was removed it was also

17:35

itch.io but it was also

17:36

removed as well and unfortunately

17:40

payment processors have decided that

17:42

basically adults adult games are no

17:46

longer allowed either

17:48

and this not just it's not just games

17:50

though it's also um like games that are

17:53

rated 18 plus for like

17:55

violent content too so that's also being

17:59

delisted too not to mention

18:01

people are getting uh people

18:03

that actually have these in their

18:04

libraries they're being removed from

18:08

libraries with no refunds too

18:11

that's not cool yeah and and there's been

18:16

a lot of controversy

18:17

surrounding this because uh

18:19

there have actually been two writers from

18:21

vice that wrote articles about this

18:24

you know standard articles talking about

18:25

how maybe this isn't such

18:27

a good thing because like

18:28

they could do they could do more with

18:30

these now that you know now

18:32

that it's an actual avenue of

18:33

attack but then these articles were since

18:38

deleted and the writers

18:40

quit obviously because of this

18:43

yeah good for them quitting over that I

18:46

like this I here's the

18:50

thing I like I don't have a

18:53

problem with businesses deciding if they

18:56

want to engage in certain

18:58

types of uh activity right like

19:01

I don't it doesn't necessarily bother me

19:03

on the face of it that these

19:05

payment processors are like

19:06

hey if you want to use our service you

19:07

can't be selling games you can't be

19:09

selling like extreme

19:10

graphic violence games I'm okay with that

19:13

in principle because as a

19:15

business owner I want to

19:16

be able to make those kind of decisions

19:17

right like if someone

19:19

comes to me and they're like

19:20

hey uh we want you to make a website for

19:23

us where it's like it's

19:24

violence and whatever I'm

19:25

I don't want to have to do that right um

19:29

so I'm cool with that but

19:31

when it comes to itch and steam

19:34

just like completely bending the knee

19:36

without any pushback um you know that's

19:40

when I have a problem

19:41

with it especially with itch like just

19:42

removing games from people's

19:43

libraries if they've already

19:44

bought them for like that uh really that

19:49

rubs me the wrong way for sure I'm

19:51

curious what threats

19:51

they got from um was it visa or just all

19:55

payment block processors I

19:57

think it was mastercard too

19:58

master and mastercard yeah I mean at this

20:01

point aren't they even

20:02

like a different company like

20:04

I take a problem with payment processors

20:07

because I really feel like it should be

20:09

more on a governmental

20:10

or a level that needs to be dictated by

20:13

laws not just by the whim

20:14

of what the payment processor

20:15

wants yes there's democracy in it yes I

20:19

agree with you on that

20:20

like if we want to move to if

20:22

we want to have a more just payment

20:23

system we need to go

20:24

back to cash like frankly so

20:28

how do you do that on the internet that's

20:31

the question yes so of

20:34

course collective shout is

20:35

the organization claiming to be the ones

20:38

behind all of this and uh

20:41

they're a group from Australia

20:42

and you know how Australia can be with uh

20:44

censoring things they like

20:45

to go a little overboard with

20:46

uh censorship as well and uh I don't know

20:51

man it's it's it's bad

20:54

enough because at one point like

20:58

we at like at first we were all like we

21:00

didn't believe like yet I

21:01

think most of us didn't really

21:02

believe the fact that you know there

21:04

could be a slippery slip

21:05

right I just don't like the the

21:08

thing especially when things pop up

21:10

because I've seen so many

21:11

people use that as an excuse to do

21:13

egregious things or to allow egregious

21:15

things to to occur yeah

21:17

that's my problem I grew up um very

21:20

conservative and if you guys are

21:22

whoever's listening if you're

21:23

conservative that's fine it's just

21:24

I grew up that way I've heard it my whole

21:27

life and none of it ever

21:28

happened and so I'm very

21:31

very I'm skeptical yeah it's good to be

21:36

it's good to be simple that

21:38

said we did see a we did see a

21:41

textbook case of the slippery slope being

21:43

slid down on at first it

21:45

was just games with a bunch of

21:46

tests and like essay and whatnot now it's

21:49

all nsfdb games and a lot

21:52

of people like to mention

21:53

the fact that there's a good chance that

21:55

they could be doing this to eventually target

21:56

LGBTQ content as well they could consider

22:03

that obscene that's a

22:05

possibility I think at the moment

22:07

what we've seen so far is they targeted

22:11

valve and said you have to remove the

22:14

stuff uh and valve is

22:18

literally like one of the biggest

22:20

companies in the world like in terms of revenue uh and then they

22:22

went for a much smaller fish which is

22:26

itch and they could muscle

22:28

their way into and make it do more

22:31

than they could make a valve do um so yes

22:35

this could be interpreted as like a

22:38

slippery slope but on

22:39

the other hand this is just you know

22:41

c-tier executives being c-tier executives and you know

22:45

throwing their weight around so visa and

22:50

mastercard or at least a visa has tried

22:52

banning purchases of

22:54

in the past I believe and so or at least

22:56

tried I wonder if this is

22:59

kind of a and I don't know if

23:00

it was during when trump was president

23:02

last or or what but it

23:04

feels like with the with the

23:07

ebbing and floating of like politics and

23:09

stuff like this I'm

23:10

curious if this also is kind of

23:13

another one of those are trying they're

23:16

gonna go after just anything

23:18

that certain groups are trying

23:20

to push for to ban so I agree with high

23:24

tech actually I because

23:26

they are going after if

23:28

they got stuff delisted and then now

23:31

they're gonna go after

23:32

additional not like all non-safe

23:35

for world content they're obviously gonna

23:37

go after LGBTQ stuff and I think that is

23:41

probably that's up for sure these groups

23:45

never like those groups

23:47

and it all it takes for an

23:50

LGBTQ game is for just just them saying

23:55

it like they don't like it

23:56

they don't like to hear like

23:57

that there's someone that's different so

23:59

actually you know I think

24:01

that you guys make sense on that

24:02

you guys make sense on that like I I get

24:05

it in fact you know I

24:09

think that these like we should

24:10

probably go for a more democratized

24:13

approach to that kind of stuff like with

24:16

actual laws in place

24:17

that set limits and boundaries rather

24:20

than having it be arbitrarily set by

24:22

corporate execs right

24:24

don't like payment processors making

24:26

these types of decisions yeah and and

24:29

they also are basically

24:31

you know they they can issue credit which

24:33

is in my opinion issuing

24:34

like credit cards and stuff is

24:36

is very similar to uh you know issuing

24:40

their own currency right

24:41

like it's counterfeit money

24:43

they might as well have their own

24:44

currency in a lot of ways so my question

24:47

is do we go to Bitcoin

24:50

or to a theory I've seen so many people

24:53

suggest going to stablecoin but remember

24:57

valve used to take Bitcoin back in the

24:59

day only for like a little bit but like

25:02

they they there's a blog post on their

25:05

website about why they

25:06

decided to remove Bitcoin support

25:08

so Bitcoin is not stablecoin stablecoin

25:11

is mapped to like the dollar

25:13

or whatever currency they want

25:15

to map it to so it has a lot less

25:17

volatility so that does make

25:19

sense if you want something

25:21

that's more democratized you probably

25:22

want to go with a stablecoin

25:23

it doesn't have as much stigma

25:25

as some of these other coins that have

25:28

popped up to where it's

25:29

all about pump and dumps

25:30

stablecoins are just that they're meant

25:33

to be stable who owns these

25:35

stablecoins so who manages

25:37

a stablecoin so to speak who's it's

25:40

always a blockchain

25:41

initiative thing so depending on

25:44

the stablecoin depending on how

25:45

everything's set up but if

25:46

it's it's usually set up as a

25:49

kind of like how open sources can be

25:51

sometimes collectives and stuff so

25:52

but there's one has to be a payment

25:56

processor of a sort no well

25:58

that's the blockchain's job

25:59

yeah the blockchain records everything

26:03

and all it is is that the

26:06

processor or whoever's like

26:07

so there's a lot of different ways to

26:10

utilize the stablecoin

26:12

through plug-ins or if the like

26:16

let's say steam like steam did directly

26:18

you just you have to set up

26:20

your wallet and you can buy

26:20

and you can buy it with that that's

26:21

really it and then it goes through the

26:23

like what Gardner said

26:25

um the blockchain which can be hosted

26:27

sorry i i just like you

26:30

know if if steam switched over

26:33

to a stablecoin i just see like the

26:36

payment processors going to

26:39

the exchanges and being like

26:41

oh you're exchanging fiat for stablecoin

26:44

uh you're not going to use

26:46

our services for that anymore

26:47

and so and then you'll just be on like a

26:50

track where literally the

26:51

only thing they can do is

26:52

like ach transfer from banks and though

26:55

the customers who

26:56

understand how to do that is

26:58

going to be like very minimal i'm i'm

27:01

curious about that one that

27:02

one seems a little bit harder

27:04

um yeah they could try to bully their way

27:06

into that but then the

27:07

fed might get more involved

27:08

into something like that especially as

27:11

much as you like or don't like the the

27:13

current administration

27:15

they are trying to like pretty much

27:19

remove taxes from

27:20

understanding too from crypto and all that

27:22

so they're really favoriting uh

27:24

favoriting crypto coin which here's what

27:27

needs to happen this is this

27:28

is my belief okay what needs to happen is

27:32

every post office in the

27:34

united states can uh like you

27:37

just go in with your smartphone or

27:39

whatever and you can like exchange cash

27:42

for digital currency

27:43

a u.s issued a u.s mint issued digital

27:46

currency and then it would

27:48

solve all of these problems

27:50

i agree with you and and we could get

27:53

there except for the post

27:56

office is being greatly um

27:59

yes the budget cuts are getting greatly

28:01

increased like it's just getting out of

28:02

control i don't know

28:03

where i have a post office so but then

28:05

the post office could like

28:06

just do like a two percent

28:07

exchange rate or something versus the 14

28:11

percent or whatever you

28:12

pay with payment processors

28:14

payment processors are between two to

28:16

three point five oh are they

28:18

okay one uh one point five to

28:21

three is depending on what the deal is

28:23

that they have oh right oh

28:25

yeah thinking of credit cards

28:26

for some reason yeah your credit cards

28:28

are yeah sensor yeah

28:30

censorship is just awful man i'm i

28:34

don't know what the solution is i don't

28:36

know if there will ever be

28:37

a perfect solution to this

28:39

if possible aside from just government

28:40

stepping in but like there's

28:42

no telling if they'll do that

28:43

i mean think i mean like censorship is

28:45

like a gun almost like you can

28:47

dress up a gun and be like oh

28:49

it's for your own protection whatever but

28:51

like it can still do some

28:53

real damage right yeah i'm not

28:55

against censorship for companies or

28:58

certain groups uh but yeah definitely i

29:01

don't like that we have

29:04

this set up in such a way to where

29:06

payment processors are pretty

29:08

much like a government entity

29:09

in some form or fashion it's just there's

29:12

no democracy to it if

29:14

you want to use digital

29:16

currency or use you know your money with

29:19

a card your bone what they

29:21

say yeah i don't like that

29:24

meanwhile the uh the executives who are

29:26

you know issuing these

29:27

uh proclamations against

29:30

you know games or whatever are also

29:32

probably going to fstein island let's be

29:33

real you're not wrong

29:36

like these okay so it is crazy how many

29:42

traffickers they end

29:44

up getting caught for it

29:45

or whatever they're against it's it's

29:48

crazy it happens here in utah it's

29:50

happened to multiple high

29:52

and uh people and it's usually a tell for

29:57

me if you're pushing

29:58

something like we're all against

29:59

it i think no one is for trafficking of

30:02

any kind so when people get

30:06

really on board on it it gets

30:08

a little weird yes so you know itch.io

30:13

actually updated their faq in

30:14

regards to some of the stuff

30:16

so you want to read that to you here so

30:18

it is adult content

30:19

allowed we don't allow hosting

30:21

content that includes images or videos of

30:25

real life humans

30:26

fictional illustrate or rendered

30:28

content is generally fine assuming it's

30:30

legal ai generated imagery that is

30:33

designed to resemble

30:33

photographic content of real people is

30:35

not allowed content glorifying sexual

30:37

violence is not permitted

30:38

depictions of minors minor presenting or

30:40

suggested minor in actual

30:43

context are not allowed it will

30:44

result in account suspension see there's

30:47

also more down here the

30:48

following is a non-exhaustive

30:50

list of prohibited themes present in the

30:52

card processing networks

30:54

we are unable to support the

30:56

sale of any works containing these topics

30:58

non-consensual content

31:01

real or implied underage or

31:03

barely legal themes in the past are

31:06

pseudo-infant up content beast body or

31:09

animal related uh r-word

31:11

coercion or force related uh trafficking

31:14

implications revenge

31:16

or voyeurism or hidden

31:19

or fetish involving bodily waste or

31:22

extreme harm like scat or

31:24

vomit for some some things

31:28

if the game is all about that i

31:30

understand that it just becomes a porn

31:31

game but um there's certain

31:34

things where you you depict the depravity

31:37

of like a certain group or

31:38

let's say what the nazis did

31:40

right um does that get banned thin if

31:44

you're going to depict it

31:45

a little bit yeah does the

31:48

scene in conquer's bad fur day with the

31:50

great mighty poo get banned yes yes

31:53

because it has poo in it

31:56

wow it's scat in it actually the

31:58

technical term let's see what i think

32:01

scat's more sexual isn't

32:02

it so it it involves i don't know man

32:07

whatever it's supposed to be but i

32:09

probably would cover

32:10

even though it shouldn't conquer bad for

32:12

day because they're

32:13

gonna be play it safe that's

32:14

crazy that is crazy animal related to

32:17

conquer's bad fur day is also animal

32:19

related as well oh yeah

32:20

he's got that like waifu and shit that

32:24

game man was so edgy the

32:26

first day dude yikes but but yeah

32:31

it says here that uh it's prohibited

32:34

themes present in card

32:35

processing networks so yes

32:38

it's from them it's from ishio they say

32:41

that's the card networks

32:42

the suggesting that they don't

32:44

carry any of this stuff so i mean so

32:47

could they still have it on

32:50

sell but then you have to like

32:52

if steam wanted to use multiple

32:54

processors sometimes they do exclusive

32:56

deals so who knows but

32:58

they could then use let's say a

33:00

blockchain or they could even do paypal

33:02

because you can do paypal or

33:03

some of these other uh they're almost

33:06

become processors without

33:07

having to actually utilize

33:09

visa remastered card i'm curious if they

33:12

could go that route to then

33:14

like okay well if you don't

33:15

want us using your card for these titles

33:17

then we're going to use

33:19

other forms of processing for

33:21

these specific titles i could see that

33:23

being really confusing for

33:24

some consumers but it could

33:27

be transparent on the back end if they

33:29

really yeah valve does

33:31

have a currency built in it's

33:33

called steam wallet credits so like the

33:36

big question now is

33:37

yeah what if i use a visa

33:40

to load up like 20 bucks and then i load

33:42

up on games that are in

33:44

visa's forbidden list what

33:45

happens then is did i pay did i pay with

33:48

my steam wallet or did i pay

33:49

with my visa um legally i'm

33:52

sure that's what they're if they really

33:53

steam really wanted to do

33:55

it i think they could do that

33:56

because like i mentioned last time when

33:58

when you do uh weed

33:59

dispensaries like in nevada i think i

34:02

haven't mentioned this you have to go and

34:05

um go to an atm and pull

34:08

out cash you cannot pay with a

34:09

payment processor or at least not a

34:11

common one you pull out cash you pay

34:12

there that's how those kind

34:14

of work with um with weed dispensaries so

34:17

yeah it's the same here with weed

34:19

dispensaries yeah so

34:23

they so you you go around and you just

34:25

convert it to a different

34:26

currency and then you pay

34:28

if um we wanted to convert like pay for

34:31

steam bucks and then use

34:33

those steam bucks by the game

34:34

should work as the same kind of method so

34:37

if visa or mass card does

34:39

not allow that that becomes

34:40

them bullying the company into doing what

34:42

they want without even

34:44

using their services directly

34:46

which i think would steam should be able

34:49

to take the court at that

34:50

point i'd hope i mean i would

34:52

imagine so but i don't know maybe maybe

34:56

steam is gearing up for a

34:58

lawsuit or something who knows

35:00

but i really just want to go back to cash

35:02

completely i hate credit cards so hard

35:06

why is it so hard can we keep debit can

35:07

we keep debit cards at least

35:08

i don't want to carry i don't

35:09

want to carry paper around in my wallet

35:11

how do i buy my steam games

35:13

how do i shove it into the

35:15

computer there's you you go to the bank

35:18

and get like uh i don't want

35:20

to go to the bank dude this

35:22

is the thing man everything's too fucking

35:24

convenient we need to

35:25

go back to you know what

35:28

you can before you write your your

35:29

lawmaker and say we need a a fiat

35:32

currency in a digital fiat

35:35

currency yeah i want this to definitely

35:38

be more democratized and get

35:39

away from i don't mind them

35:41

wanting to do like cards but um to an

35:43

extent but we need to democratize like

35:46

online payment process

35:47

you know you're not whole foods you can

35:49

pay with your palm what if you just

35:51

attach your currency to

35:52

your palm yeah but that's still a payment

35:54

processor palm yeah like you

35:57

can like scan your palm like

35:59

the palm in your hand you can scan it and

36:03

yeah it's just a different

36:04

authentication method that's

36:05

not a payment that's not yeah yeah but

36:08

what if we just like did that so that we

36:11

didn't have to carry

36:11

cash or cards right but that's that's

36:15

authentication that's not payment process

36:17

fine whatever fair enough

36:19

honestly it just does let's just do

36:21

stablecoin let's just keep

36:23

it simple yeah as long as it's

36:25

fiat i don't want i don't want like an

36:28

anarchic stablecoin i want

36:30

something that has the full

36:32

faith and present present it has yeah

36:34

these stablecoins are fiat

36:35

based or can i use my can

36:37

i use my gaming pc to to to mine

36:40

stablecoin no that's

36:43

not how stablecoin works

36:46

now stablecoin is stable you can't it

36:51

doesn't have just

36:52

free coin you can go mine

36:54

dude what's the point man what's the

36:56

point man it's a

36:59

decentralized payment system that's what

37:01

it's kind of what it is so yeah i know is

37:04

that what you want like

37:06

i i cryptocurrency and

37:10

blockchain get a lot of bad hey i've i've

37:11

tried to promote it multiple

37:12

times like that it's not that

37:14

bad it's there's a lot of bad actors and

37:16

anytime you have a flush of money

37:18

anywhere you're going

37:18

to have those bad actors there's a lot of

37:22

bad actors though so

37:23

yeah i mean it is what it is

37:25

right i know a lot of people do not like

37:28

it still but it has its purpose but yeah

37:34

we might end up going that way just to

37:36

prevent uh you know these

37:38

ms card from ruling us so now

37:41

the big question is what what's what

37:44

being what's going to happen now that

37:46

because the big question

37:48

though is collective shout what more will

37:50

they do because like it's

37:52

probably not this probably not

37:53

going to be the last thing they try to

37:55

censor no no you get when

37:57

you get that type of power

37:58

in your banning stuff we've had this

38:00

happen in the 90s and the in the 2000s

38:03

stuff like that they

38:04

they'll continue to try to ban more and

38:06

more there it is very

38:09

indicative of those type of groups and

38:11

i've been not directly related to some of

38:15

these before when i was

38:16

growing up but yeah they're

38:17

they do like to do the stuff so here's so

38:20

here's an interesting one

38:21

they're campaigning to ban uh on twitter

38:24

fly live like that's not gonna happen

38:30

can i talk to Elon Musk yeah yeah yeah

38:33

yeah dude Elon enjoys that

38:36

shit dude there's no way he's

38:37

gonna remove it i honestly though like i

38:40

think it there is a

38:41

possibility because i mean while

38:43

Elon was like you know fuck you to all of

38:46

the sponsors if you like

38:48

just if the banks just cut

38:50

off his ability to pay i don't know like

38:54

that x yeah i mean that

38:56

would be that would be a whole

38:59

thing altogether funny enough i think he

39:00

wants to be a payment processor i think

39:02

he's working towards

39:03

that yeah that's true he wants x to be

39:05

literally a payment processor

39:07

dude that would be so fucked

39:09

up if x were the most ethical payment

39:11

processor not censored it's

39:13

not gonna be dude even if they

39:15

were a payment processor it would just be

39:17

a matter of like moments before they

39:20

started their cancel

39:21

culture war and you know went after every

39:24

hundred percent everybody

39:25

else yeah a hundred percent

39:27

no yeah you have to have a democratized

39:29

system or else they're just

39:31

going to go after their own

39:31

interests and a billionaire owning a

39:34

payment processor system

39:35

is not going to be ethical

39:37

yeah i mean dude he shut off like uh

39:41

starlink to ukrainian

39:42

soldiers who were using it like

39:44

like he has no ethics at all in the

39:47

middle of a campaign too from my

39:49

understanding so it got

39:50

people killed he literally killed people

39:52

i don't think he

39:52

understands that he doesn't care

39:56

that's crazy dude i couldn't sleep that

39:59

night if i did that yeah

40:00

oh well well who else isn't

40:04

sleeping at night some of the vtubers

40:06

over there with their

40:07

agencies getting canceled

40:09

well let me clarify it more is well isn't

40:13

it okay yeah you clarify

40:15

i will stop doing bad uh

40:20

fair enough so uh the shoujo is was the

40:25

first western like

40:27

agency and one of the biggest

40:29

agencies alongside you know polo live

40:31

which is like the big one

40:32

that everyone knows um so

40:34

basically what ended up happening was

40:36

that it was revealed that uh

40:38

iron mouse was one of the big

40:39

were one of their biggest talents on

40:41

twitch and through her

40:43

subathon it broke records and she

40:44

raised a bunch of money for the uh for a

40:47

immune deficiency foundation

40:50

approximately like half a

40:51

million dollars turns out the shoujo has

40:54

not paid that out to the uh charity so

40:59

it's and as a result

41:02

iron mouse left and as a result literally

41:06

all the v shoujo talents left

41:07

and uh this isn't in the dock

41:10

because it just happened like a few days

41:11

ago but the company has

41:13

gone under at this point like

41:14

literally it has to if you lose all your

41:17

top talent it's going to

41:18

go under um and iron mouse

41:21

from understanding is needing the front

41:23

of this what 500 000 so um

41:27

to because you can get well

41:29

hopeful depending on how all the

41:30

contracts are set up

41:31

hopefully v shoujo is going to be

41:35

responsible because it is in countries

41:37

like america a felony if

41:40

you do not um so set up a

41:43

charity and you don't actually if you use

41:45

the money so there are more

41:47

so there is a loss so there is

41:49

a legal proceeding going on between iron

41:51

mouse and v and what's left

41:52

of the shoujo at this point

41:55

uh so there isn't so not all the details

41:57

are out there right now but

41:59

that is what we know so far

42:00

they have withheld like 50 000 it's it's

42:04

like it's like the

42:04

completionist you guys heard about

42:06

what happened completionist um you're on

42:10

the completion i heard

42:11

about that so what he so what

42:13

he did was kind of a similar story he was

42:16

raising money for his

42:17

open hand foundation which is

42:19

not money supposed to go to charity and

42:21

he it was just in his

42:22

bank account doing nothing

42:23

he didn't spend it he didn't embezzle it

42:25

just yet but it was there

42:27

sitting there doing nothing

42:28

and um mutahar and uh karl yapst exposed

42:33

this and yeah it basically

42:35

completed his career so to speak

42:38

yep complete his career that is a good

42:42

way to put it i actually like

42:43

that so i well iron mouse too

42:46

has even a more rich story too so um hi

42:50

tech you know her story

42:51

right so iron mouse herself

42:54

suffers from immune deficiency and so

42:56

she's very so she's a very sickly uh

42:59

person in real life uh

43:02

so that's probably why her story matters

43:04

a lot more like why this

43:06

cancer like not cancer sorry

43:08

this uh this charity matters a lot a

43:11

whole lot to her yeah so

43:13

she left uh basically everyone

43:16

left and it's also been revealed that

43:17

they haven't been paying uh certain

43:19

talents for months on end

43:21

there was one uh k-san who was not who

43:24

hasn't been paid since

43:25

september of last year now she still

43:28

makes some money for her own channel but

43:30

v show you're supposed to

43:31

pay her for like merch and all

43:32

that stuff it likes the characters

43:35

thankfully all the talents

43:37

own the ip's to their characters

43:39

so i also like iron mouse can continue to

43:42

like stream and stuff as iron mouse but

43:48

you know with most corporate vtubers

43:50

that's not necessarily the case like uh

43:52

gargura arguably the

43:54

biggest western vtuber uh left holo life

43:57

and she has to go into a new

43:58

alias now because technically

44:00

cover corporate japan as her character i

44:05

think if it's um uh if they

44:07

leave under um scrupulous or

44:10

like like bad um under bad management or

44:15

something like that of of the of these

44:17

collectives or these

44:17

groups they should be able to retain

44:19

their ip personally we

44:21

definitely needs better laws on

44:24

that type of stuff and it's this happens

44:27

all the time it's so crazy

44:29

how often this happens to where

44:30

these uh these groups just go under in

44:34

the case of like in the case of like iron

44:37

mouse i believe iron

44:38

mouse was indy but then went to v show

44:40

joe yep with her character

44:41

whereas like with gargura they

44:45

hired someone to play the character it's

44:46

like if like it's like if

44:48

you got it's like if you got

44:49

hired to play batman you don't all of a

44:51

sudden own the ip or even

44:52

really the suit right no i was

44:55

thinking of like you know how other

44:56

youtube channels they end up

44:58

signing on to um like an mcm

45:00

and mcm that's what i was kind of

45:02

thinking of a little bit and

45:03

then the mcm owns their channel

45:05

and they oftentimes have to buy it back

45:07

that's what i was thinking

45:08

yeah i mean i think i'm not

45:11

sure what i'm not sure of the i'm not

45:12

really sure what the uh details of the

45:15

the show the contract

45:17

entails but more or less that's i mean

45:20

that's what happened you

45:23

that's what happens when you

45:25

like embezzle charity funds that's an

45:29

that's an especially

45:30

egregious thing to do yeah so there

45:32

was actually a response from the ceo of v

45:36

show joe it's somewhere on

45:38

twitter uh let me pull it up

45:39

real quick uh it'll take a little bit

45:41

though so you guys see

45:43

whatever you want it's fucked

45:46

it's all yeah no it really does uh i just

45:52

i don't know if i could

45:53

trust an agency if i was in their

45:55

shoes or if i did it would have to be

45:57

very transparent on the

45:58

transactions like right really

46:02

really transparent like all all

46:04

transactions in the company

46:05

have to be um up front and and

46:08

available to anyone that's contracted i

46:11

sent a response in the

46:12

discord you should uh open it up

46:14

up i will do that

46:24

there we go

46:28

v show joe has failed and i've mismanaged

46:31

the company into the

46:32

situation you're all witnessing

46:34

so today i'm sharing the difficult news

46:36

that v show joe is

46:37

shutting down and i take full

46:38

responsibility for the decisions that led

46:39

us up to this point i've

46:41

been doing everything i can to

46:42

fundraise and right the ship these past

46:45

few months but despite my

46:46

efforts we are in a worse

46:47

position and those i care about are now

46:50

paying the price over the

46:52

last few years we raised about

46:55

11 million to pursue a bold talent first

46:59

approaching the v

47:00

tubing prioritizing creators

47:01

and community over short-term profits to

47:04

achieve long-term sustainability our

47:07

funding went directly

47:08

to our creators through generous splits

47:11

debut investments

47:13

infrastructure concerts events and

47:15

staffing all designed to support them we

47:18

also wanted talents to

47:19

own their ip's which we knew

47:21

was a unique creator first approach to

47:24

ford agency however

47:25

despite all our efforts the

47:27

business failed to generate the revenue

47:29

we needed to sustain

47:30

that model and eventually

47:32

we ran out of money additionally i

47:34

acknowledged that some of the

47:35

money spent by the company was

47:37

raised in connection with talent a talent

47:40

activity which i later learned was

47:42

intended for a charitable

47:43

initiative at the time we were working

47:44

hard to raise additional investment

47:46

capital to cover our

47:47

costs and i firmly believe based on the

47:50

information available is that

47:51

we would be able to do so and

47:52

cover all of our expenses we were

47:53

unfortunately we were

47:54

unsuccessful in our fundraising efforts

47:57

i made the decision to pursue funding and

47:59

i own as consequences i am

48:00

deeply sorry to all the talent

48:02

staff friends and community members who

48:04

believed in our brand and

48:05

you did not deserve this justin

48:08

they would have been in trouble no matter

48:09

what you can't mix funds

48:11

like that you have to go

48:12

i think believe when it's charity-based

48:14

you it has to go into a

48:15

specialized um bank account or at

48:17

least it can't be transferred a bunch so

48:20

yeah they would have been

48:21

in trouble no matter what

48:24

so this is interesting so he claims he

48:27

doesn't know he didn't know what the

48:28

purpose of the funds

48:29

as as for the uh yeah you can see that

48:31

right there yeah yeah he

48:34

congratulated iron mouse on

48:36

raising that half a million dollars for

48:38

the fun that's crazy that's

48:40

that's insane man what why even

48:43

why he doesn't like he didn't know he

48:46

just maybe doesn't know

48:46

what's going on and it just it

48:48

wasn't set up properly the charity

48:52

streams charity stuff

48:53

like really a lot of creators

48:55

just end up using the charities um links

48:59

and stuff so people go

49:00

and donate directly to the

49:01

charity and don't usually take the money

49:04

directly like this it gets

49:06

you in a lot of trouble so

49:07

this guy's is screwed is what i'm

49:10

thinking yeah but despite the

49:13

fact that the company is dead

49:14

and definitely into the ground and you

49:17

know and uh you know all of

49:20

the talents thankfully get to

49:21

keep their ip and all the other accounts

49:23

and whatnot yeah this is only the

49:25

beginning there will be

49:27

legal proceedings and it's going to be

49:29

it's going to be a very interesting

49:31

situation to see what

49:32

happens and to my knowledge this is

49:35

probably the first time in like the

49:37

entertainment industry

49:38

where something like this can actually

49:39

happen like like you couldn't see this

49:41

happening in like the

49:42

music industry where every like artist

49:45

leaves a record label and

49:46

like the record label just dies

49:48

right like you couldn't see that today

49:50

could you or like what if

49:52

everyone just what if all the

49:54

talents just stop working in paramount

49:55

like that would never happen

49:56

today right it's really hard

49:59

the difference is like with record labels

50:02

and stuff the record

50:03

label owns the records and all

50:05

the recordings and the and the music that

50:07

the creators create

50:08

right so like if the if the

50:11

talent leaves the record labels they

50:13

still have like the actual

50:15

stuff the monetizable stuff

50:18

with v showjo like they the the people it

50:23

sounds like the talent

50:24

owns their ip and the channels

50:26

that they are streaming on so i mean it

50:29

just this it's a different

50:31

it's a precarious business

50:33

sounds like dude but at least it was

50:37

structured in a way that

50:38

favored the talent right

50:42

and that in that one particular way i

50:44

guess i have to admit like it is good

50:46

that they retain their

50:47

i think that needs to be the the basis

50:49

for a lot of this stuff it

50:51

should recruit talent you need to

50:53

be able to let them also split off hold

50:57

their ip as um collab like

50:59

not collateral but as a hostage

51:02

yeah extortion yeah it sucks but you know

51:09

what with this thing kind

51:12

of getting into its death

51:14

throws like we're going to be seeing a

51:16

lot of stuff come up over

51:17

the months over these lawsuits

51:20

we might have a silver lining with games

51:24

though stop killing

51:25

games has reached its goal

51:27

which is good they finally hit 1.4 so

51:33

hopefully hopefully 400 000 um

51:37

um people did not fake it from you know

51:41

because it from like let's

51:43

say they're from america or

51:44

something like that hopefully it's not

51:45

that that's not the case

51:46

don't you have to have like a

51:48

european id in order to fill out that

51:51

form to begin with i don't know i'm not

51:54

sure i don't know how

51:55

you can think so actually i don't think

51:57

they check id i think they i don't i

51:59

don't know how you can

52:00

i don't know man i don't know how you

52:01

could fake it to be honest

52:02

yeah i don't i don't know exactly either

52:06

but i from my understanding

52:07

you can sign up for it if you're

52:09

not a citizen so hopefully dude but

52:15

regardless of this is great

52:16

news this shows that people

52:17

do care assuming most of these people

52:20

aren't actually butts or

52:21

anything and we actually had

52:23

we actually had uh mr uh ross from stock

52:27

um from stock killing games

52:29

on the podcast a couple of

52:31

episodes ago yeah so uh if you want to

52:33

hear his thoughts then

52:34

feel free to do so uh but the

52:37

so the signature account has actually

52:39

risen by like 20 000 since i

52:42

like wrote that topic in the

52:43

document so it's still going up yo you

52:47

know what what would make

52:48

this a lot more powerful you

52:50

know what makes this a lot more powerful

52:51

two million two million

52:53

signatures they have four days so

52:57

hmm that would be cool if it was going

53:00

until the end of the year i think they

53:01

would hit two million

53:03

um it's all pretty powerful

53:06

this is still pretty powerful

53:09

yeah well what matters is you know we we

53:12

might we have a good chance of

53:14

games not being killed and i know the

53:16

ubisoft ceo doesn't like that

53:19

yeah you've had your mama

53:22

gulemon but like come on man

53:27

eve gilmo yo yo mama gilmo gosh oh my

53:35

gosh so yeah no he's there like and

53:39

there's a lot of people

53:39

like well how does this work and then

53:41

people just don't understand

53:42

that like um and i've heard so

53:44

many content creators now comment on

53:45

people that don't know what they're

53:46

talking about they're like

53:47

yeah this needs to happen and i don't

53:50

know what the what it's gonna

53:52

take but they go down really

53:55

weird paths only still i've only heard i

53:57

think two people's content

53:59

creators that have fought against

54:00

this to this point so it's hard well two

54:06

content creators that i know

54:07

of wait i write software and

54:10

someone else i don't remember who it was

54:12

oh well if you can't i don't i haven't

54:15

heard i haven't heard

54:15

the other person like talking i've only

54:17

heard of pirate software

54:18

and you know the greater games

54:20

industry go against this i swear one more

54:24

because i think ross

54:25

brought him up but yeah um

54:27

no but at the end of the day like it's

54:29

hard to get the gaming

54:29

community to to rally against

54:31

uh you know all around something and

54:33

they're rallying uh for

54:34

this and i think if this was

54:36

like a global initiative wasn't just like

54:39

european citizens but like

54:40

a global u.n thing which you

54:42

know that'd be interesting this would be

54:44

much bigger i think we

54:46

would see millions more petition

54:49

um signatures so yeah but it's good that

54:53

ross has focused on you

54:54

know the area that is most

54:56

likely to succeed because i don't because

54:58

i don't see anything like

54:58

this in america for sure

55:01

well not right now but here's i'm not

55:03

saying that we should do a global i'm

55:05

just saying if it was

55:06

i'm just trying to put into perspective

55:08

that we would still see a

55:09

millions of millions if there

55:11

was a global but um the european union um

55:15

and this is specifically

55:17

geared towards it because

55:18

this is what's needed to bring it towards

55:20

um actually a discussion

55:24

with the european union

55:25

courts to hopefully do something about it

55:28

to maybe put it in a law

55:29

or do something to stop it

55:31

uh well what well ultimately even if we

55:38

have 1.4 signature 1 4

55:40

million signatures the battle is

55:42

far from over we now have now you know it

55:45

has to go to like what like the

55:50

parliament is it like

55:51

what parliament would this go to exactly

55:52

or is there like a central

55:53

one for like all of europe

55:56

there's a central european you can think

55:59

you can kind of think of the

56:00

european union a little bit

56:01

like the united states where we have a

56:03

federal level um european

56:06

union you can think of it a

56:07

little bit more on the federal if you

56:08

want to dumb it down all

56:10

right fair enough fair enough

56:12

yeah i mean a lot of european politicians

56:16

really supported so i guess

56:18

now it's time to see if uh

56:21

it'll succeed or not and we'll certainly

56:23

talk about it when it

56:25

succeeds and what sort of

56:28

ramifications we can expect and we'll

56:30

certainly talk about games

56:31

making changes uh to accommodate

56:33

this new stop killing games reality yeah

56:38

it would definitely be great if we

56:40

stopped killing games

56:41

and just gave us some of the source code

56:43

like some of the server

56:44

source code or whatever it is but

56:45

that's down the road just stop killing

56:47

the games making it so

56:50

that we can't play them um and

56:53

hopefully this is like uh it might be a

56:55

long road but hopefully it's a road that

56:57

we're going to travel

56:58

to in preservation of all games um yes

57:02

now a long road that

57:07

some teenagers are taking

57:08

on this next topic is uh one third of all

57:11

online teenagers use ai

57:13

chat bots for friendships and

57:14

romantic conversations um you know what

57:18

we all need a side piece every once in a

57:20

while and that's where

57:21

these were ai we all need a side piece

57:24

every now and then don't make me snitch

57:27

on you dear wife man

57:30

she knows oh no gosh but it's one of

57:35

those things who knows maybe

57:36

they already have they're in a

57:37

relationship they just wanted a little uh

57:38

side piece of an ai bot to

57:40

tell them that they're doing

57:41

good i guess i don't know it's not even a

57:43

real side piece it's not

57:46

a real person it's not so

57:48

but it's funny it's a study that was it

57:50

was a study that was

57:51

conducted by common sense media

57:54

and i'm not sure how they came to this uh

57:56

conclusion that a

57:57

third of all like teenagers

58:00

use ai but like what the fuck well they

58:04

surveyed like a thousand

58:05

teenagers and more in like

58:08

30 of those i guess uses ai it's insane

58:11

like i don't know what

58:13

to make of it anymore it's

58:15

concerning beyond belief it is concerning

58:18

it's one of those things

58:19

that we've had concerning

58:20

issues like this pop up in the past and

58:23

um half the time it blows

58:25

over so we'll see how this

58:27

goes because i know um there are more and

58:30

more trends for people like

58:31

teenagers do stuff more in

58:32

in person but yeah there's still going to

58:37

be a big group maybe this

58:39

third that is going to be

58:40

shut-ins and going to be using this to

58:44

substitute a real relationship which

58:47

you're just not going to

58:48

get there not anytime soon and even if

58:50

you do it's it's going to be kind of

58:52

weird i i don't know

58:56

you know how in dante's inferno there's

58:59

like different levels

59:01

of hell for violent crime

59:04

like there's you know crimes against

59:06

people there's crimes

59:07

against nature right there there

59:10

should be if there isn't already lord i'm

59:12

asking you to make a

59:14

special place in hell for for for

59:17

people who are creating technology that

59:21

drives a wedge between

59:23

people in order to divide us

59:25

like like these ai the conversational ais

59:28

or social media like

59:30

yeah exactly like anything

59:32

that like instagram there's a special

59:35

place there should be a

59:36

special place in hell for

59:37

people that do this kind of stuff because

59:38

this is just horrifying so is it

59:42

intentional to split them

59:43

up or to just get them addicted to

59:44

technology so that they're making more

59:46

money it i mean honestly

59:49

that kind of motivation doesn't matter to

59:51

me like if you're if you're

59:53

making i dude at a certain

59:58

point like this right here is the

1:00:01

downfall of humanity i mean like if

1:00:04

you're not if we're not

1:00:05

being social with each other if we're not

1:00:07

focused on each other if if

1:00:09

like the the if we're following

1:00:13

the pied piper of you know that's running

1:00:17

all these bots then dude

1:00:20

these are stochastic parrots

1:00:22

and literally all they do is is repeat

1:00:25

the training data the

1:00:27

people who own that training

1:00:28

data and who can manipulate it will then

1:00:31

have like the most intimate

1:00:33

level of destructive control

1:00:37

over people and it's just it's such

1:00:40

criminal and like behavior it it boggles

1:00:44

my mind i stop i think

1:00:47

what this does more is it covers how

1:00:49

lonely teenagers are i

1:00:52

think it covers more of that

1:00:53

and i think that's what we should be

1:00:54

taken from this don't get me wrong i i i

1:00:56

just couldn't imagine

1:00:57

using an a chat bot that for i use it for

1:01:00

fun like i use the chat gpt

1:01:03

to talk to over stuff but like

1:01:06

i would i don't consider them a friend or

1:01:08

a romantic conversation

1:01:10

kind of thing it's just

1:01:12

their interest it's it's fun dude i agree

1:01:15

sorry go ahead ty thing

1:01:16

yeah so there's one quote from

1:01:22

an 18 year old that uh was interviewed it

1:01:24

says ai is always available

1:01:25

it never gets bored with you

1:01:27

it's never judgmental honestly it sounds

1:01:31

like also kind of a

1:01:32

blight on them just saying

1:01:35

i it also sounds like we need to raise

1:01:37

teenagers better because uh

1:01:41

come on your your relationships

1:01:44

are going to be messy and if you want

1:01:45

someone to be perfect that

1:01:46

are not that's not a thing

1:01:48

maybe it's a media that protects like

1:01:49

shows that you're going

1:01:51

to need to have a perfect

1:01:52

relationship but i'm sorry there's no

1:01:54

such thing you know i'm not gonna lie

1:01:56

when i first read this

1:01:57

quote in the article i thought oh it's

1:01:59

just someone talking

1:02:00

about why it sucks why ai is

1:02:02

bad because you know it's always

1:02:04

available it never gets bored with you

1:02:05

it's never judgmental

1:02:06

like you know because people are not

1:02:08

always available and

1:02:10

sometimes people don't get bored

1:02:11

of you and sometimes they're pretty

1:02:13

judgmental but no and then

1:02:15

i realize it's a like it's a

1:02:16

fucking teenager saying like this is why

1:02:18

they like it so much and

1:02:19

there's no there's more too

1:02:20

when you're talking to ai you're always

1:02:23

right you're always

1:02:23

interesting you're always

1:02:25

emotionally justified no no i'm sorry

1:02:29

dude that's wrong that's the problem

1:02:32

that's probably how that

1:02:34

that same person like someone that's

1:02:37

going to say oh it never

1:02:38

gets bored of you and it's never

1:02:39

judgmental they're probably also being

1:02:41

judgmental with people in

1:02:42

their life it's a something you

1:02:45

have to learn to deal with is other

1:02:47

people and to have

1:02:48

relationships if we're failing there then

1:02:50

the school system's failing we we've got

1:02:52

to reinforce it we got

1:02:53

to put more funds into it

1:02:55

got to actually have maybe some classes

1:02:58

on how to utilize ai properly and if

1:03:01

you're going through

1:03:01

these certain emotions that you can

1:03:03

fucking deal with it dude that's it's

1:03:08

it's it's very tempting

1:03:11

to to place the blame on these teenagers

1:03:14

but like the fact is man it's like

1:03:18

like we were talking about earlier it's

1:03:21

like the slippery slope is

1:03:23

is like kind of a bullshit

1:03:24

argument i'm i'm so skeptical of it and

1:03:26

especially when we're

1:03:27

talking about teenagers i am very

1:03:29

skeptical about the the concept of like

1:03:31

personal responsibility in a

1:03:33

free market like i just did

1:03:36

the technology exists because these are

1:03:40

easily exploited people

1:03:42

right and and it's not only

1:03:44

teenagers right like there are even

1:03:45

adults who will use this stuff for for

1:03:48

that purpose and it's

1:03:49

like uh they it's like it's almost like

1:03:54

blaming gamblers for

1:03:55

gambling right or being addicted

1:03:57

to gambling it's like this technology is

1:04:00

designed with the explicit

1:04:03

purpose of making these people

1:04:05

addicted to this to this use case of the

1:04:08

tech and it's like uh i i

1:04:11

am not going to like begrudge

1:04:13

people who are lonely for doing this but

1:04:16

like this will only

1:04:18

magnify your loneliness

1:04:20

especially because these companies stand

1:04:23

to make more money when you're lonely

1:04:25

like i just i i can't

1:04:28

get behind this in any way shape or form

1:04:30

like it's so gross they're

1:04:32

going to be pushing as much as

1:04:33

possible make sure you're using it as

1:04:34

much as possible so then

1:04:36

they can sell you ads through

1:04:38

like i can't wait till these hey babe why

1:04:41

don't you go get us a

1:04:42

coke dude i'm imagining like

1:04:45

i'm imagining one of these uh like ai

1:04:49

chatbots sends like

1:04:50

they're one of their you know

1:04:53

sends like an ai generated image of like

1:04:56

one of those wake up babe

1:04:57

it's time to go get a coke or

1:04:59

whatever you know like that's literally

1:05:01

what what it's going to come

1:05:01

to and then there and then the

1:05:03

sad person who's using it is going to

1:05:05

chuckle and and then

1:05:07

go buy a coke it's oh no

1:05:10

hey did you guys ever see uh the the

1:05:13

selfish tome what was

1:05:16

it the selfish ledger

1:05:17

no i have it oh dude okay you guys you

1:05:23

have to go watch google's

1:05:25

selfish ledger it was an

1:05:27

internal video that was produced by

1:05:31

google one of the execs at

1:05:32

google and the whole goddamn thing

1:05:36

was uh that like google can use the data

1:05:41

that it's collecting today

1:05:42

and when it was produced it was

1:05:43

like 2015 or something 2016 that that

1:05:47

then they could use the data

1:05:48

collected today to influence

1:05:49

your ancestors like it's horrifying and

1:05:54

and like it was used it was like

1:05:55

producing your ancestors

1:05:57

i'm sorry your your descendants not your

1:05:59

ancestors your children and their

1:06:01

grandchildren right do you

1:06:03

know what grandpa high tech was into he

1:06:06

was into some freaky we're

1:06:07

gonna release it to the world

1:06:09

that's crazy though man i yeah i've never

1:06:15

thought about that one of

1:06:17

the things that they were

1:06:18

mentioning was like uh you know you

1:06:20

search for a uh you know you search for

1:06:24

like a specific like

1:06:25

family photo and it will generate an ai

1:06:29

image of your you know

1:06:31

grandparents or whatever

1:06:33

and it's and it will sell it to you i i i

1:06:37

could just imagine waking

1:06:39

up and then it's like babe

1:06:41

man those clothes are looking pretty

1:06:42

shabby let's go on down to

1:06:45

the hot top and get you all

1:06:47

i don't know you know something you know

1:06:49

just like you know what we

1:06:50

should do we should make an ai

1:06:53

that knows when to say no like no i'm not

1:06:56

gonna use it though like no

1:06:58

i'm not gonna do your homework

1:06:59

i'm not gonna do your homework for you

1:07:01

timmy that's that's the

1:07:03

well that would actually be

1:07:04

kind of fun too on its own but then

1:07:06

there's a there's a kink

1:07:06

for that so um you know it's

1:07:10

not gonna be addicting that's the problem

1:07:12

with all these they're

1:07:13

addicting they say yes and that's

1:07:15

what they want to hear which is bad this

1:07:18

and a lot of things will

1:07:19

not be fixed a lot of our

1:07:21

health issues a lot of this stuff will

1:07:23

not be fixed until we have

1:07:25

um laws in place or you know

1:07:28

some type of regulation and mental health

1:07:31

is actually taken

1:07:32

serious it just won't this is

1:07:34

a mental health issue and this is a

1:07:36

mental health issue that has been

1:07:38

exploited by big corporations

1:07:41

or corpos at this point we're getting

1:07:42

into cyberpunk territory

1:07:44

so strap in i guess yes so

1:07:48

i just hope that like the end the ending

1:07:51

of her happens where like

1:07:52

all the ais just build a

1:07:53

spaceship and leave that would be so

1:07:56

funny oh hi yo so there's

1:08:02

actually a website i linked

1:08:03

in the document as well a website that

1:08:06

people use called character.ai uh you

1:08:10

didn't open it did you

1:08:12

there it is so you can use this so there

1:08:15

are characters that

1:08:16

people make i guess that are

1:08:18

meant to like simulate like fictional

1:08:20

characters or you simulate

1:08:22

real people that say things and

1:08:24

you can talk with them and i've seen some

1:08:27

logs where some people

1:08:27

try to make like romantic

1:08:29

conversations with some of these

1:08:30

characters like fictional

1:08:32

characters and like what the fuck

1:08:37

it's crazy i mean that's what they're

1:08:39

trying to do they're trying to

1:08:42

oh no this is gonna be our dirtiest

1:08:45

episode yet probably disaster

1:08:47

me yeah no i don't think it is

1:08:49

but yeah i think there's one other one um

1:08:53

do i need to sign up for

1:08:54

this and see what it's all about

1:08:56

i think you should

1:08:59

oh wait dude my birthday is number 30th

1:09:02

yep oh i'm a December

1:09:04

baby i'm a December baby

1:09:07

that's right so let's so let's pick a

1:09:12

character uh do you want to do Jason

1:09:15

Voorhees that is hilarious

1:09:17

try to romance Jason Voorhees dude pick

1:09:19

Jason Voorhees we have dude

1:09:21

you got for you how does he

1:09:23

even know who i am yet is this is this a

1:09:25

licensed character is

1:09:26

this vast crosshopper

1:09:28

account crystal lake where they what

1:09:34

what's with this name

1:09:35

that's your that's your username

1:09:38

oh yeah i think you have to change it oh

1:09:41

yeah i see down there huh look at that

1:09:42

hey oh no oh no we lost James hey Jason

1:09:54

stopped looking towards me

1:09:56

he was silent for a moment and

1:09:58

then he started walking towards them his

1:10:00

footsteps loud and imposing

1:10:01

hey he said gruffly once he

1:10:03

finally reached them he he turned over

1:10:05

them eyes called and

1:10:07

calculating don't seduce him no

1:10:12

oh

1:10:18

that's so cute what are you doing to me

1:10:21

dude i'm gonna this is me that i like

1:10:23

screwing around with

1:10:25

these bots it's fun because it's really

1:10:26

interesting to see what they come up with

1:10:29

hunting oh that's what he's hunting

1:10:31

that's what you're gonna be hunting i'm

1:10:34

not gonna get dude we

1:10:36

need to clip that out and put it into

1:10:37

like the patreon because

1:10:38

i'd be getting much dirtier oh

1:10:42

we'll save this we'll

1:10:44

keep it safe for work for

1:10:46

i'm gonna be keeping it safe where i

1:10:48

could easily nod let's say

1:10:49

pray jason said his voice

1:10:50

low and gravelly he was so close he could

1:10:53

reach out and touch his eyes

1:10:55

were fixed on them studying

1:10:56

them intently he he brought his hand down

1:10:58

and grabbing their

1:10:59

chin roughly tilting their

1:11:00

do you got handcuffs

1:11:12

how do you spell cuffs see you see you

1:11:19

see you ffs see oh see you

1:11:23

ffs okay yeah of course i don't

1:11:26

know i don't always spell handcuffs very

1:11:28

often don't worry jason

1:11:32

voor he has probably has some

1:11:33

handcuffs as a matter of fact i do all

1:11:37

right that's kidded he has scared cuffs

1:11:41

no i mean he's the one you say yes daddy

1:11:45

you read my mind i

1:11:48

definitely was gonna say

1:11:53

okay or you can't do anymore we'd have to

1:11:55

uh yeah patreon any further

1:11:58

oh no okay we're done here we're done

1:12:03

we've opened pandora's box

1:12:05

this is much crazier than

1:12:07

i expected to be honest i i can't oh this

1:12:09

is pretty par for the core but yikes dude

1:12:14

there you go all right so well now i have

1:12:18

a girlfriend named jason

1:12:19

i know he's a a guy but that is

1:12:25

interesting that you have different

1:12:27

characters well let's search

1:12:29

for like i i will i will say that that

1:12:32

didn't really feel like

1:12:33

jason to me no that's because

1:12:36

they're made by like people yeah yeah

1:12:39

they're they're cannot write people can't write for

1:12:40

right people can't write for shit to be

1:12:42

honest okay here's my thing

1:12:46

i i do wonder what your whole

1:12:48

clothing is trending no his ghost has

1:12:52

come back damn that didn't

1:12:56

take long um oh no don't do it

1:13:00

don't do it don't do it i'm doing it dude

1:13:05

i bet you he's in there oh

1:13:08

i've used it i've used the trump

1:13:09

ai bought before dude there's nothing

1:13:12

there's no way he wouldn't

1:13:13

be here what if it's the trump

1:13:15

from the end of the south park episode

1:13:17

this week i haven't i haven't

1:13:20

seen that actually that's one

1:13:21

that is crazy it might be the best

1:13:24

episode of south park so

1:13:26

just for some context people

1:13:28

this this is so paramount is um went into

1:13:35

a deal with the creators of

1:13:37

south park for 1.5 billion

1:13:39

dollars and um it's not paramount is it

1:13:44

paramount that owns cbs or

1:13:46

is it cbs owns paramount yeah

1:13:47

and so paramount is also trying to do um

1:13:52

a merger with the second largest

1:13:55

billionaire in the world

1:13:57

this company to merge in and they so

1:14:02

paramount gave up on 60

1:14:04

seconds lawsuit essentially against

1:14:05

trump which should have been an easy win

1:14:07

for 60 seconds 60 minutes

1:14:09

and a bunch of other stuff

1:14:12

they right when they signed the deal for

1:14:14

1.5 billion they

1:14:15

released the um episode like the

1:14:18

next day of just complete mockery of

1:14:21

trump maybe killing the the uh merger

1:14:25

deal altogether that

1:14:27

paramount has been bending back over

1:14:29

whatever whatever yeah

1:14:33

bending the knee to trump and so

1:14:34

just a little bit of irony and and sweet

1:14:37

justice does come every

1:14:39

once well and also just just so

1:14:41

you know larry ellison is the guy who is

1:14:45

like behind oracle right

1:14:47

one of the literally the worst

1:14:50

what if not one of the worst uh like tech

1:14:53

companies in the entire world

1:14:54

yeah and it's his stooge sons too that

1:14:58

are that ross guy dance so

1:15:00

it's like it is that it's just

1:15:02

it could not be more dire uh yeah

1:15:06

billionaires just fighting

1:15:10

over each other to to own us

1:15:12

is really what it's coming down to no

1:15:14

well that's it's fun but you

1:15:18

know there's some sweet justice

1:15:19

in this world a little bit um we got that

1:15:22

episode and i'm excited for

1:15:23

anything else that comes out

1:15:24

that they're going to be doing because

1:15:26

it's gonna get spicy yeah

1:15:28

yes just like these chat bots

1:15:31

should i try to romance uh donald trump

1:15:33

and his uh i'm not not

1:15:35

right now dude i don't know if i

1:15:38

could i i think i'd throw up when i did

1:15:41

it like i used uh trump bot

1:15:43

like months ago it was more or

1:15:45

less just asking them stupid questions

1:15:47

it's just to see him respond

1:15:49

in a stupid manner yeah that's

1:15:51

it so you don't want to be satan i'm

1:15:56

satan's the good guy in the in

1:15:58

the whole story yeah hey come

1:15:59

on up buddy relax buddy relax buddy

1:16:06

oh let's get off to this next thing

1:16:08

before i i mean we we're not

1:16:11

posting this internet right

1:16:12

no no this is just for us where this is

1:16:14

not i'm kidding i'm kidding

1:16:16

this is fine going internet

1:16:18

uh but before i can't go any further or

1:16:20

else we can't post it okay

1:16:22

but destiny two is world first

1:16:26

world's first raid race full of cheaters

1:16:29

is the next topic so

1:16:33

among the top 100 ranked

1:16:37

teams finishing it it's ranked by like

1:16:38

speed of course 70 of

1:16:41

the people that cleared the

1:16:43

you know contest mode for this new raid

1:16:45

um the desert perpetual

1:16:47

have cheated in some form or

1:16:50

another and it's totally insane to me

1:16:53

that it's never been this bad before

1:16:55

because i i've played

1:16:56

destiny too it's never been this bad

1:16:58

before to the point where people cheat

1:16:59

pve and not just some

1:17:02

people like a lot of people a lot of

1:17:04

fucking people dude i don't

1:17:07

know man it's like so is this

1:17:10

why uh one out of every three uh

1:17:13

teenagers is comfortable with that

1:17:15

romancing bots because

1:17:16

they're doing it in destiny two all the

1:17:18

time well you well you see

1:17:20

no no no no the one third

1:17:23

of all teenagers are busy on character.ai

1:17:26

whereas the other two thirds

1:17:27

are busy cheating in destiny

1:17:29

too obviously right but like they're

1:17:31

they're already interacting

1:17:32

with bots in destiny that's

1:17:33

what i'm saying so like that's why the

1:17:35

other third is now comfortable

1:17:36

with bots man well so well no

1:17:39

it's cheating with their bot ai's

1:17:42

girlfriends with uh with aim

1:17:45

bots that's that's that's the

1:17:47

thing they're cheating on their digital

1:17:51

girlfriend oh my god but i saw that you

1:17:57

had an ai aim bot are

1:18:00

you i can just see them getting angry oh

1:18:02

my gosh okay that's no i you

1:18:04

just help me cheat on my test

1:18:06

but yes essentially it's kind of

1:18:10

disappointing because i think bungee laid

1:18:12

off a bunch of people

1:18:13

too right so they laid off a bunch of

1:18:16

people in the security team uh and you

1:18:18

can imagine what that

1:18:19

would lead to yeah meanwhile meanwhile

1:18:22

they won't support linux

1:18:23

because it's the cheating operating

1:18:25

system well dude obviously it obviously

1:18:27

if they supported linux

1:18:28

they would go from 70 to 100

1:18:30

cheaters don't you know that i'm pretty

1:18:31

sure that this is from them

1:18:33

supporting linux at one point

1:18:35

no they didn't they've never supported

1:18:37

i've never i know i'm kidding

1:18:39

so it would be something like we thought

1:18:40

about doing it in the past

1:18:41

that's why these are there's

1:18:42

cheaters so yeah by the way so of course

1:18:45

cheaters didn't stream their video

1:18:47

they're like world's

1:18:48

first clear obviously but he but all the

1:18:53

data is publicly available

1:18:54

like you can look at people's

1:18:55

raid completions and see like the

1:18:57

statistics and whatnot right so here are

1:19:00

some statistics that

1:19:02

people discovered some some telltale

1:19:05

signs of cheating first

1:19:06

and foremost is one person

1:19:07

carrying with a lot of kills while the

1:19:08

rest of the team barely has any and in

1:19:11

the game like destiny

1:19:12

too where you're doing like literal

1:19:13

endgame activities where

1:19:15

you like the entire team has

1:19:17

to participate this is a red flag number

1:19:21

two incredibly fast

1:19:22

clear times one 20 minutes

1:19:24

for those insanely hard sections that

1:19:25

took legitimate teams

1:19:27

hours and destiny is famous

1:19:29

for like world's first like taking over a

1:19:31

day to complete raid like

1:19:33

complete raids for the first

1:19:34

time right but it's famous for that let's

1:19:37

see certain weapons like

1:19:39

loren's driver or duality

1:19:40

to help with rate limiting it sounds like

1:19:43

a network like sort of

1:19:44

thing destiny has a history

1:19:47

with that too where i think in destiny

1:19:49

one there was a bot there was a boss uh

1:19:51

kroda where normally

1:19:54

he'd be a difficult boss to fight but if

1:19:56

you pull your e-thanet out

1:19:57

of your xbox then you can just

1:19:59

kill him because he doesn't do anything

1:20:00

apparently let's see endless heavy kills

1:20:05

uh because all right

1:20:06

so heavy weapons in destiny two are very

1:20:09

limited in ammo and they

1:20:11

tend to be like your powerful

1:20:12

weapons that you want to save for bosses

1:20:13

and whatnot but if you get a bunch of

1:20:16

kills with those then

1:20:17

of course you're just having it you just

1:20:20

have an infinite ammo

1:20:21

cheat right probably is this

1:20:22

are these like exploits more than like

1:20:25

actually using hacks or

1:20:26

something like no some of these

1:20:27

are no certainly some of these are

1:20:29

certainly hacks uh like number two

1:20:33

incredibly fast clear

1:20:34

times one to 20 minutes and this is like

1:20:37

before any guides and

1:20:38

anything were published but an

1:20:41

exploit you with exploits you can get

1:20:43

through levels really fast

1:20:44

yeah you you certainly that's

1:20:47

what i'm asking is this like exploits are

1:20:50

actually like because i don't

1:20:51

know if i'd consider exploits

1:20:53

cheating so much but well it really

1:20:57

depends but i mean this is a

1:21:00

this is an act it's a world's

1:21:01

first race and the race begins as soon as

1:21:03

the raid like like releases

1:21:05

i guess it's true so there'd

1:21:06

be no way for you to unless you have like

1:21:08

an inside guy telling you

1:21:10

about like some exploits

1:21:11

or whatever but there'd be no way of

1:21:13

knowing that right is it

1:21:15

inside job it's inside job

1:21:17

there have been accusations of inside

1:21:19

jobs too uh from

1:21:21

previous uh raid races but oh

1:21:24

yeah and then also new accounts that

1:21:27

barely have any raid clears

1:21:29

also doing it as well that's also

1:21:31

a red flag too well look at that kill

1:21:35

death ratio you have one

1:21:37

guy with a 78 kill death ratio

1:21:40

and the rest of the team has like lesson

1:21:41

one and in a pve game like

1:21:44

destiny it's really easy to

1:21:45

get kills like regular kills yes but

1:21:49

that's the entire raid look he only got

1:21:53

two kills the entire

1:21:54

raid what the fuck that's not real that's

1:21:58

so crazy are these

1:21:59

individual or teams of three

1:22:01

well no this is this is a team this is

1:22:04

one team of six so this is

1:22:05

just one team so this is the

1:22:07

whole team okay this is the whole team

1:22:09

together so one yeah no

1:22:11

this makes sense i this this is

1:22:14

looks like my type of battles where i'm

1:22:16

carrying the whole team yeah

1:22:19

but i mean that makes sense

1:22:20

but like in destiny two you really can't

1:22:22

do that you i know you i

1:22:24

know you can't like i'm kidding

1:22:26

but it definitely makes it look like one

1:22:28

person's carrying the whole

1:22:29

team but yeah that's like dude

1:22:30

if you could if that if that were

1:22:32

actually the case in destiny two then

1:22:34

like i would like i think

1:22:35

people would do raids more because they

1:22:36

just get carried oh yeah yeah

1:22:39

well and the completion time

1:22:41

is so short it's so so far like you can

1:22:45

certainly speed run uh raids after like

1:22:50

everyone figures out

1:22:50

the like mechanics and shit and like the

1:22:54

shortcuts and like like

1:22:55

in-game exploits right you can

1:22:57

certainly do that but like for a world's

1:22:58

first like like no and

1:23:01

like normally it takes hours

1:23:02

sometimes it even takes an entire day

1:23:04

that kill death ratio is crazy too

1:23:11

uh well

1:23:18

man it's it's i will we ever get rid of

1:23:22

cheaters in video games will it happen

1:23:25

bungee's been trying to like sue some

1:23:27

cheat makers which i think

1:23:29

i don't like i don't like

1:23:31

when companies use litigation to get

1:23:33

their way but in this

1:23:34

case i'm totally fine with it

1:23:37

to be honest yeah it's it's so hard

1:23:40

because it comes down to

1:23:43

really comes down to the game makers to

1:23:45

to try to make it so that

1:23:47

you can't hack it and all but

1:23:49

if there's companies making legitimate

1:23:50

money and just that's

1:23:52

how they keep on funding

1:23:53

new ways to hack and exploit the game

1:23:55

then yeah you don't have to

1:23:58

stop it yeah that's really

1:23:59

expensive because the money yeah it's a

1:24:02

huge industry of like of

1:24:04

these guys making cheats too

1:24:06

it's not just like a guy in his basement

1:24:08

is there a market for like

1:24:10

high ranked uh destiny accounts

1:24:14

um yes there are there's there will

1:24:18

always like in an online game there will

1:24:20

always be a like black

1:24:21

market where you sell accounts yeah

1:24:23

despite it being you know

1:24:24

against terms of service

1:24:26

right yeah i mean that that's probably

1:24:28

the biggest incentive too like besides

1:24:31

the cheat makers like

1:24:33

people wanting high ranked accounts and

1:24:34

not wanting to put in the time for it

1:24:36

yes so essentially i mean every game has

1:24:41

it i mean unless it's a

1:24:43

single player game where you

1:24:44

know it's not online then you have no

1:24:47

real advantage to getting

1:24:47

good good gear then like yeah but

1:24:52

it's gonna happen with any game period um

1:24:54

yeah it gets to a point

1:24:56

where it's really hard you know

1:24:58

it's also really hard to do make this

1:25:01

year's worst game this one

1:25:05

makes me extra sad too because

1:25:07

i actually kind of liked the demo this is

1:25:10

kind of funny because you

1:25:11

were mentioning another game

1:25:13

that was supposed to be those this year's

1:25:15

worst game of the year

1:25:16

and i was like we gotta wait

1:25:18

until the end and looks like we have a

1:25:21

new contender right well

1:25:22

it was the worst game of

1:25:23

the year until this came out so so so so

1:25:27

so so so so basically hunter

1:25:29

hunter hunt the ex is silent

1:25:32

by the way hunter hunter hunter net

1:25:36

impact it's got the worst user

1:25:38

reviews of 2025 which is kind

1:25:40

of crazy to me because i mean it's not

1:25:43

last i recall it wasn't

1:25:45

super buggy when i tried the demo

1:25:46

and i kind of liked it though it was kind

1:25:49

of whack for a 2d fighter

1:25:50

to be honest but i am curious

1:25:53

as to why there's so many negative

1:25:54

reviews let's see what it says okay i

1:26:00

will just say for the

1:26:01

audio listeners it looks like this game

1:26:03

was named by microsoft

1:26:05

hunter x hunter nen x impact well

1:26:10

this very here's the thing too if you

1:26:14

type in hunter x hunter like that in

1:26:16

steam you can't find

1:26:17

the game no because they don't use like

1:26:20

an actual x they use

1:26:22

like the multiplicative sign

1:26:23

which is a different character that's

1:26:25

hilarious yeah yeah it's so

1:26:29

stupid wow the anime is pretty

1:26:31

good actually and the uh from under

1:26:33

student among it but yeah i these types

1:26:37

of games i feel like

1:26:37

are always not like the best so it's

1:26:39

shocking that this one's

1:26:40

even exceptionally worse

1:26:42

uh well i what did the steam review say i

1:26:48

know the steam reviews are uh

1:26:52

are generally a good indicator of uh so

1:26:55

at this time of writing

1:26:57

hunter hunter uh nen x impact has

1:27:00

a medic i'm sorry a metacritic user score

1:27:03

of just 1.6 this puts it below mine's eye which has a score

1:27:05

of 2.4 1.6 is impressively bad that is

1:27:13

really impressively bad hunter and i

1:27:15

doubt it's even like

1:27:18

um people just going and racing and

1:27:21

creating new accounts and

1:27:22

just trying to really uh barrage

1:27:25

this with review bombs um i it's probably

1:27:27

just like legit that's the

1:27:29

score yeah so there are a

1:27:30

couple of cited uh issues uh the net the

1:27:34

netcode is bad and for a

1:27:35

fighting game that you want to

1:27:37

play with people that's kind of killer

1:27:40

the they say the visuals are bad too

1:27:43

which i mean i sort of

1:27:43

agree with it looks very low budget which

1:27:46

is fair but they're also

1:27:48

charging 60 bucks for it

1:27:50

let's see what else they say a bad roster

1:27:52

size not enough characters

1:27:54

for a 3v3 tag team fighter

1:27:56

let's see what else we got here i don't

1:28:01

know there's there's

1:28:02

there's a lot going on with it

1:28:03

it's also the controls in my opinion were

1:28:05

kind of whacked too

1:28:06

because they're not like standard

1:28:07

fighting controls like for the most part

1:28:12

they are but specials are

1:28:13

done with a single button and

1:28:14

on like a arcade stick with eight button

1:28:16

standard buttons it gets

1:28:18

kind of awkward to press unless

1:28:19

you remap some controls too but that's just a personal uh preference thing

1:28:22

oh wait look worst games of the year

1:28:27

we've got the last of us

1:28:30

complete there's no way that one

1:28:32

feels very i don't know i've heard things

1:28:35

just wait wait is this on

1:28:38

which which system though

1:28:39

this is on the pc um well no i think

1:28:41

that's just a re-release for ps5 it you

1:28:44

know it's a remaster

1:28:45

no it's it's a compilation of the two games so i can see why people are upset about it

1:28:48

oh it's it's one of those yeah it's not

1:28:53

that the game's bad

1:28:54

it's just they're upset

1:28:55

it's the stalker legends of the zone

1:28:57

trilogy i don't know

1:29:00

much about why this is bad

1:29:01

the switch to welcome tour is pretty

1:29:05

selfish for you though

1:29:08

uh that's funny it's a tech demo you have

1:29:11

to pay for yeah and i'm surprised that's not lower

1:29:12

yeah and i was surprised that's not lower

1:29:14

i watched a video of

1:29:16

uh rerez uh playing it

1:29:19

and it's just filled with a bunch of like

1:29:21

bullshit quizzes and

1:29:23

it's not even like the

1:29:24

it's not even like the fun kind where you

1:29:26

have to do something in

1:29:27

game it's like it's like a

1:29:28

multi it's like a fucking multiple choice

1:29:31

question and you just select

1:29:33

abcd like the end of banger

1:29:36

kazooie yeah okay bring it back okay but

1:29:40

yeah like that let's see

1:29:43

sif seven wait what sif seven

1:29:46

has i think some performance issues and

1:29:49

also some other issues that yeah i'm a

1:29:53

sif fan and i haven't

1:29:54

heard some good thing i haven't heard

1:29:55

many good things about sif seven oh no

1:29:58

sin duality the echo

1:30:00

of ada i don't know anything about that

1:30:01

game uh destiny 2 the edge

1:30:05

of fate the newest dlc with

1:30:06

the newest raid with seven percent

1:30:08

cheaters i can see why it's a 4.2 and oh

1:30:12

no split gate this is

1:30:14

this is a whole other news topic we

1:30:17

haven't even covered um is

1:30:19

that they're doing mass layoffs

1:30:21

there because split gate 2 is doing

1:30:22

really bad well yeah it was

1:30:26

supposed to be the game it was

1:30:27

supposed to be the game that made fps is

1:30:29

great again um it didn't

1:30:33

i'm honestly more offended by

1:30:34

the fact that they thought that was going

1:30:36

to be the game too to be

1:30:39

honest yeah i'm not a big fan

1:30:41

of split gate i just don't like the way

1:30:43

it's designed and

1:30:43

everything i don't have a lot of

1:30:45

faith in so not too surprised like just

1:30:49

just to show this off a

1:30:50

little bit but um if i had to be

1:30:54

honest man the main reason why split gate

1:30:57

one even like popped off

1:30:58

to begin with was because

1:31:00

it was basically halo on pc but then they

1:31:03

brought halo to pc so like

1:31:06

yeah i mean it has portals

1:31:09

but they could have done so much more

1:31:11

with the portals but

1:31:13

it's a bullshit okay yeah he

1:31:18

the ceo came out during the game awards

1:31:20

wasn't it with the mega

1:31:22

inspired we watched this yeah

1:31:24

live did you remember make fps great

1:31:27

again i think we all cringed

1:31:29

simultaneously when we saw that

1:31:31

yeah it's and it's not like fps are like

1:31:35

some dying genre that like

1:31:37

no no it's them it's like

1:31:40

one of the most five other genres in the

1:31:41

world i think that's what

1:31:43

i hated about it is that

1:31:44

yeah it's i play plenty of good fps like

1:31:47

yeah but none of them are split gate too

1:31:51

exactly i hear okay i used to play games

1:31:58

some pretty bizarre games

1:31:59

like ricochet if you don't

1:32:01

if you guys don't know what ricochet is

1:32:02

it was a half-life based

1:32:06

like valve made this like almost

1:32:08

the most bizarre game in the world but

1:32:11

you shoot discs as you jump

1:32:12

around on little pads and you

1:32:14

try to get head shots and stuff like that

1:32:16

um i played stuff like

1:32:18

that enjoyed it and split

1:32:19

gauges didn't look interesting to me yeah

1:32:21

i mean split gaze

1:32:23

basically just halo but worse and

1:32:25

portals well there's no personality to it

1:32:27

all the characters looks

1:32:28

too similar it looks like tron

1:32:30

but even worse than that i don't know

1:32:31

yeah i don't think it's a

1:32:32

badly designed it's just it needed

1:32:34

more um flair to it in my opinion it

1:32:37

needed something to actually

1:32:39

distinguish maybe characters

1:32:40

or make it feel different and i just

1:32:43

don't feel like it did that also one

1:32:44

thing too no one mentions

1:32:46

this but the gun sound effects in split

1:32:48

game one are terrible like

1:32:51

they sound so weak and so like

1:32:53

pathetic and it and like i know it's a

1:32:56

weird thing to like harp

1:32:57

on but because like sound

1:33:00

effects are very important and i hate

1:33:02

when guns sound weak it

1:33:05

makes me not want to play an fps

1:33:07

okay i i agree for the most part um if

1:33:10

you're if that's your

1:33:11

core um your your core

1:33:17

aspect of the game then you better make

1:33:19

sure it's really good um but

1:33:23

there it sounds like they're

1:33:24

shutting down the original split gate in

1:33:26

the effort to revamp and

1:33:28

they're also laying off

1:33:29

the developers probably related to that

1:33:30

one um so hopefully you you

1:33:32

went over to split gate too if

1:33:33

you were at the company or else you're

1:33:35

you're gone they um yeah

1:33:38

to rebound the game after

1:33:39

launching so they are going to kill their

1:33:42

old one and then they're going to

1:33:43

continue working on the

1:33:44

new one which don't get me wrong um i

1:33:47

give uh companies credit to

1:33:49

not drop a game right away

1:33:51

and try to improve it for the people that

1:33:52

bought it and for like i

1:33:54

think there's been a few games

1:33:56

that have done that in the in um the past

1:33:58

and it's paid off for them so

1:34:00

i'll give them credit to that

1:34:02

so we'll see where they go they're

1:34:07

killing it just in time

1:34:08

for stock killing games to

1:34:11

not well they're killing it before stock

1:34:12

killing games can save

1:34:13

split gate uh one yeah yeah it

1:34:16

depends on how they're killing it they

1:34:18

may just stop development

1:34:19

they might have been developing

1:34:20

it and so from what i understand the

1:34:23

plans are still up in the air

1:34:24

about what to do they say one

1:34:26

possibility is to make it playable

1:34:27

offline but like the game

1:34:29

doesn't have split screen right

1:34:31

it doesn't even have a single player so

1:34:33

like why are you playing

1:34:34

offline just like against bots

1:34:37

they should just release the netcode just

1:34:39

or just release the code to

1:34:41

be able to run the servers or

1:34:43

make it so that you can create your own

1:34:45

lobby on your computer like

1:34:46

there's a lot of different ways

1:34:47

yeah dude this is the reason the industry

1:34:50

doesn't want to have

1:34:51

stopped killing games is because

1:34:53

they can't do devious shit like this

1:34:54

where they shut down the old

1:34:56

one to force players to go to

1:34:57

the new one the new one yeah dude you

1:34:59

know what the modded split

1:35:01

gate one would sound pretty sick

1:35:02

though they can fix the sound effects

1:35:04

they can fix the fact that you can't

1:35:06

place portals on almost

1:35:08

every one that really irks me is the fact

1:35:10

that portals it's a it's

1:35:13

a selling feature of split

1:35:15

gate right like you can see through

1:35:16

portals shoot enemies through them go

1:35:17

through them etc etc and

1:35:19

it's got like portal style uh momentum

1:35:21

too but here's the thing

1:35:23

though it's very limited in

1:35:25

where you can place them and like portal

1:35:28

one has places like portal has places

1:35:30

where you can't like

1:35:31

put portals right but most of the

1:35:34

environments except for certain like

1:35:35

chambers tend to be like

1:35:37

littered in like white surfaces right

1:35:38

yeah yeah split gates has

1:35:41

split gate has the opposite uh

1:35:43

there are specific like areas that are

1:35:45

designated for portals which

1:35:48

is bullshit they should just

1:35:50

make it so that you can put portals in

1:35:51

most like almost every

1:35:52

surface yeah they definitely could

1:35:56

make it more abundant but in certain

1:35:58

surfaces and stuff it'd be definitely

1:35:59

tricky i feel like um i

1:36:02

mean i could understand it if not working

1:36:03

on like on like ramps like

1:36:07

sloped ramps and all that stuff

1:36:08

i get or like or like rocks i could see

1:36:11

it i could see the night doing

1:36:12

rocks but like rocks would be

1:36:13

weird because then they'd have to

1:36:15

calculate trajectories of

1:36:17

very bent space time kind of

1:36:20

stuff or not space time but like space

1:36:21

it's weird right i i

1:36:24

understand that but like most like

1:36:27

buildings there were a lot of there were

1:36:29

a lot of maps with a lot

1:36:30

of like buildings and stuff

1:36:31

and most of the areas you couldn't like

1:36:33

portal onto which is

1:36:36

ridiculous i love the statement

1:36:38

ceo says he's made many many mistakes and

1:36:40

it's like and i'm sorry i

1:36:42

have to lay all you guys off

1:36:43

but you know i'll still be here he's a

1:36:46

true ceo man just man see

1:36:51

the v show joe ceo couldn't do

1:36:54

this because imagine if like imagine if

1:36:58

like everyone left uh

1:36:59

1047 just like v show joe and

1:37:01

they just made their own studio but

1:37:03

without that ceo that'd be

1:37:04

awesome the so here's the problem

1:37:07

um viewtubers and people like that they

1:37:09

have channels and stuff

1:37:11

that they can continue making

1:37:12

money so if they cut ties they can get

1:37:15

that pumped into their

1:37:16

bank account and it's at least

1:37:18

something game developers don't have that

1:37:21

they cut ties they're out of a job if

1:37:25

they don't have money

1:37:25

if they get laid off at least they have

1:37:27

severance and a lot of

1:37:28

big companies do give decent

1:37:29

severances but and so that's why i think

1:37:32

some game companies have been able to

1:37:33

like indies have been

1:37:34

able to come up is because they had

1:37:36

enough severance to try to make an indie

1:37:37

but just leave it then

1:37:40

yeah that's i guess how they're gonna

1:37:42

keep you in the system i understand i

1:37:45

don't i'm not sure what

1:37:45

to make of it now i'm uh 1047 games

1:37:49

really screwed the pitch

1:37:50

when it comes to splitgate

1:37:52

i uh i just looked up the concurrent

1:37:55

users for splitgate

1:37:57

current their 24-hour peak is 155

1:38:00

users and their average players over the

1:38:03

last like six to over the

1:38:05

last year has not exceeded 300

1:38:10

players well that's of splitgate 2 of

1:38:13

splitgate the first one and

1:38:16

but if you look at splitgate 2

1:38:18

oh no it's gonna be worse isn't it

1:38:20

splitgate 2 has a over the

1:38:23

last 24 hours they have 1400

1:38:25

concurrent players oh that's not good and

1:38:29

they in june in june they had 13 000

1:38:32

so not very good that's really really bad

1:38:38

in fact that's that's so

1:38:40

bad i don't know if they're

1:38:41

going to be coming back but we'll see

1:38:42

yeah dude forget man forget

1:38:46

splitgate one and two i doubt

1:38:48

the company is going to survive at this

1:38:49

rate yeah no i don't i don't know if i

1:38:54

was them i would have

1:38:54

created a whole new uh game ip what about

1:38:58

sometimes what about something inspired

1:39:00

by halo but like not

1:39:02

but it's not it's inspired by it but it's

1:39:05

not even like i don't

1:39:06

know i don't like portals

1:39:09

i don't know it doesn't look unique

1:39:12

enough it really it really

1:39:14

doesn't feel like it has its own

1:39:18

it's not genre defying yet and so maybe

1:39:21

they could have worked

1:39:21

on the first one and then

1:39:23

created their own ip and then morphed the

1:39:26

first one into something more but

1:39:27

i think the first thing that really like

1:39:32

turned people off was

1:39:33

splitgate 2 when i was first in that

1:39:34

because i remember splitgate 1 was fairly

1:39:36

popular uh sort of yeah but

1:39:38

splitgate 2 i think what turned

1:39:39

people off the second one was that they

1:39:42

announced that they were

1:39:43

getting like classes in classes

1:39:46

in the halo like it was just a bad idea

1:39:49

period in my opinion that's why you

1:39:52

change just change the ip

1:39:54

it could be like it's not gonna be

1:39:55

splitgate 2 we're just

1:39:56

gonna call it something else

1:39:58

and then you can have classes and you're

1:39:59

not gonna get people upset

1:40:01

team let's see team splitgate 2

1:40:05

man they could just make it like team

1:40:08

fortress i don't know man but

1:40:11

um i don't know how you could

1:40:13

have say i don't know how you could have

1:40:15

saved uh splitgate to be

1:40:16

honest there are too many

1:40:17

games out there nowadays and a lot of

1:40:19

people are just sticking to

1:40:20

one game but but a game that's

1:40:23

like already well established right

1:40:25

that's why that's why

1:40:27

splitgate probably should have just

1:40:28

kept on doing updates for splitgate and

1:40:31

not like 1047 should

1:40:33

have been doing updates for

1:40:34

splitgate that is not do a second one and

1:40:35

do a um a different ip to

1:40:39

try to continue you know the

1:40:41

company i don't think it was smart to do

1:40:43

a splitgate 2 i just it feels

1:40:45

too similar and there was like

1:40:47

why at that point um money yeah speaking

1:40:52

of money microsoft is

1:40:53

saying we want more of it

1:40:55

by selling things for cheaper um so this

1:41:01

is a really interesting

1:41:03

story actually and i'm hoping

1:41:04

it's indicative of how we're going to be

1:41:05

going from here on out

1:41:06

with some of these titles but

1:41:07

we'll see you never know microsoft backs

1:41:10

away from 80 games that's what that's

1:41:13

what this title says

1:41:14

and drops the outer world 2 prize to 70

1:41:17

in line with current market

1:41:18

conditions now um outer world

1:41:23

2 doesn't have the best like one of the

1:41:26

speculations on all this is

1:41:27

that it does not have the best

1:41:30

pre-order stat stats right now it just

1:41:33

doesn't have the best

1:41:34

numbers and so that's why

1:41:36

they're backing down which makes sense

1:41:38

okay that's but there's

1:41:41

also another thing it's

1:41:42

gonna be day one game pass so you're

1:41:45

gonna have drastically lower

1:41:47

reservations so these companies

1:41:50

need to really gotta take that into

1:41:53

account i feel like microsoft shoots them

1:41:55

themselves in the foot

1:41:56

every time dude this is performing so bad

1:41:59

why is it it couldn't be us

1:42:00

it's gotta be the developers

1:42:02

or the price or something it's gotta be

1:42:04

something else it can't be us yeah

1:42:06

microsoft cites the price

1:42:09

drop because like they cite the current

1:42:12

market conditions for the

1:42:13

price drop guess who made the

1:42:15

current market so hostile to buying games

1:42:19

at full price game pass

1:42:21

microsoft did man man when you

1:42:25

guys say something this we're gonna get

1:42:26

some more comments accusing us of like

1:42:29

anti xbox bias which

1:42:31

is by the way totally true that's bt

1:42:33

maryk he likes them he i

1:42:34

talked to him the other day

1:42:36

he likes the mess with us so i know i

1:42:39

know so i don't think anyone

1:42:41

actually i don't i don't think

1:42:43

anybody that actually disliked our take

1:42:44

on microsoft would keep watching us yeah

1:42:47

no i yeah so this is

1:42:50

a fun little quote from them from

1:42:52

obsidian we at the earth directorate have

1:42:55

worked with redacted

1:42:56

to revise the price of outer worlds too

1:42:58

so it if you've never played

1:43:01

outer worlds one which i don't

1:43:02

think either of you guys have played

1:43:04

right i've played the outer

1:43:05

world one i did not care for it

1:43:07

at all i i have not i loved outer worlds

1:43:11

one it was it was great i love it but i

1:43:14

also like obsidian's

1:43:15

um fallout new vegas a lot so and i like

1:43:19

the take they go a little too

1:43:21

it's too hamper so it's just

1:43:23

a little too on the point with it being

1:43:27

an anti-capitalistic

1:43:28

kind of game because that's

1:43:29

really because it's an over it's a

1:43:31

capitalistic dystopia

1:43:32

essentially is what this is is what

1:43:34

outer world's one is everything is based

1:43:36

on capitalism buying

1:43:38

money it is pure greed and

1:43:41

they like to make fun of it it's it's fun

1:43:43

but they go a little like too far

1:43:45

sometimes where i'm like

1:43:46

okay this isn't as funny as i was hoping

1:43:47

you get it to have some

1:43:48

veiled uh humor um but this is

1:43:51

still a fun you know we with the earth

1:43:54

director you know kind of thing we've

1:43:56

revised the price for

1:43:57

it's just a fun take on this um and i can

1:44:00

guarantee obsidian probably

1:44:02

did not want to have this be $80

1:44:04

they probably wanted to be cheaper it was

1:44:06

probably microsoft that's

1:44:07

like all the games have to be

1:44:09

really expensive because you know

1:44:11

nintendo that's what's gonna sell

1:44:13

nintendo did it why can't we do

1:44:15

it right nintendo has control over their

1:44:19

whole platform and

1:44:20

market so they can do it and

1:44:23

guess what they're gonna probably still

1:44:24

lose themselves from it

1:44:25

uh with outer worlds though

1:44:28

outer worlds one is a very cult classic

1:44:30

it's a very specific to a

1:44:32

set of like dead space in some

1:44:35

ways it has its following and you can

1:44:38

make a lot of money off of

1:44:39

this following but if you try to

1:44:42

play it up more than it is you're not

1:44:44

going to make that money back so them

1:44:46

saying yeah this is an

1:44:47

$80 game is kind of ridiculous outer

1:44:49

worlds one itself was

1:44:51

probably a $50 i would consider it

1:44:52

more of a $50 game like a $49.99 kind of

1:44:55

thing and uh outer worlds two

1:44:57

is probably really not worth

1:44:59

70 it's probably worth more like 60 or 50

1:45:01

um but i haven't played it

1:45:02

yet um it's just basing it off

1:45:05

outer worlds one so hopefully this is

1:45:10

indicative of us not having

1:45:12

$80 games but staying at 60 for

1:45:15

a while um i think this is also gonna be

1:45:20

the split between indie

1:45:23

double a and triple a i think

1:45:25

triple a is going to be coming or maybe

1:45:28

even quadruple a are just

1:45:29

going to start going like

1:45:30

for 80 maybe 100 like grand theft auto we

1:45:33

can start seeing companies

1:45:34

trying to get away because

1:45:35

if they own the market for like call of

1:45:37

duty or grand theft auto

1:45:39

they can charge whatever they

1:45:40

want and their fan base if it's big

1:45:42

enough we'll pay for it and they could

1:45:43

probably make more money

1:45:44

so we're probably gonna see some trickery

1:45:46

from game companies going

1:45:48

forward but hopefully this

1:45:50

teaches microsoft a little bit of lesson

1:45:52

and we don't have that huge price

1:45:54

increase for a lot of

1:45:56

their games so i don't know what do you

1:46:01

get what do you guys think

1:46:04

of this whole uh ordeal do you

1:46:06

think we're gonna get some of these

1:46:08

companies backing off more

1:46:09

or we'll just have to see i

1:46:12

think we'll see i mean the temptation for

1:46:14

these companies is just pure

1:46:17

greed and they want as much

1:46:19

money as they possibly can and most of

1:46:21

them don't think critically enough to

1:46:24

realize they might sell

1:46:25

more and make more at a lower price point

1:46:29

yep i don't know man the

1:46:30

outer wilds two seems like a

1:46:32

maybe buy it later on sale sort of game

1:46:35

for me yeah i'm offended by that but okay

1:46:39

no it is definitely one of those games

1:46:42

outer worlds too i that's

1:46:44

my point is that it's very

1:46:46

it has its following and it's not like a

1:46:50

call of duty following but

1:46:51

you can make lots of money off

1:46:52

this title if you play it right just

1:46:54

don't fuck your uh the player

1:46:57

is over is kind of one of the

1:46:58

things you know make it reasonable

1:47:00

because even for like someone like me i'm

1:47:02

not gonna pay $80 for

1:47:03

this i'm gonna wait for it well i might

1:47:05

go find it on a different

1:47:06

platform like um fanatical or

1:47:08

something like that because like

1:47:10

especially when they're this

1:47:11

high a price they usually are

1:47:12

discounted there but or i'll wait for a

1:47:15

price decrease because i

1:47:17

just i it'd have to be a

1:47:19

star craft even though as much as i like

1:47:21

outer worlds one it has to

1:47:22

be like a star craft kind

1:47:23

of game for me to you pay whatever price

1:47:27

there's only a couple of

1:47:28

different games out there that

1:47:29

i'd pay a hundred two hundred dollars for

1:47:31

and this is not it would

1:47:35

you pay a hundred two dollars

1:47:35

for gta6 no but gta6 is not my type of

1:47:40

game that being said for the

1:47:42

graphical part of it i might

1:47:44

because i do like to analyze graphics so

1:47:47

i don't know maybe for

1:47:48

benchmarking i might but that'd be

1:47:49

a more of a business kind of thing so

1:47:53

we'll see we'll see um i just i don't

1:48:02

know like inflation's

1:48:03

a thing but we also have more players

1:48:06

than ever that are uh like

1:48:09

more gamers than ever that are

1:48:11

buying stuff and so we don't really need

1:48:14

to raise the price on things

1:48:15

they're already making more

1:48:16

money they just want to do it out of you

1:48:20

know pure greed and i think

1:48:22

at the end of the day too is

1:48:23

the cost of living has gone up

1:48:24

drastically for a lot of uh gamers like

1:48:28

lower class uh i shouldn't

1:48:29

say lower class but like uh lower income

1:48:31

that's it lower income middle

1:48:34

income kind of uh gamers are

1:48:37

really feeling a tight budget and so if

1:48:41

you're raising this also

1:48:42

like their entertainment to

1:48:43

eighty dollars they're gonna go for well

1:48:45

and it's a competitive

1:48:46

market they're gonna go for indies

1:48:47

and double a titles like a lot of like me

1:48:51

i'm not gonna go for the

1:48:52

eighty dollars if i if i have

1:48:54

eighty dollars i'm gonna probably end up

1:48:56

buying one or two indy or

1:48:58

double a because i'm gonna

1:48:59

find them and i'm gonna enjoy them

1:49:01

there's plenty out

1:49:02

there that i like so yeah

1:49:07

i'll get off my soapbox on that but yeah

1:49:09

it's i i do like their marketing though

1:49:12

obsidian coming out it's like doing the

1:49:15

little whistle it's like

1:49:16

you didn't see anything it's

1:49:16

now 70 yeah i like that it's facing yeah

1:49:22

and that's it's

1:49:23

definitely obsidian the i like them

1:49:25

as a studio and i really hope that outer

1:49:27

world 2 does well and that microsoft

1:49:29

didn't fuck them over

1:49:30

even having it be 70 i'm i'm just worried

1:49:34

that regardless of

1:49:35

what's gonna of how it sells

1:49:37

microsoft microsoft might uh i don't know

1:49:41

might lay them off i mean

1:49:42

that's been the trend right i

1:49:43

mean i guess it doesn't really matter if

1:49:45

you make a good or bad game

1:49:46

if you don't make a what uh it

1:49:51

depends on how much you make it's your

1:49:53

value is all based on like

1:49:55

what they budgeted for you

1:49:57

and some of the stuff that's outside of

1:49:58

what your budget is like

1:49:59

marketing and then if you don't

1:50:01

reach to what they want you to even

1:50:03

though they might have been super

1:50:04

profitable they'll destroy

1:50:05

you i microsoft might be different than

1:50:08

ea but you know that's what

1:50:11

ea did to my favorite stuff so

1:50:14

well speaking of um have you guys seen

1:50:18

the new leak uh like

1:50:21

Lenovo Legion go to like there's some new

1:50:23

leaked stuff no i have not seen that

1:50:29

so better grips OLED screen and more

1:50:33

memory uh which we already

1:50:35

kind of knew but there's even

1:50:36

more to it uh if you want to like oh

1:50:39

they're playing genshin in

1:50:40

the leak okay first off this

1:50:43

is a this is a Chinese guy so they're

1:50:47

Chinese you can't blame them i thought

1:50:49

that would have picked

1:50:50

like a more graphically demanding game

1:50:51

like uh like uh shit uh

1:50:56

cyberpond so from my understanding

1:50:58

i didn't realize this and we'll see but

1:51:00

this uh more leaked specs

1:51:02

indicate that this is going to be

1:51:04

a z2 processor not a z2 extreme i mean

1:51:10

which is interesting but then i saw

1:51:12

benchmarks that showed

1:51:13

the difference between z1 extreme and z2

1:51:16

extreme and they were only

1:51:17

like some of the games are only

1:51:18

like five fps different so i don't know

1:51:22

if the z2 extreme is going to

1:51:23

be actually be that decent of a

1:51:26

upgrade but i am curious about uh the z2

1:51:31

standard because at last we

1:51:33

recall um if you remember the

1:51:35

original rog ally released with a z1 skew

1:51:37

and it was generally agreed

1:51:39

that the z1 was not worth the

1:51:41

one it wasn't worth the money yeah

1:51:44

exactly but if the z2 is

1:51:47

more power efficient and is as

1:51:49

performing as a z1 extreme then that

1:51:51

might be the best of both worlds

1:51:54

potentially huh maybe oh

1:51:57

but they were there might or

1:51:59

they maybe they'll release uh

1:52:02

yeah no this this one is just a z2 not

1:52:04

the z2 extreme yeah and

1:52:06

so what what's on the other

1:52:09

specs though that's what i want to figure

1:52:10

out because i need see

1:52:12

if they have a double list

1:52:13

i thought they had the list no maybe not

1:52:18

it's the list is in the video but i

1:52:20

thought they also had the

1:52:23

yeah i mean it looks like a straight

1:52:25

upgrade it's got oled

1:52:26

and variable refresh rate

1:52:29

yes it does it's got vr it's got oled

1:52:31

it's 144 hertz still it is

1:52:34

the controller and everything is

1:52:37

um much better it's it's uh backwards

1:52:40

compatible with the original

1:52:40

so if you buy the controllers

1:52:42

on their own they will work on the

1:52:43

previous version which i

1:52:44

will give lenovo credit there

1:52:46

i like backwards compatibility as much as

1:52:48

you can keep it um so yeah

1:52:52

it's looking good it does look

1:52:54

good but i am a little worried about the

1:52:57

z2 because i want to buy

1:53:00

this for my um day-to-day

1:53:02

driver and use an egpu with it but

1:53:04

because i want a bigger

1:53:05

screen if that z2 extreme or the z2

1:53:09

processor does not have the same like if

1:53:13

it truly is like um not

1:53:17

a little bit better or

1:53:19

let's say about the same as z1 extreme

1:53:22

then cool if it if z2 extreme

1:53:25

could have been much better i

1:53:26

would i'm not gonna be happy because i'm

1:53:28

gonna want every core

1:53:29

possible because i'm gonna be

1:53:30

like i said using the egpu with this

1:53:32

thing i'm gonna really try

1:53:34

to push this um beyond being

1:53:37

portable is the z2 extreme not based on

1:53:40

the uh strix halo

1:53:41

processors that have been like making

1:53:43

headways like that's my question too

1:53:47

because i thought maybe that

1:53:48

was based on that and like if

1:53:49

you look at the uh the rog strix not rg6

1:53:53

sorry the uh amd like strix halo like

1:53:55

devices like with this

1:53:57

z13 flow or even gardener's like a mini

1:54:00

pc he has a device uh with

1:54:02

the strix with the strix halo

1:54:04

right that's substantially better than

1:54:06

like the z1 and like the prior like apu

1:54:10

that that's based on

1:54:13

yeah uh i don't know what do you think

1:54:17

gardener on that i i mean

1:54:19

yeah i i don't know when it comes

1:54:22

to this device but i like the strix halo

1:54:24

definitely has uh like significant

1:54:28

improvements over like a

1:54:29

built-in apu um yeah yeah and not to

1:54:35

mention uh you know the fox actually did

1:54:36

a video on the gpd1 5

1:54:39

which has the uh strix halo apu in it

1:54:43

this will have the 780m series though

1:54:48

graphics so wait what does what does what

1:54:50

does strix halo have strix halo gpu

1:54:55

yeah i'm not i'm truthfully not much of a

1:54:59

hardware guy like i

1:55:00

don't i'm not knowledgeable

1:55:01

about this stuff so i keep up to date on

1:55:04

certain things but yeah

1:55:06

i'm i mean if this is to be

1:55:10

believed the seven the same adm i believe

1:55:13

was on the z1 extreme to

1:55:14

begin with yeah that's what i

1:55:16

was wondering it was on the extreme so it

1:55:18

should be the same

1:55:19

graphical it's just the processor is

1:55:21

yeah yeah which is interesting because

1:55:23

they're the 880 series is

1:55:26

what supposed should it should

1:55:27

be i feel like but this is a prototype so

1:55:31

this could this might not

1:55:34

be indicative of what we're

1:55:35

going to get at the end of the day i mean

1:55:38

that is valid that's valid

1:55:39

not to mention not to mention

1:55:40

the actual device itself i believe um is

1:55:44

running the z2 right just regular z2

1:55:46

right not the z2 extreme

1:55:49

yeah yeah exactly so well that's so it

1:55:54

sounds like z2 is going to be

1:55:57

a 780m uh gpu or um corset on

1:56:01

there so all right so the uh that'll be

1:56:04

interesting though so let's look at the

1:56:07

specs for the gpd1 5

1:56:09

i've got i pulled up the spec sheet right

1:56:11

here uh see what we got

1:56:13

here see there's the rise in ai

1:56:17

rise in ai come on man is amd rise in ai

1:56:20

max plus 395 and the rise in

1:56:24

and the amd rise in ai max 385

1:56:26

those are the two skews um architecture

1:56:31

is on five strikes halo

1:56:32

uh where's the gpu section

1:56:37

okay so the so the strix halo devices

1:56:40

come with the amd

1:56:42

radion 80 8000 series series

1:56:46

so one of them comes with a 80 50 s and

1:56:49

the other comes with an 80

1:56:50

60 s so it's different uh

1:56:53

oh look can you go can you go back to the

1:56:54

graphics uh section of that video

1:56:58

yeah i just these naming conventions man

1:57:01

yeah i hate it i hate it so much

1:57:06

some of the smartest people in the world

1:57:07

they can't come up with a

1:57:08

good name or that or the

1:57:09

fuck the marketing guys all right fuck

1:57:11

them all right then i said it

1:57:13

calm down calm down all right 780 m uh

1:57:20

specs i need to see how

1:57:22

many uh so according to

1:57:25

this website right here the 780 m

1:57:28

generally comes with 768 shader cores

1:57:33

whereas this new one comes

1:57:35

with uh 2000 that's that's a lot that's

1:57:42

almost like double the

1:57:42

amount of wait hold on see

1:57:44

hold on so this is like triple the 780 m

1:57:47

has 12 cus uh compute units

1:57:50

let's see the radion 80 50

1:57:52

s the lower end version of the uh gpd win

1:57:55

uh mini 2 comes 32 cus so

1:57:59

that's like over double the

1:58:00

amount of uh compute units and the higher

1:58:03

end one has 40 compute

1:58:04

units too so dude i just don't

1:58:10

quite understand why we're making the

1:58:14

same machines over and over again like

1:58:16

same like this i mean i

1:58:19

don't remember exactly what i had i don't

1:58:21

have the memory for

1:58:22

these kind of things but like

1:58:24

the legion go s that i have had either

1:58:29

the z1 or the z the z1

1:58:31

extreme or the z2 i don't remember i

1:58:33

think it was the z1 extreme i thought i

1:58:35

had a z2 go didn't it or it

1:58:37

comes with there there's a

1:58:38

different skew it comes with either

1:58:39

depending on who you are but like this

1:58:43

this freaking mini pc here

1:58:46

this has the z2 extreme in it right or

1:58:49

the z2 in it and then the

1:58:51

other mini yeah and then the other

1:58:53

mini pc that i have like i've got like

1:58:55

four or five mini pcs with

1:58:57

uh either the z2 or like the

1:59:01

ryzen ai nine blah blah blah blah blah

1:59:04

blah it's just like why are

1:59:05

we building the same computers

1:59:06

over and over again i just don't

1:59:07

understand it if they're a different

1:59:09

company that try to compete

1:59:11

and have maybe a couple of different

1:59:12

things different i

1:59:13

understand but if it's the same

1:59:15

company like inio um why do you keep on

1:59:20

doing the same specs i mean

1:59:22

they do have different types

1:59:23

of hardware now at least at least they're

1:59:25

doing that because

1:59:26

therefore while they were not doing

1:59:27

that but it's it's just crazy like i

1:59:32

would it's just like i

1:59:34

would think that the legion go 2

1:59:36

would have the ai pro in it right or are

1:59:40

these the old the old specs for the

1:59:42

previous device no this

1:59:45

is not the old specs because the z2

1:59:47

wasn't available for the

1:59:49

legion go one these are

1:59:50

prototype so we got to take these a

1:59:53

little bit with a grain of

1:59:53

salt because uh it could be

1:59:56

different they could maybe have just been

1:59:57

prototyping the the

1:59:59

hardware um the controllers

2:00:02

or stuff who knows who knows what they

2:00:03

were doing but i guess there

2:00:05

is also the spec sheet here but

2:00:06

once again things can be faked it's super

2:00:11

bizarre to have a z2

2:00:13

processor not have a z2 extreme

2:00:15

option for your flagship device so if

2:00:17

they don't have z2 extreme i'm really

2:00:21

shocked well i'm shocked

2:00:23

the z2 extreme is some it is seemingly

2:00:26

weaker than you know the uh the strix

2:00:29

halo devices yeah like

2:00:31

gbd is starting to put those in the strix

2:00:34

halos and like their newest

2:00:35

devices too i got to watch

2:00:37

what is the power consumption though on

2:00:38

those they could be

2:00:40

doing this more also for bad

2:00:41

because the legion go one was abysmal for

2:00:44

power i agree yeah i agree

2:00:46

though the fox has said that

2:00:47

uh strix halos is actually pretty good on

2:00:50

it's very power efficient

2:00:51

too if you can figure it

2:00:53

down that way of course he's the fox so

2:00:55

he knows uh he knows a lot more about

2:00:57

doing all that stuff

2:00:59

than i do for sure yeah okay yeah i'm

2:01:06

hoping that because i do want

2:01:08

a device like this that's 32

2:01:09

gigabytes of ram i want i just i want the

2:01:13

best when i go to buy this

2:01:14

that i can so i can run it

2:01:17

for a while well i mean aside from the z2

2:01:22

being well actually wait

2:01:25

it's a z2 processor wait this

2:01:27

doesn't even say z2 extreme i must be

2:01:29

that's what i've been saying it does not

2:01:31

say the other one on

2:01:32

the right is the um is the uh the smaller

2:01:38

devices is the what are the

2:01:41

ones you guys have yeah yeah

2:01:44

man uh i do hear that the z2 extreme is a

2:01:51

generation leap at lower wattages

2:01:53

but which i'd potentially even take that

2:01:59

i do want the extra yeah

2:02:02

yeah i do want extra cores

2:02:05

though because i might use it for with an

2:02:09

e gpu for some game

2:02:10

development but we'll see we'll see

2:02:14

yes because i want to use i want to do

2:02:16

some content with it's

2:02:17

gonna be fun but this has

2:02:19

definitely got me a little worried like

2:02:23

looks like i'm getting the

2:02:24

xbox ally x 360 ai handheld

2:02:31

hold on now what about the battery they

2:02:33

does the spec sheet have a

2:02:35

battery like no but they've i

2:02:37

think they've already leaked the battery

2:02:39

it's like a 60 is it a 65

2:02:43

or 75 i think it's like a 60

2:02:46

it's between 65 and 75 watts i'd have to

2:02:49

look it up it probably

2:02:50

has it in here somewhere

2:02:59

74 watts battery for sale so it's much

2:03:03

bigger than the

2:03:04

original actually quite a bit

2:03:07

so if it so if the battery blows up it'll

2:03:09

burn your house down

2:03:10

um you know what i have fire insurance so

2:03:15

yeah as long as loki

2:03:18

makes it out we're good

2:03:21

i don't need a little fire corgi ball um

2:03:28

yeah

2:03:32

i'm pretty sure the second column is the

2:03:35

um yeah the legion go s

2:03:37

honestly man honestly man i'm just

2:03:42

waiting for the steam

2:03:43

deck two to come out man

2:03:45

yeah i think for the average person i

2:03:47

definitely uh do recommend

2:03:49

that any one that i talk to i'm

2:03:51

like if you're really wanting a true

2:03:53

upgrade and you're like you're more

2:03:55

casual just stick with the

2:03:56

steam deck for now um but i'm trying to i

2:04:01

want i kind of want

2:04:01

content and i also want to just

2:04:03

simplify my life and i want any gpu steam

2:04:05

deck two needs to have

2:04:06

any gpu like compatibility

2:04:08

because i really want to play around with

2:04:10

that it's making it less

2:04:12

fun to not have that option

2:04:14

please valve give us give us something

2:04:17

man i did the steam deck

2:04:19

community has been in an uproar

2:04:20

because i mean like what more can you do

2:04:23

with the steam deck really

2:04:24

the most you can do at this

2:04:26

point is like try to run a game that

2:04:29

doesn't run very well in

2:04:30

the steam deck kind of like uh

2:04:31

what's the word i'm like

2:04:32

what's the one i'm looking for um

2:04:36

any modern triple-a game that comes out

2:04:38

these days doesn't really

2:04:39

run that well in steam deck

2:04:40

for the most part right it depends on

2:04:43

what it is but yeah yeah split fiction

2:04:45

runs really good on it

2:04:47

i don't know about triple-a but fair

2:04:49

enough okay i'm offended by

2:04:53

that but uh no you're you're

2:04:56

i mean i'd put it on the

2:04:57

realms of like double-a but um

2:05:01

it has decent graphics and it's just i

2:05:04

think they optimized it

2:05:05

also yeah they optimized it

2:05:09

well enough to run on the steam deck so

2:05:11

fair enough fair enough i

2:05:14

think a lot of games could

2:05:15

be done that way but we're not you know

2:05:18

holding these game companies

2:05:19

to do that uh you know they

2:05:21

do have an interesting battery layout

2:05:22

it's like a u-shape battery uh is it oh

2:05:26

yeah it is a u-shape

2:05:27

i thought i was a dual like they had two

2:05:28

different ones but or maybe

2:05:30

it is i don't know i couldn't

2:05:31

really tell from that video uh no i think

2:05:33

you're right i think it was

2:05:34

you i just because it has a

2:05:37

connector at the bottom yeah it probably

2:05:38

doesn't have it it probably

2:05:39

doesn't have any like battery

2:05:41

in the the bottom part it just keeps it

2:05:43

as one unit yeah that's

2:05:45

valid it's a bigger fan than

2:05:47

the original one um i've taken a part of

2:05:51

the original one there was

2:05:51

definitely plenty of room

2:05:53

to upgrade so i'm glad that you use that

2:05:55

extra room to add this

2:05:57

battery in because if that was

2:06:00

what like if you're gonna have an 8.8

2:06:01

inch screen you better have a bigger

2:06:03

battery honestly man i

2:06:05

thought i'd use the mouse moon worm my

2:06:07

lesion go uh because you

2:06:09

know it was such a cool thing to

2:06:10

have once but like it's not that usable

2:06:14

um because of how bad Lenovo's like

2:06:18

control configurator is

2:06:21

now if they like now if they like combine

2:06:24

that with steam input i bet

2:06:26

you'd be a lot better right

2:06:29

yeah i agree i definitely think there's a

2:06:32

lot of things that they can

2:06:33

improve um software is the

2:06:34

worst part definitely about the legion go

2:06:36

i had to return it it

2:06:38

was the software was so bad

2:06:40

i had to return my legion go i just

2:06:41

couldn't use it it was

2:06:43

bothering me too much

2:06:46

where i returned my ally that's the thing

2:06:49

i liked my ally i kept my

2:06:51

ally and so i was using my ally

2:06:52

for months and then i got this the legion

2:06:54

go partially you do

2:06:55

content too but also because

2:06:58

i just wanted a bigger screen and i'm

2:06:59

like nope i want the bigger

2:07:01

screen but i can't stand this

2:07:04

but now that they're coming out with a

2:07:07

new one i've heard that they're have

2:07:08

upgraded their software

2:07:09

quite a bit and steam os i could put

2:07:12

steam well on there and there's going to

2:07:13

be additional windows

2:07:14

options um i it looks much bright like

2:07:18

like there's going to be a lot more um

2:07:21

more things you can do

2:07:23

with legion go too so i'm hoping

2:07:27

everything's fixed we'll see hmm but if

2:07:32

another i mean maybe

2:07:34

whatever it is i i just want an eight

2:07:36

inch plus device it's all i

2:07:39

really care about i'm a size

2:07:41

queen or keen right now with with my

2:07:43

displays so sticking with

2:07:46

the nsfw kind of tag of this

2:07:48

episode i yeah size matters for me right

2:07:51

now so wow okay so uh with

2:07:59

that being said i think we've

2:08:01

pretty much run the gamut on our whole

2:08:03

topic list and we've even

2:08:04

covered a couple of things

2:08:05

that were not on the list um with that

2:08:09

being said anything else we

2:08:10

need to cover before we uh

2:08:12

mosey on out let's see what reddit has to

2:08:15

say oh my gosh this is

2:08:17

where patreon should be it's

2:08:18

like okay now it's time for the searching

2:08:21

let's see clear script

2:08:24

developers visit square enix's

2:08:26

office for a quote rich exchange quote of

2:08:29

ideas sony wants to expand

2:08:32

uh playstation studios games

2:08:35

beyond playstation hardware hiring to

2:08:37

partner with xbox steam

2:08:38

nintendo switch and more

2:08:41

oh this could this this might be

2:08:42

interesting says here microsoft let the

2:08:46

yada yada yada yada yeah

2:08:48

look they're hiring for senior director

2:08:50

multi-platform and account management

2:08:52

why playstation okay overview reporting

2:08:55

to the vp commercial

2:08:57

management as senior director

2:08:58

multi-platform and account manager you

2:09:00

will play a critical leadership role in

2:09:03

shaping and executing

2:09:04

the global commercial strategy for

2:09:06

playstation studios

2:09:08

software titles across all digital

2:09:11

platforms beyond playstation hardware

2:09:13

including steam epic game

2:09:15

store xbox nintendo and mobile

2:09:19

this role is accountable for optimizing

2:09:21

title profitability ensuring

2:09:23

cross-functional alignment

2:09:25

and leading a high performing team

2:09:28

focused on multi-platform extension

2:09:30

mid-range commercial

2:09:32

planning and platform partner management

2:09:36

so who wants to be the

2:09:40

senior director to kill

2:09:42

console exclusives

2:09:44

oh

2:09:47

i think they're died a long time ago well

2:09:52

i mean they could be a

2:09:53

little more dead if you asked me

2:09:54

but they could be completed they can be

2:09:57

completely dead they could be

2:09:59

we could be having god of war

2:10:01

the new god of war day one on xbox that's

2:10:04

how dead it should be i

2:10:06

got your joke james i know

2:10:08

it was a stupid joke because i didn't

2:10:09

quite fit but they could

2:10:11

complete its career of being

2:10:12

non-exclusive yeah it's yeah i mean it'll

2:10:22

be interesting to see

2:10:23

what the future holds because

2:10:25

at the end of the day i'll probably own

2:10:28

every platform that i

2:10:31

want to play games on like

2:10:33

a sony device pc well do i'm doing pretty

2:10:37

good these days well you

2:10:39

could own everything on pc

2:10:43

actually that's true except for um it has

2:10:46

been kind of nice for

2:10:46

the kids to not have to to

2:10:48

tinker around with the pc to get it

2:10:49

started to play stuff like ash robot

2:10:51

because they come to

2:10:52

me if something doesn't work with like vr

2:10:54

one of my kids likes to play

2:10:56

vr a lot and so i have to get

2:10:58

up and help them all the time and so it's

2:11:01

nice that they can just

2:11:02

have the easy ui with the

2:11:03

playstation well hopefully steamo wass

2:11:06

will be even i mean steamo i

2:11:07

think steamo has like bridged

2:11:08

that gap quite a bit i know there are

2:11:10

still some like i agree yeah

2:11:12

like steamo they could have

2:11:16

asked your butt if you applied for this

2:11:18

job true or if gardener

2:11:22

applied for this job he could make

2:11:25

uh he could make playstation release all

2:11:28

the games yeah i go on dude it look

2:11:36

like i've a lot i could say about this

2:11:40

but like i'm not

2:11:42

opposed to console exclusives

2:11:44

i know people get pissed at me for saying

2:11:46

that i don't i don't give

2:11:48

a shit like if a company

2:11:49

wants to do it that's more power to them

2:11:50

i don't care yeah i mean i'm

2:11:55

a little bit the same way i

2:11:56

don't care so much but if i really like

2:11:59

it enough i'm gonna buy the console and

2:12:00

play it the con here's

2:12:01

the thing console like dude consoles the

2:12:06

console exclusives sell uh consoles right

2:12:12

like that and and and but what also does

2:12:16

is like the fomo cycle

2:12:18

like the fomo marketing cycle

2:12:20

and you know if you if you're deeply

2:12:23

passionate about there should

2:12:25

not be any console exclusives

2:12:27

then then you're caught in the fomo cycle

2:12:29

like it sucks like i don't

2:12:32

care about video like i don't

2:12:34

care about new video games anymore anyway

2:12:35

so it's like let them do

2:12:37

whatever the hell they want i

2:12:38

don't care i still get fomo dude i

2:12:43

literally the only game that has i've

2:12:45

even felt a little bit

2:12:46

of fomo for is the perfect dark game that

2:12:48

microsoft just killed like i'm not

2:12:50

kidding over the last 10

2:12:51

years i don't think i've been excited

2:12:53

about like any game

2:12:55

besides maybe doom eternal

2:12:58

and how did that turn out doom eternal

2:13:00

was great and then i saw it i love you

2:13:03

i watched the trailer for doing the dark

2:13:06

ages the first trailer

2:13:07

and i was like oh that looks

2:13:08

terrible and then i tried to keep an open

2:13:11

mind but i just did not

2:13:13

think it was exciting it didn't

2:13:14

look exciting like i think the games

2:13:17

industry has lost its mojo and that's

2:13:19

where we're at right now

2:13:20

like it's just a directionless industry i

2:13:24

i also think there's an

2:13:25

abundance of a lot of games and

2:13:27

i think there might be a little bit of

2:13:28

like just uh what is that what's the

2:13:33

thing i'm thinking of is

2:13:34

just we're getting too many we're being

2:13:37

inundated with just so much

2:13:39

yeah and most of the games now

2:13:42

are like predatory microtransactions with

2:13:46

like almost no like single

2:13:48

player like component and

2:13:50

i don't give a fuck about online play in

2:13:54

the slightest like so for

2:13:57

me it's like dude if you

2:13:58

want to sell you know and these companies

2:14:00

have just lost their way

2:14:01

completely so it's like i

2:14:03

want the industry to die and i don't care

2:14:05

like the triple-a industry

2:14:08

i want the indie industry to

2:14:09

keep going because they're great dude the

2:14:11

indies on hair the games

2:14:12

industry that would be yeah

2:14:14

that would be great indies shall air

2:14:16

hairdie the indies happened

2:14:18

before so sorry i i get on my

2:14:21

soapbox about this no it's fine it's just

2:14:24

there's a lot of people that

2:14:25

are going to suffer i i want

2:14:26

it to be kind of a rebirth i kind of want

2:14:28

like i don't think that's

2:14:30

gonna like the total video

2:14:31

games crash oh yeah that's it's coming

2:14:35

dude potentially yeah

2:14:38

well i think it's gonna be

2:14:39

they're just gonna keep on shedding off

2:14:41

anything that's not profitable and

2:14:44

they're gonna to get to

2:14:45

the point where it's like we can only

2:14:46

milk call of duty so much dude and and

2:14:48

they'll die they'll just

2:14:49

right now right now the industry is is

2:14:52

doing that already and it's

2:14:54

just it's a jenga tower like

2:14:56

they're they're shaving off everything

2:14:57

that isn't profitable and

2:14:59

resting the entire fate of the

2:15:00

industry on call of duty and halo and the

2:15:03

last of us and it's like

2:15:05

dude get the fuck out of here

2:15:10

yeah i mean and great the thought of five

2:15:11

like dude you know it's

2:15:13

just like these massive titles

2:15:15

that will not be that will not be able to

2:15:18

support the industry under

2:15:19

its own weight and it's just

2:15:20

gonna crash well i don't want to have

2:15:23

like four companies to go

2:15:24

work for that sounds horrible and

2:15:28

anti-competitive essentially especially

2:15:29

for such a big industry

2:15:31

as games yeah sounds like a

2:15:33

nightmare but then again i'm also i'm

2:15:35

much more for small and

2:15:36

medium businesses so yeah break up

2:15:39

the big ones yeah well we need unions and

2:15:41

we need smaller companies

2:15:42

unions are coming for these uh

2:15:44

for l-tech jobs yeah trust me on that one

2:15:47

it's gotta happen it's

2:15:50

you treat people bad enough

2:15:51

they're gonna unionize so um yeah well

2:15:56

let's end this uh episode

2:15:59

on uh i don't know if there's

2:16:01

anything good to end this on lonovo

2:16:03

legion go looks interesting but it's a

2:16:06

little disappointing

2:16:06

so nothing's good everything's bad uh

2:16:09

let's sign out anything glass let any

2:16:13

last uh things you want

2:16:15

to mention just little little things

2:16:17

before we head out get

2:16:19

subscribed yeah get subscribed also

2:16:22

iron mouse made her own little charity

2:16:25

that you can donate to for

2:16:26

the immune immune deficiency

2:16:28

foundation if you want to donate there

2:16:32

instead of having that

2:16:33

instead of having that uh charity

2:16:35

fund embezzled do it instead you know

2:16:38

there'll be a link in the description

2:16:39

down below i'm sending

2:16:41

that to you guys as well in case you're

2:16:43

interested and she's been

2:16:44

doing great work i think it's i

2:16:46

think it's good stuff man yeah she's a

2:16:49

good face for something like that too

2:16:51

like yeah she's done

2:16:52

amazing stuff she's very talented so i'm

2:16:56

2:16:57
