Trump wants to issue tariffs to Taiwanese Chip makers like TSMC, up to a 100% tariff supposedly.

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (or TSMC for short) is quite the prolific chip manufacturer, manufacturing chips for MANY many big hardware companies like Apple, AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and yes, even Intel now starting with Arrow Lake. While it isn’t guaranteed to be 100%, any form of tariff would drastically increase the price of just about anything technology related. Anything from computer components, to modern cars, to video game consoles, TVs, and much much more that we can’t even begin to imagine.

The $100 Video Game

$100 for a video game. Would you buy it? Would you do it if it was GTA VI? Would you do it for anything else?

New Sony Leadership

Hideaki Nishino and Hermen Hulst were both co-CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment, and now Nishino will be the sole CEO of SIE. Hulst will continue to serve as the CEO of the Studio Business Group, which means he will still be heading PlayStation’s portfolio of first-party studios. However, he will now be reporting to Nishino, rather than leading PlayStation alongside him.

Moon Studios CEO believes Sony will ALSO follow MS’s example

Link: https://x.com/thomasmahler/status/1883273827284599091

Thomas Mahler, CEO of Moon Studios (developer of Ori and the Blind Forest) believes that Sony will follow Microsoft’s example, eschewing the traditional console market instead opting for a similar structure where they will STILL sell their own hardware, but they will also sell games on whatever platform you want to game on.

PlayStation Drops PSN Account Requirement on PC

Link: https://steamdeckhq.com/news/playstation-drops-psn-account-requirement-on-pc/

PlayStation initially required a PlayStation Network (PSN) account for PC games like Helldivers 2, restricting purchases in over 170 countries. While they removed this requirement for Helldivers 2, the restriction remained for other titles. However, PlayStation has now reversed this policy for upcoming releases like God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, making account linking optional and offering in-game rewards instead.

Despite this positive change, there’s no confirmation on whether restricted countries will regain access to these games. The article also notes that the PSN requirement hasn’t significantly impacted Steam Deck compatibility, aside from Ghost of Tsushima’s multiplayer. Lastly, it highlights the quiet lead-up to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s release on PC

Sony has filed DMCA to Lance McDonald to Remove the Bloodborne 60fps Patch

Bloodborne on runs on PC via ShadPS4, but still runs at a capped 30FPS unless you patch the game. With the patch, you were able to run the game at a 60FPS limit. Sony however has decided to DMCA the patch, so to speak.

Nvidia RTX 5000 Launch - Better but maybe not worth the price?

Link: https://www.theverge.com/2025/1/23/598045/nvidia-rtx-5080-review-test-benchmark

https://old.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1i85jwg/geforce_rtx_5090_review_megathread/

As far as I’m aware, none of us actually own a new 5000 card. And many sources cite VRAM as being a bottleneck for newer titles and that 16GB may not be enough. Reviews for the 5080 are especially scathing with a content creator, Optimum, claiming he saw a literal 0% increase over the 4080 Super in Cyberpunk 2077. But of course the optics are different if you’re upgrading from say, a 3080. Some have observed that the 5090 is 50% more performant than the 5080.

Multi-frame-generation, the new Halo feature of the 5000 series cards, is also subsequently seeing mixed reviews. Much like the previous FrameGen tech Nvidia has, it works a LOT better with a higher base framerate as it doesn’t magically reduce latency and has increased overhead meaning your base framerate might actually be lower than normal and result in worse latency. Artifacting is also an issue. I’ve seen some videos of it in action and man… it is TERRIBLE.

The Layoffs Begin Anew

Ubisoft closes down a UK based studio of theirs. A support studio formerly known as FreeStyleGames, Ubisoft Leamington assisted with development on Tom Clancy’s The Division series, Star Wars Outlaws, Skull and Bones and Far Cry 5 among other games.*

And Ubisoft isn’t alone. EA is also in on it, with Bioware employees effectively being relocated into other studios and the studio being halved from 200 to 100 while Mass Effect 5 is still in pre-production.

Another Live Service Bites the Dust - Multiversus going offline

Link: https://multiversus.com/en/news/multiversus-update

Season 5 of Multiversus will be the last season of the game and starts on February 4th, and will last until May 30th. Starting from January 31st, all real money transactions will be disabled. The game WILL be playable offline, so long as you download and log into the game before the end of the season. They also say the game will no longer be downloadable after May 30th, but it is unknown if they mean the game will no longer be claimable or that you cannot redownload it if you ever decide to uninstall it.

1:00:00

Good morning, everybody. It is another

1:00:02

episode of Off the Console,

1:00:05

the hottest podcast about tech

1:00:07

and gaming and anything nerdy.

1:00:09

We're here today with my

1:00:10

friends, James and HiTechLilLife.

1:00:12

How's it going, guys?

1:00:15

Going to and fine. How about you?

1:00:17

Doing all right now that I'm on the show.

1:00:21

This week, we've got

1:00:22

some like crazy news.

1:00:25

DeepSeek, R1 kind of

1:00:27

upset the entire tech industry

1:00:29

and wiped a bunch of

1:00:30

valuation off of Nvidia stock.

1:00:32

We'll talk about that.

1:00:33

We're going to talk about the tariffs.

1:00:36

We're getting political guys.

1:00:37

We're going to talk about it.

1:00:40

And also, there's a ton of Sony news this

1:00:42

week that we're going to cover.

1:00:44

And like a ton like it's

1:00:46

half of our document this week.

1:00:48

I know. So we like to start this show off

1:00:53

with talking about what

1:00:55

everybody's been playing this week.

1:00:56

What have you guys been playing?

1:00:58

James.

1:00:59

Ah, I have been playing the news game.

1:01:03

I've been looking at

1:01:04

Apple News and also Reddit and

1:01:07

trying to stay away from X because it is.

1:01:13

It's a cesspool, but

1:01:16

yeah, no, honestly,

1:01:17

what have I been playing?

1:01:20

There's a reason they call them

1:01:21

excretions when you post something on X.

1:01:24

Dude, that is amazing.

1:01:27

I love that.

1:01:28

I think that makes me want to use it more

1:01:30

now because it's stupid.

1:01:34

I've been watching my wife play Ratchet

1:01:35

and Clank on PS5, actually.

1:01:37

Funny. Oh, nice.

1:01:38

That's a that's a fun

1:01:39

game that I've not beat yet.

1:01:42

I should pick it up on PC.

1:01:44

It's a good one. It's like I forgot how

1:01:47

good that game looks.

1:01:48

Insomnia, insomnia is so good.

1:01:54

And I'm making games.

1:01:55

I know Spider-Man 2 came on PC, too.

1:01:57

Also developed Insomniac.

1:01:59

Yep, they're really like

1:02:00

they're top tier developers.

1:02:04

Would you say better than Naughty Dog?

1:02:09

I'm different. That's a hard one.

1:02:11

Really? In terms of what I like.

1:02:13

Yeah, you don't like Naughty

1:02:14

Dog games that much, though.

1:02:16

So as as for me, I

1:02:18

guess I've been playing

1:02:20

Blotrow still trying

1:02:22

to 100 percent the game.

1:02:23

It's pure insanity.

1:02:25

But I also am playing

1:02:27

Marvel Rivals as as usual.

1:02:29

I also got this new game

1:02:30

called a needy streamer

1:02:32

Overload Typing of the Net. It's OK.

1:02:36

All right. So the bit was so there's

1:02:38

going to be some spoilers,

1:02:40

but I'll tell you what it is.

1:02:41

So it's basically like a typing game.

1:02:43

Like think of like typing of the dead.

1:02:45

But instead of typing like actual words,

1:02:47

you type in like in that slang.

1:02:48

And it's the funniest shit ever.

1:02:51

And there are some really deep cuts.

1:02:53

Like you'd have to be a four channeler to

1:02:55

like know what these are.

1:02:56

Like nice digits is one.

1:03:01

Do they have for who goo gods?

1:03:05

I don't think I've seen that yet, but

1:03:07

there's some not for who goo gods.

1:03:12

There's a lot of like we have.

1:03:14

There's like a lot of we do

1:03:15

references to it. It's crazy.

1:03:17

But then when you beat the game,

1:03:19

there's actually a whole secret second

1:03:21

game that's like not advertised at all

1:03:22

in the game itself.

1:03:24

That's your spoiler warning. Nice. Nice.

1:03:28

But yeah, just me mostly

1:03:29

trying 100 percent Bellatro.

1:03:31

And it's going to take a while.

1:03:33

I bet you if I actually took this

1:03:34

seriously during like last year,

1:03:37

I probably would have

1:03:37

finished by now, but you know.

1:03:41

Oh, so you've been playing it for.

1:03:42

Oh, wait, Bellatro

1:03:43

you're talking about, though.

1:03:44

Yeah, Bellatro. I've been

1:03:45

trying to 100 percent it.

1:03:46

So the requirements for 100 percent

1:03:48

Bellatro is a you have to beat

1:03:50

the game with every deck on the highest

1:03:52

difficulty gold state.

1:03:55

And in order to do that, you

1:03:56

have to beat each individual.

1:03:58

You don't like a lot.

1:03:59

You like a lot of difficulties for the

1:04:01

deck you're playing.

1:04:03

So like you don't just I'm not golden and

1:04:04

you can just play all the mongol.

1:04:05

You have to like go

1:04:06

through every single like level

1:04:10

with every single deck.

1:04:12

And then you have to get a gold sticker

1:04:14

on all the jokers, which means

1:04:16

you have to beat the game with

1:04:18

all of the jokers in inventory

1:04:20

at some point in time.

1:04:23

Oh, that sounds intense.

1:04:27

That sounds like some I don't know.

1:04:29

And then you have to be all the

1:04:30

challenges, but I'm not

1:04:31

going to worry about those

1:04:32

until I gold star gold

1:04:34

sticker, all of them.

1:04:37

Wow. I mean, it sounds

1:04:39

like a fun challenge.

1:04:40

I don't know if I could do it.

1:04:43

I 100 percent at half life.

1:04:46

To an episode.

1:04:48

I don't think I was able to know.

1:04:49

I think I did all the episodes

1:04:50

also half life to an episode.

1:04:53

That's about it.

1:04:54

Yeah.

1:04:54

100 percenting.

1:04:56

I don't have the

1:04:56

patience to 100 percent games.

1:04:59

Like I really the only actually the only

1:05:01

game I did 100 percent was Spelunky.

1:05:03

And that took years for me to do.

1:05:06

Damn. Yeah.

1:05:07

That's Spelunky Spelunky.

1:05:09

Oh, my God. Spelunky one.

1:05:12

But I think it.

1:05:13

Yeah.

1:05:14

Like it was like.

1:05:16

There's a like a whole secret level that

1:05:17

you have to get that.

1:05:18

There's like nearly impossible to get to

1:05:20

unless you have the right like run.

1:05:22

Basically, I think it was like Eldorado.

1:05:24

I believe it was.

1:05:26

Yeah, or something like that.

1:05:27

It's like a city of

1:05:28

gold or some sort of gold.

1:05:30

Dude, I mean, and eggplant run is crazy.

1:05:34

Like everything about

1:05:35

that game is just insane.

1:05:36

So yeah.

1:05:38

Games are.

1:05:39

I don't know if I

1:05:40

actually fully 100 percent of it,

1:05:42

but that's as close as I've ever come.

1:05:43

Like I I did.

1:05:44

I think I've been to every level and I've

1:05:47

killed pretty much every enemy

1:05:48

that you can get in your journal.

1:05:51

OK, are you sure you said it?

1:05:54

No, no, I'm saying I don't think I did

1:05:56

now that I am thinking back on it.

1:05:58

I think you might have to go back to it.

1:06:00

I don't know.

1:06:00

Is that it?

1:06:03

You're not going to

1:06:03

get fact checked here.

1:06:04

You could just say it.

1:06:05

It'll be so.

1:06:09

Half Life's an easy one.

1:06:10

Half Life 2 is a fun one 100 percent

1:06:11

because like their achievements

1:06:13

are just fun to go out and find like

1:06:16

going find the vertigo

1:06:17

that's like in this sewer system that's

1:06:20

roasting headcrabs to eat.

1:06:22

You know, that was one of the

1:06:23

achievements is just fun stuff.

1:06:25

So it was a fun one to do.

1:06:27

There's.

1:06:30

Man, so like.

1:06:32

I heard some other

1:06:33

interest, Gungeon, like a while ago,

1:06:35

and that took a while too, because you

1:06:36

have to get every done

1:06:38

and a lot of them requires.

1:06:40

I don't know. It was a lot.

1:06:42

And then they added more stuff after I

1:06:44

100 percent the first time.

1:06:46

So I had to do it again.

1:06:47

Yeah, man.

1:06:49

I hate when that happens, to be honest.

1:06:51

That when vampire survivors like 100

1:06:53

percent of that game,

1:06:55

and then they just kept making updates

1:06:56

and now I'm probably like

1:06:57

at most 50 percent done.

1:07:01

That's what Astros kind of like.

1:07:03

Astros come out with a couple extra, but

1:07:05

I played it right after.

1:07:06

So technically, there's supposed to be

1:07:08

like 300 bots, but then you can get

1:07:10

like once you had 300, the new levels

1:07:12

unlock and you have like 18 more

1:07:13

you have to get. So because they're like

1:07:15

Christmas specials and stuff.

1:07:17

They are. Can you only get

1:07:19

it during Christmas time?

1:07:21

No, well, I don't think so.

1:07:24

It was just unlocked.

1:07:24

So you become like you

1:07:25

have Santa Claus outfit on.

1:07:27

You're playing a snow level.

1:07:28

It was really honestly like I know I keep

1:07:31

on praising that game.

1:07:32

It's just it brings me back to the good

1:07:34

old days of making really good games.

1:07:36

And it had some complexity to it.

1:07:37

So like it's what gamers want, right?

1:07:41

They don't want unfinished games.

1:07:43

They don't want, you know,

1:07:45

a lot of extra crap at it.

1:07:46

They want free stuff. That's like.

1:07:49

What that game is, there's no DLCs.

1:07:52

They have new content comes out. It's

1:07:56

I play I'm playing it almost

1:07:57

a year after it's released,

1:07:58

but there is no real bugs in it.

1:08:01

So it's really good.

1:08:05

What I've been playing this week,

1:08:07

it's I've been so I was it last Monday?

1:08:11

I posted a video about like emulating the

1:08:14

3DS on your on your steam deck.

1:08:17

And a bunch of people in

1:08:21

the comments were like,

1:08:22

you need to do VR 3DS stuff.

1:08:26

And I was like, is that

1:08:28

even possible? What? And.

1:08:31

So I ended up screwing around with this.

1:08:37

Which looks ridiculous,

1:08:38

because it's too small for my head.

1:08:40

Oh, wow, that's a narrow.

1:08:42

Is that the is that the

1:08:43

venture or the venture? Yeah.

1:08:47

And and it's actually pretty neat.

1:08:50

They sent this to me a long time ago.

1:08:54

And like when it first came out and like

1:08:56

there wasn't like wide support for it.

1:08:59

And it was like making

1:08:59

me feel a little sick.

1:09:01

So they were like, you

1:09:01

don't have to make a video.

1:09:03

It was making you sick.

1:09:04

And so and they didn't ask for it back.

1:09:06

So I never did, but I never sent it back.

1:09:08

But then I had it in my

1:09:11

drawer and I was like, hey,

1:09:12

I could probably do

1:09:12

this with my steam deck.

1:09:13

And there's a frickin decky

1:09:15

loader app or decky loader plugin

1:09:17

that will turn your your steam deck into

1:09:20

like a virtual screen.

1:09:23

And it's pretty neat.

1:09:25

So I've been just doing that and trying

1:09:27

out different games.

1:09:28

And you can't really do VR like that on

1:09:32

here, because it's like.

1:09:34

I don't know how to explain it.

1:09:36

It just it doesn't do

1:09:37

like the depth on each eye.

1:09:40

It with the decky loader app,

1:09:41

but it's pretty neat anyway.

1:09:43

So if you switch into desktop mode,

1:09:45

there's like a I

1:09:46

think it's called Breezy.

1:09:47

There's an application that

1:09:48

will help you do VR stuff.

1:09:51

And you can do side by side mode.

1:09:54

Anyway, I've been messing around with

1:09:55

that and it's pretty neat on

1:09:56

and trying to get the

1:09:58

three years emulator to work.

1:10:00

Hasn't haven't played

1:10:01

playing the game in 3D on.

1:10:03

Wait, it doesn't.

1:10:03

Wait, you say what you said

1:10:04

it doesn't do that perception.

1:10:06

That's my bad.

1:10:08

Well, so each each

1:10:09

lens has its own screen

1:10:11

and you can do like side by side mode

1:10:16

where it will split an image

1:10:17

if it's rendered in 3D in the device.

1:10:21

But it doesn't work as far as I've seen.

1:10:23

It doesn't work with like Steam VR.

1:10:26

So so it does.

1:10:29

You can't play like VR titles on this.

1:10:32

But you can play games in 3D.

1:10:35

Sorry, what?

1:10:36

But you can do like 3D.

1:10:38

Yeah, so like if the game if

1:10:40

like you're watching a 3D video

1:10:42

or you're playing a game that renders in

1:10:43

like a side by side thing,

1:10:45

then you can set up this to do that.

1:10:48

That's pretty cool.

1:10:50

Yeah, and there might be a

1:10:51

way to do Steam VR on here.

1:10:53

I don't know for sure.

1:10:54

I haven't I haven't been

1:10:55

able to figure it out yet.

1:10:57

But I'll probably make a video about this

1:10:58

because it is really neat.

1:11:00

Have you tried using?

1:11:02

If either of you guys tried using those

1:11:03

glasses on and like a flight?

1:11:07

No.

1:11:09

Really tempted to try to get some.

1:11:11

I'll tell you like

1:11:12

I'll tell you like that.

1:11:15

I am really interested to try it on a

1:11:17

flight because when I'm if I'm on

1:11:20

a those chairs are so uncomfortable and

1:11:22

I'm like six foot three

1:11:24

and so like sitting there

1:11:25

and hunched over like this.

1:11:26

It like kills my neck.

1:11:28

So hold on.

1:11:29

Hold up.

1:11:30

You're six foot three.

1:11:32

Yeah, I did not know that.

1:11:34

No, that's crazy.

1:11:35

Oh my gosh.

1:11:35

That's crazy.

1:11:36

I know that really tall like everybody I

1:11:39

know is like I forget how

1:11:41

tall you are until I come back to you

1:11:43

like until I see you in person.

1:11:46

Wow, that is probably the

1:11:47

biggest news for the last week.

1:11:49

And there's a lot of news.

1:11:50

Oh my god.

1:11:52

I'm also 36 which feels crazy.

1:11:54

You're doing what you're

1:11:56

that no, I'm just kidding.

1:11:57

Yeah, not by much though, right?

1:12:03

We talk about that last week.

1:12:05

Dude.

1:12:07

Dude, what that's crazy man.

1:12:09

You're six foot three.

1:12:10

I didn't know that and that's for taking

1:12:12

and that's for taking on

1:12:13

the flight.

1:12:14

I do have I don't have pictures.

1:12:15

I do have I have the raid nears.

1:12:17

I think they're called the air to use.

1:12:20

Fast similar.

1:12:21

I do want to take them on a

1:12:23

flight and try them out there.

1:12:23

I'll let you know how it

1:12:24

is, but I'm pretty sure.

1:12:27

I mean, I'm pretty sure is gonna be a

1:12:28

good experience because I

1:12:29

mean, why wouldn't it be right?

1:12:31

It's better than fucking like you said

1:12:33

like lunch crunching

1:12:35

down a player steam

1:12:36

deck or whatever, right?

1:12:38

It's more or less just to relax and kind

1:12:41

of forget about everything

1:12:42

else as much as possible.

1:12:43

Yeah, see the thing is I'm really I'm

1:12:46

super sensitive to like VR

1:12:49

like nausea and stuff.

1:12:51

So I have to like turn off the shade

1:12:56

darkening that it does like

1:12:58

you can see through the shade here and

1:13:00

you can see that like

1:13:00

the reflector there but like when the

1:13:02

screen is on those the

1:13:04

shades automatically darken and so it

1:13:07

like excludes everything

1:13:09

so you can just focus on the image.

1:13:11

But if I'm focusing on the

1:13:14

image and it's static and moving

1:13:16

with my head, it makes me so sick.

1:13:19

What's the what's oh, yeah, sorry.

1:13:22

Well, I was gonna say like if

1:13:23

I turn on like follow mode on

1:13:26

on in the XR app, then it then

1:13:31

I'll move and then the screen

1:13:32

will start will like move after right

1:13:35

like so it's it gives

1:13:36

you that sense like there's

1:13:38

a screen floating out here.

1:13:39

That's moving rather than

1:13:41

having it stuck to your view and

1:13:43

that helps tremendously.

1:13:45

But also if you turn off the darkening

1:13:47

when screen is active

1:13:49

it's enough visual information did not

1:13:51

cause me to feel sick

1:13:53

because actually I was on the treadmill

1:13:55

with these and I was

1:13:56

watching a YouTube video and I was very

1:13:59

impressed by how that

1:14:01

how work.

1:14:02

Yeah, that's cool.

1:14:03

I wish my awesome.

1:14:04

I wish my glasses

1:14:05

electric from a dimming.

1:14:08

So it's really nice.

1:14:10

What's the refresh rate on

1:14:11

those like I don't know I cuz

1:14:14

that's a huge part of nausea.

1:14:16

Like if you have a lot of

1:14:17

motion sickness and stuff like

1:14:18

that, it's usually comes down

1:14:21

to both the game performance

1:14:23

and refresh rate of the I wear isn't

1:14:26

yours like 120 gardener.

1:14:27

I believe I am not not sure

1:14:30

I'm googling it right now.

1:14:31

Well, even if refresh rates of 120 you

1:14:34

got to make sure the

1:14:35

game or whatever you're doing

1:14:36

is matching that or and that

1:14:40

could be worth DLSS like we've talked

1:14:42

about before and FSR

1:14:44

like frame generation could

1:14:45

actually be nice even though

1:14:47

you'll get artifacting if

1:14:49

you're doing if you're doing

1:14:49

AR or stuff like that

1:14:52

you're going to want that.

1:14:54

Yeah, I mean 120 Hertz is

1:14:56

what it says which I can't argue

1:14:59

with that but I can tell you

1:15:00

that my steam deck does not

1:15:02

generate that amount of frames.

1:15:05

Then you just need you just need someone

1:15:07

that Nvidia multi-frame

1:15:09

generation turn your 30 and yes and 120.

1:15:12

Yes.

1:15:13

Well, here's the thing.

1:15:14

I don't know.

1:15:14

Did we talk about this yet?

1:15:16

But there's a there's a

1:15:17

plug-in for decky loader to enable

1:15:21

especially games that use

1:15:22

DLSS to enable FSR 3 on them.

1:15:25

No, I haven't seen that.

1:15:28

Yeah, so some games can get

1:15:29

a pretty big hit like bump up

1:15:31

and performance and then

1:15:32

obviously if it's 30 or lower it

1:15:34

doesn't okay.

1:15:36

Well, yeah, I'll get out to try that out

1:15:38

later on my own time.

1:15:40

Yeah.

1:15:42

Well, I think with that we

1:15:44

should move on to the stories

1:15:45

of the week.

1:15:46

Huh?

1:15:47

Yes.

1:15:48

Yeah, well actually before we

1:15:52

get to the news we should we

1:15:53

should ask everybody who's listening and

1:15:55

watching to subscribe

1:15:57

to the show.

1:15:58

If you enjoy these like three

1:16:01

hours long discussions about

1:16:03

dirty and tech stuff make sure you

1:16:05

subscribe to us on YouTube.

1:16:06

You can follow the RSS feed in your

1:16:09

favorite podcasting apps

1:16:10

we're on Spotify.

1:16:11

We're on is it Apple music now?

1:16:13

I was going to say iTunes and you can

1:16:15

engage with the show

1:16:17

through comments on YouTube or on the

1:16:19

Fetaverse where at off

1:16:21

the console show at

1:16:23

podcast dot subscribe to me.

1:16:26

Yeah, we we are I think we

1:16:29

should at some point and start

1:16:30

including comments that people leave

1:16:32

because we're getting

1:16:32

some now on YouTube which I

1:16:34

think is really important to

1:16:36

engage with.

1:16:37

Ask questions to like

1:16:38

hey, we need to start.

1:16:40

Answering some questions if

1:16:41

you guys have questions and ask

1:16:42

them in the comments of

1:16:43

all try to pop them on in.

1:16:45

I think that'd be really fun.

1:16:46

I agree.

1:16:47

I think that would be great.

1:16:48

How many subscribers do we have now?

1:16:50

We've got 273 on YouTube.

1:16:54

I don't know how many we have on like the

1:16:55

other podcast software,

1:16:57

but like yeah, I think

1:16:59

we're doing pretty good.

1:17:00

I think we're getting lots

1:17:01

of views and downloads too.

1:17:04

So it seems like people are enjoying the

1:17:05

show which I'm happy

1:17:07

about.

1:17:08

Um, cool.

1:17:10

All right, you guys

1:17:11

want to get political.

1:17:13

A warning.

1:17:15

Hello political.

1:17:17

This is gonna be

1:17:19

interesting territory to tread into.

1:17:22

So Trump apparently wants to issue

1:17:25

tariffs to Taiwanese

1:17:26

chipmaker TSMC with supposedly 100%

1:17:31

tariff on on all things

1:17:33

which James you were saying before we

1:17:35

started could end up

1:17:36

stacking.

1:17:37

So like multiple components in a build

1:17:39

would get like would

1:17:41

mean you'd have more

1:17:42

500% tariff or something.

1:17:44

Yeah, I mean it wouldn't be

1:17:45

quite like that, but it would

1:17:46

be stacking a sense of

1:17:48

like they're a terror.

1:17:51

Yeah, it's gonna be nasty.

1:17:52

Let's just say that well, I

1:17:53

honestly have been like I have

1:17:56

checked out of politics

1:17:57

because I had too much opium and then

1:18:00

it all vanished in an instant.

1:18:03

And so I've checked out of politics.

1:18:04

So I'm gonna need one of

1:18:05

you guys to tell me about this

1:18:06

because I don't know.

1:18:08

Okay, so Trump wants to

1:18:13

tear wants to issue a tariff to

1:18:15

Taiwan up to 100% tariffs

1:18:18

because they you know, they

1:18:20

want American chip

1:18:21

manufacturers to be protected or some

1:18:23

bullshit like that because

1:18:24

everyone's going to TSMC.

1:18:25

Yes, even Intel is going to TSMC too.

1:18:29

If I'm mistaken, they started

1:18:30

doing that with a arrow Lake

1:18:31

and whatnot.

1:18:32

And to be fair Intel's

1:18:35

foundry seem to be not able to do

1:18:38

like low nanometer process.

1:18:40

I think they've been stuck on like 10

1:18:41

nanometer for years,

1:18:43

right? They've been stuck in 10

1:18:45

nanometers like that 10

1:18:46

minute process.

1:18:47

They've been stuck on a nanometer.

1:18:50

I don't think it's 10 though.

1:18:51

I think I'm pretty

1:18:51

sure it's lower than that.

1:18:53

I'd have to look it up though.

1:18:55

They were stuck on

1:18:56

something that for a long time if I

1:18:57

recall but Intel is still stuck like

1:19:00

we're pretty much hit

1:19:01

that like theoretical limit, I think.

1:19:05

Yes, and so the problem with

1:19:08

this is that everything uses

1:19:12

chips, computer chips and two of the in

1:19:16

like here's a problem

1:19:18

with doing this.

1:19:20

Everything uses chips.

1:19:22

Everything is going to go up in prices

1:19:23

and like even things

1:19:25

that aren't necessarily chips like

1:19:27

fucking food and stuff

1:19:29

that gets transported by

1:19:30

cars that may have chips inside

1:19:32

them, correct?

1:19:34

That's probably the price too.

1:19:37

Yeah, it literally will

1:19:38

affect almost everything.

1:19:41

Maybe even your toaster if

1:19:42

it's an Xbox but it's I'm sorry.

1:19:47

I'm going to keep on with that.

1:19:48

I really like that.

1:19:50

So so Intel is that

1:19:52

stuck at five nanometers.

1:19:53

I think AMD is like a step below that.

1:19:59

But I'd have to look that up.

1:20:00

Yeah for me.

1:20:01

I mean, there's I believe is

1:20:01

where AMD is but Intel's been

1:20:03

stuck between seven and five for a while.

1:20:07

But here's the thing guys.

1:20:11

There's a reason why we get

1:20:12

our chip sets and most chips get

1:20:15

made in Taiwan.

1:20:18

They have the tech.

1:20:20

They have the know-how the

1:20:23

copyrights and everything.

1:20:25

We have really good relations

1:20:27

with Taiwan and we've continued

1:20:29

to do that.

1:20:30

It's caused major issues with China

1:20:32

because China doesn't

1:20:33

want Taiwan to exist, right?

1:20:36

And so it's all a mess.

1:20:39

I don't know why Trump's

1:20:41

going after Taiwan who's been a

1:20:44

really big ally with us except for he

1:20:47

wants to usually with

1:20:48

tariffs like a little bit

1:20:50

of background with tariffs.

1:20:50

Tariffs are usually meant

1:20:52

to push domestic produce.

1:20:56

It's usually meant to like

1:20:57

try to punish another country or

1:21:01

not a country but like an you know, an

1:21:02

import that's coming

1:21:03

in to then do it domestically is

1:21:07

oftentimes but the last

1:21:09

time we had a major tariff

1:21:10

war it nearly wrecked us and

1:21:13

destroyed multiple politicians lives

1:21:16

about a hundred years

1:21:17

ago a little and then.

1:21:21

With these tariffs that

1:21:23

are going on right now.

1:21:26

They are going to they don't

1:21:29

like with tariffs like what

1:21:30

we found out over years

1:21:31

because we still use tariffs every

1:21:32

once in a while still like

1:21:33

we've used them over decades,

1:21:35

but they're very strategic.

1:21:37

But they always

1:21:38

trickle down to the consumer.

1:21:40

They're never paid by the

1:21:42

companies on the other side.

1:21:44

They're paid by domestic companies.

1:21:47

So anytime we buy anything,

1:21:48

they're just going to include

1:21:49

like everything's made and everything.

1:21:50

They're just going to

1:21:51

include that price tag to us.

1:21:53

So this ends up always like

1:21:55

and tell like what would be

1:21:57

the most strategic thing is open up.

1:21:59

Well, here's the thing, but

1:22:00

the Biden administration did

1:22:01

a chips act to start doing

1:22:04

more domestic made it chips.

1:22:07

That's the way to do it.

1:22:08

And then if you want to once

1:22:09

it's up and running and doing

1:22:11

really well, you could then

1:22:12

implement tariffs to then do

1:22:15

more domestic and that's

1:22:16

the correct way to do it.

1:22:17

If you want to go that

1:22:18

route, you don't just like

1:22:19

well, I want to be domestic.

1:22:21

It might take decades and and like

1:22:23

royally fuck over our

1:22:25

whole tech scene and

1:22:28

potentially give even more wins to

1:22:31

other countries.

1:22:32

And though I don't like

1:22:33

looking at it that way.

1:22:35

This is going like if this

1:22:36

does go through which Trump

1:22:38

keeps on going back and forth on on

1:22:40

tariffs back and forth

1:22:41

on tariff.

1:22:42

So we'll see if this goes through.

1:22:45

I'm really curious.

1:22:47

Yeah.

1:22:49

I don't I don't want to get

1:22:51

into like politics, right?

1:22:53

Like I just don't I find it very

1:22:55

obnoxious and I don't

1:22:57

know but at the same time,

1:22:59

it's like it's clear to me

1:23:00

that like this guy doesn't

1:23:03

know anything about trade and

1:23:05

he doesn't know anything about like

1:23:08

business even though

1:23:10

he's like supposed to be a businessman.

1:23:12

So that's my that's my take

1:23:14

like I the fact that he keeps

1:23:16

going back and forth.

1:23:17

It means that he's he's

1:23:18

listening to many different people

1:23:20

who are telling him many

1:23:21

different things, right?

1:23:23

And I just it doesn't stand

1:23:25

for anything as far as I'm

1:23:26

concerned.

1:23:27

He wasn't just a businessman.

1:23:28

He was the businessman.

1:23:31

He I think he I remember he

1:23:32

had his own show like back in

1:23:33

the like the early 2000s and

1:23:35

then his his catchphrase was

1:23:38

you're fired.

1:23:40

It was always the funniest

1:23:41

shit ever but man that wouldn't

1:23:43

and that I don't know man.

1:23:44

I don't yeah, you're

1:23:45

I'm with the gardener.

1:23:46

I don't really like

1:23:47

talking about politics.

1:23:48

But yeah, this is something that directly

1:23:50

affects our interests

1:23:52

and livelihood like look at this.

1:23:54

It's gonna jack the prices

1:23:55

of basically everything and I

1:23:56

was looking forward to

1:23:57

building a new computer this year

1:23:59

and I might have to accelerate those

1:24:00

plans because of the

1:24:02

incoming tariffs like

1:24:03

fuck man like what was it?

1:24:05

I was gonna build like

1:24:06

let's say you were gonna build a

1:24:07

computer that was like $2,000 right?

1:24:12

I could probably see that

1:24:13

rising maybe even doubling too

1:24:16

like imagine how fucked about be.

1:24:19

It could potentially yeah

1:24:20

that $2,000 Nvidia video card

1:24:23

it's gonna be $4,000 potentially.

1:24:26

Yeah, I mean I don't think

1:24:29

all of it is done through

1:24:30

TSMC.

1:24:31

I'm sure the physical

1:24:32

materials are done through China

1:24:34

but like the chips are

1:24:35

definitely done through TSMC

1:24:36

if I'm not mistaken.

1:24:38

He's he's doing a

1:24:40

blanket on a lot of the stuff.

1:24:41

So it might say TSMC but Trump isn't

1:24:45

necessarily going to

1:24:45

target just one company

1:24:46

if he's targeting typically

1:24:48

countries.

1:24:49

He might he might have like

1:24:51

minions targeting specific

1:24:54

companies in those but

1:24:55

typically he's been trying to

1:24:57

do more like if he says

1:24:59

electronics is probably going

1:25:00

to cover it.

1:25:01

Once again, we don't know he

1:25:03

goes back and forth on this

1:25:04

whole thing.

1:25:05

I'm not trying to be

1:25:05

political like I don't mind being

1:25:08

political but I'm trying not

1:25:09

to be like this is just the

1:25:12

realistic nature of actions and

1:25:15

consequences kind of stuff.

1:25:17

We he said he's going to do tariffs.

1:25:20

I mentioned he was going to

1:25:21

do tariffs back early November

1:25:23

and there's a good chance

1:25:25

he's going to do it even though

1:25:25

I don't think any of his

1:25:27

visors want him to do it for

1:25:29

some reason.

1:25:30

He has got it in his mind

1:25:31

that he wants to do tariffs and

1:25:33

he has recently said that

1:25:34

it's one of his favorite words to

1:25:36

say is tariffs.

1:25:37

I so it is once again, the

1:25:40

reason I only bring this all

1:25:41

up is because I try to be

1:25:43

very skeptical that this is going

1:25:44

to happen.

1:25:45

But if this does happen, this

1:25:46

is going to fuck everyone over

1:25:49

this year that wants to buy anything

1:25:51

electronic because it's

1:25:52

going to somehow hit you

1:25:54

whether it's 10% increase whether

1:25:56

it's a 50% increase.

1:25:58

We don't know yet and we

1:25:59

might not know until it actually

1:26:01

happens because yeah,

1:26:04

even the uncertainty of it.

1:26:07

Will he do it?

1:26:07

Will he not do it is

1:26:09

having an economic toll, right?

1:26:11

Like that it just I don't know dude.

1:26:15

It bothers me in a lot of ways because

1:26:18

it's like I can I can

1:26:20

I can get behind some of

1:26:22

the sentiments for people like

1:26:24

wanting tariffs, right?

1:26:25

Like, you know, I want

1:26:26

more domestic manufacturing.

1:26:28

I want more domestic like

1:26:30

food production because a lot of

1:26:32

our food comes from China, right?

1:26:34

It's like I want more of agriculture.

1:26:36

I want more things locally.

1:26:39

Create jobs, right?

1:26:40

Hey, that's a good thing.

1:26:42

But if it's not done, right,

1:26:45

it will have the opposite effect

1:26:47

of what we want and you know,

1:26:50

people are complaining about

1:26:51

prices now, but like prices

1:26:53

will go up across the board on

1:26:56

everything and you know, half of the

1:26:59

things he was running

1:26:59

on was like, oh, yeah, I'm

1:27:00

going to bring the price of eggs

1:27:01

down. It's like dude, dude

1:27:04

doesn't even know you don't need

1:27:05

an ID to buy a loaf of

1:27:06

bread for God's sakes, right?

1:27:09

Like he said that once or

1:27:10

twice on the game and it's like

1:27:12

what do you talk?

1:27:13

He doesn't he's so disconnected.

1:27:14

It makes me upset and that's

1:27:15

why I don't tune into politics

1:27:18

anymore.

1:27:19

It's that's a tactic.

1:27:20

It's not he I don't think he believed it.

1:27:22

It's a tactic to say this other and no

1:27:24

one facts checks them

1:27:25

anymore.

1:27:26

Yeah, so and anyone can say

1:27:29

this bloke learn if this gets

1:27:30

you upset like you need to go check.

1:27:32

I just check out a politics

1:27:34

of this is getting you upset

1:27:35

because I try to too, but

1:27:37

it's really hard with the like

1:27:43

talking about the food

1:27:44

stuff like we actually produce.

1:27:45

I don't think people understand how much

1:27:47

we produce domestically

1:27:48

on a lot of stuff.

1:27:49

We actually produce a lot of food,

1:27:51

California, especially

1:27:53

produces a lot of food.

1:27:54

And so like we we there's it's world

1:27:58

trades because it's no

1:28:00

country.

1:28:01

It can be a hundred percent good at

1:28:03

everything and usually

1:28:05

you like to specialize.

1:28:06

That's usually how it works.

1:28:07

The problem is is that then

1:28:10

if you end up in a bad dispute

1:28:11

with that country where they're really

1:28:13

good at mate like Taiwan

1:28:15

making chips, then your products go up.

1:28:18

But that's the thing people might get

1:28:20

upset at Taiwan, but

1:28:21

we do the same thing.

1:28:22

We're doing it right

1:28:23

now to other countries.

1:28:26

And so that's why we want to

1:28:27

have that's what a diplomat is

1:28:29

for.

1:28:30

I don't know why Trump's trying to be a

1:28:31

diplomat like we have

1:28:32

diplomats to go and talk and do

1:28:34

negotiations, but ultimately

1:28:39

I think no matter what even if

1:28:40

this does not go through this

1:28:42

might even trigger some

1:28:44

companies to raise their prices

1:28:47

just out of anticipation and

1:28:48

they'll just won't say anything

1:28:50

like well, we thought maybe so and then

1:28:52

they've justified it

1:28:53

multiple times.

1:28:54

It will be very interesting

1:28:55

to see like what Nvidia does

1:28:57

because the CEO of Nvidia

1:29:00

just met with I don't know if we

1:29:03

have it in our new things, but he met

1:29:06

with Trump yesterday

1:29:07

I believe about all the stuff going on.

1:29:10

So like with the tariffs

1:29:11

and a couple other things so I

1:29:16

man, so fucking Nvidia will

1:29:19

take every opportunity to jack

1:29:20

of the prices of the

1:29:20

graphics cards and the network bring

1:29:22

it down and AMD is also complicit too.

1:29:25

They don't direct they are the ones

1:29:27

leading the charge, but

1:29:28

they're the most okay with it because

1:29:30

they'll like they'll

1:29:32

make it graphics card that like is $100

1:29:36

cheaper, but it's like

1:29:37

75% the performance and it doesn't even

1:29:39

have great retracing

1:29:40

performance and that really

1:29:42

pisses me off about fucking

1:29:45

AMD.

1:29:46

I'm also curious.

1:29:48

Yeah, that's the thing like

1:29:49

you can never expect prices to

1:29:51

go down for like that's a

1:29:53

little I think a little bit of a

1:29:55

perception of like capitalism

1:29:56

like you're always should be

1:29:57

trying to get the lowest cost item like

1:30:00

whatever like unless

1:30:01

you have really good manufacturing and

1:30:03

automated manufacturing

1:30:04

and really automated systems

1:30:06

there there becomes a point

1:30:08

where you can't can't reduce

1:30:10

it much more and I'm wondering

1:30:11

because I think China has been doing

1:30:13

better have better pay

1:30:17

for their employees same with Taiwan.

1:30:20

I wonder if some of the

1:30:20

costs going up is because those

1:30:22

countries are doing better and

1:30:23

so some of that's been offset

1:30:24

to even other second world

1:30:27

countries because China is

1:30:28

really growing from their boon and tech.

1:30:31

So it's a very complex system that I

1:30:35

don't need to go into

1:30:35

too much, but it's I try not

1:30:39

to jump on the whole like it

1:30:40

went up in price bad kind of thing.

1:30:42

I want to know why but

1:30:44

definitely Nvidia it definitely

1:30:45

feels like sometimes the

1:30:46

Nvidia just does it just a and they

1:30:49

they've kind of

1:30:49

bragged about it too before.

1:30:51

Yeah.

1:30:51

So well Nvidia is like to

1:30:52

the point where you know

1:30:54

graphics card sales to to

1:30:56

gamers is like chump change

1:31:00

right like they want to

1:31:01

sell a hundred thousand GPUs to

1:31:04

Enterprise, you know

1:31:06

server forms or whatever.

1:31:07

That's true.

1:31:08

So they might just be jacking up the

1:31:10

price because it helps

1:31:12

them on the other side rather than

1:31:14

actually are yeah like

1:31:15

there's actually a lot about that.

1:31:17

There's some news

1:31:18

articles over the years.

1:31:18

I forgot about that.

1:31:19

That's actually one of the

1:31:20

things that they some insider

1:31:23

leaks kind of stuff.

1:31:25

Once again, I don't know source wise.

1:31:27

This is more rumors than I think that

1:31:29

that's what they do.

1:31:30

And if I'm not mistaken,

1:31:30

I've read that this is also why

1:31:32

Nvidia likes to like really

1:31:34

short changes on VRAM because

1:31:36

they don't want us to have powerful

1:31:38

graphics cards to run

1:31:39

like these AI models.

1:31:41

They want us to buy the

1:31:42

really expensive Enterprise models

1:31:44

because those have way more

1:31:46

VRAM and yes, they are better

1:31:48

suited for AI but like they

1:31:50

don't want people at home to

1:31:51

be having enough VRAM to run

1:31:52

these AI models on their own

1:31:53

computers.

1:31:55

And that's why anything

1:31:56

short of like a 5090 has has like

1:31:58

16 gigs of VRAM at most.

1:32:02

Oh, we'll get it.

1:32:04

Let's just say a little sneak peek a

1:32:05

little bit later that

1:32:06

Nvidia got some.

1:32:09

They got what they deserved

1:32:11

a little bit and hopefully it

1:32:12

sticks but we can we'll

1:32:14

talk about that later.

1:32:15

Yeah in the meantime, let's

1:32:17

talk about the hundred-dollar

1:32:20

video game.

1:32:21

$100.

1:32:26

got to do it so I just added it just now.

1:32:28

So people in the games

1:32:31

industry want Grand Theft Auto 6

1:32:34

to be the first $100 video game.

1:32:38

And because let's be perfectly frank,

1:32:41

GTA 6 is going to sell

1:32:42

basically no matter what,

1:32:44

let's be honest.

1:32:47

They would not lose much

1:32:47

sales if they did $100.

1:32:49

I had a fight with, okay,

1:32:51

I know I keep talking about my stream,

1:32:52

but like I had a fight

1:32:53

with some people in my stream

1:32:53

and they're like,

1:32:54

"Well, I wouldn't pay $100."

1:32:55

I'm like, "Would you

1:32:55

buy it when it's 60?"

1:32:57

Then you're gonna buy it when it's 100.

1:32:58

You might say you're not going to,

1:33:00

but if you're so excited for this game,

1:33:02

most people will buy it at $100.

1:33:04

It doesn't matter

1:33:05

because they're excited.

1:33:06

And it might be the only

1:33:06

game they buy this year.

1:33:08

That being said, these other companies

1:33:11

that are hoping that,

1:33:13

because once one company kind

1:33:15

of does it and it does well,

1:33:17

all the other companies kind

1:33:18

of start to follow through.

1:33:19

Like that's why you

1:33:19

get the $70 price tag.

1:33:22

It's not gonna work though.

1:33:23

It is gonna fail.

1:33:25

It's gonna be horrible.

1:33:27

I hate that I'm so cynical,

1:33:30

but it's like there's so

1:33:31

much fervor in the games media

1:33:35

about this.

1:33:36

I'm wondering how much they're being paid

1:33:38

to talk about this, to see this idea,

1:33:42

because like it's, you know, dude,

1:33:47

I'm never going to buy GTA VI.

1:33:49

I'm just gonna say that out.

1:33:50

They screwed over their

1:33:53

Linux gamers on the Steam Deck

1:33:55

and I'm not gonna buy it.

1:33:58

So just on principle, but if it was $100,

1:34:02

I wouldn't buy it if I was

1:34:03

gonna buy the game anyway.

1:34:05

Like that's too much in my opinion.

1:34:07

I feel like any, well,

1:34:08

the game is very big.

1:34:10

So I actually think

1:34:12

they can justify the $100

1:34:13

and justify it.

1:34:14

I think that's fine.

1:34:15

You charge what you

1:34:16

think your game's worth,

1:34:17

and especially if it's how much you're

1:34:19

gonna get out of it.

1:34:20

But my point is I think

1:34:23

they'll lose some people

1:34:24

that won't buy it for $100,

1:34:26

but that would have bought it for 60.

1:34:28

I think most people,

1:34:29

anyone that's excited for GTA,

1:34:31

which I don't think you're

1:34:32

really that excited, right,

1:34:33

Gardiner?

1:34:34

Like I'm not really that excited.

1:34:35

I wouldn't pay $100,

1:34:36

but I wasn't gonna pay 60.

1:34:37

I was gonna wait until it dropped,

1:34:39

unless I got talked into it,

1:34:41

which you never know with me.

1:34:43

If they hadn't screwed over their fans,

1:34:46

like the Steam Deck

1:34:47

players, I would have been,

1:34:48

I wouldn't have been like you, James.

1:34:51

I would have been like,

1:34:52

I'm gonna wait for it to go on sale,

1:34:54

30 bucks maybe, 20, 28 bucks, whatever.

1:34:57

No, I don't pay full prices for games.

1:35:01

At least triple A games.

1:35:02

I'll pay a full price, like

1:35:03

20 bucks for an indie game.

1:35:06

We'll see, Half-Life 3

1:35:06

coming out this year.

1:35:07

We'll see if you do it or not.

1:35:09

Oh, well, yeah, but Half-Life.

1:35:10

Okay, all right, so

1:35:12

the main justification

1:35:14

over the years for game

1:35:15

developers raising the prices

1:35:17

and also introducing microtransactions

1:35:19

is because game development is expensive.

1:35:22

I'm not going to refute that.

1:35:24

The problem is, is that Rockstar

1:35:28

is going to make this game $100.

1:35:30

If they make this game $100,

1:35:31

they're gonna make $100,

1:35:33

but then later down the line,

1:35:34

they're gonna include fucking shark cards

1:35:35

and make the game pay to win anyways,

1:35:37

much like Grand Theft

1:35:38

Auto Online for GTA V.

1:35:44

Wait a sec, hold up, guys, hold up.

1:35:46

The game about robbing

1:35:48

people and doing theft

1:35:50

and doing things,

1:35:52

they're practicing it also

1:35:54

from their side from selling things.

1:35:57

I don't know that.

1:35:58

I'm kidding, but that's

1:35:59

what it feels like somewhat.

1:36:01

It feels like, they're

1:36:02

like, well, you bought the game,

1:36:03

you're being the

1:36:04

frickin' bad guy, essentially,

1:36:06

and then we're gonna just

1:36:07

take advantage of that, I guess.

1:36:09

Yeah, well, I mean, video

1:36:10

games don't influence anybody

1:36:11

to do anything outside of the game ever.

1:36:14

We know that for a fact, so.

1:36:17

Oh gosh, oh gosh.

1:36:21

You can't tell what

1:36:21

I'm thinking, actually.

1:36:23

We'll leave it at that.

1:36:25

It's like all of those

1:36:25

cyberpunk video games

1:36:27

and movies that are

1:36:27

all like corporation bad,

1:36:29

but they're all funded

1:36:30

by massive corporations.

1:36:33

Unless it's Disco

1:36:34

Elysium, I don't think, yeah.

1:36:38

I mean, that's how

1:36:39

creative works work, right?

1:36:40

Like books and anything that's creative

1:36:42

is gonna push limits of

1:36:43

what's in the current mainstream.

1:36:46

That's how it's worked for millennia.

1:36:51

So, people that get mad at anything

1:36:53

that's slightly

1:36:53

progressive, even if it's like,

1:36:56

oh, corporation bad, doesn't mean

1:37:00

corporations are bad,

1:37:01

but I think, yeah, that was a funny one.

1:37:06

Cyberpunk 2077 dropping and being bad,

1:37:08

about how corporations are

1:37:10

essentially bad in some way,

1:37:11

like if you wanna take it that way,

1:37:12

but then them having their shareholders

1:37:17

push for them to release it

1:37:18

before our stakeholders do,

1:37:20

before it was ready, kind of.

1:37:23

Man, that, oh my God.

1:37:26

It was so funny.

1:37:27

I still love the game though.

1:37:29

I mean, yeah, after

1:37:29

they fixed it, of course.

1:37:32

It ran great on my 3090 back then.

1:37:34

I loved, I liked it back then too.

1:37:37

Okay, the real difference

1:37:38

though is that you had a 3090,

1:37:40

out of 2070.

1:37:41

Yeah, I had a GTX Titan X.

1:37:46

Oh, okay.

1:37:49

Damn.

1:37:49

Titan X.

1:37:50

It didn't run too great.

1:37:52

I bought the PS,

1:37:53

because I was so excited,

1:37:55

I bought the PS4 version,

1:37:57

which came with an upgrade for the PS5.

1:38:01

Partially so that my

1:38:02

friend could play it too,

1:38:02

and it was bad.

1:38:07

No, no, oh my God.

1:38:10

I've seen videos of PS4 Cyberpunk.

1:38:12

It was, oh no.

1:38:16

It was, they deserved, I don't know if,

1:38:18

I think they had a class

1:38:19

action lawsuit against them.

1:38:20

They deserved that.

1:38:22

There really is like,

1:38:24

comes to a point where,

1:38:26

are you selling something that's a lie?

1:38:28

And I think more

1:38:30

marketing needs to get called out.

1:38:31

If you're marketing a

1:38:32

game to look a certain way,

1:38:33

and it does not look like that,

1:38:36

stop marketing like that, come on guys.

1:38:39

False advertising really needs to start

1:38:41

getting punished more.

1:38:45

That was an interesting game,

1:38:46

and an interesting month too,

1:38:47

just Cyberpunk came out, and then Amore.

1:38:51

Also, have you guys

1:38:52

heard of a game called Amore?

1:38:55

Yes, but I've never played it.

1:38:56

So it's like an indie, so garden,

1:38:58

it's like an indie RPG, RPG maker RPG.

1:39:01

It's inspired by

1:39:02

Earthbound and Yume Nikki.

1:39:05

I enjoyed it for what it was.

1:39:07

They came out the same month too,

1:39:08

which is kind of funny

1:39:09

too, because it's hard now.

1:39:12

But yeah, I think it's

1:39:13

kind of ballsy for a game

1:39:14

to come out the same month Cyberpunk did,

1:39:16

even if Cyberpunk kind

1:39:18

of botched the launch.

1:39:21

Dude, when GTA 6 comes out,

1:39:24

I'm really curious

1:39:25

what games are coming out,

1:39:27

and who's planning that?

1:39:28

Dude, is it gonna be shadow dropped?

1:39:31

Then all of a sudden, oh

1:39:32

man, that would be horrible.

1:39:36

I wanna see Half-Life 3 shadow drop

1:39:38

right when GTA 6 comes out,

1:39:40

just to see, I'm just curious.

1:39:43

I know GTA 6 would win, but I'm curious.

1:39:46

GTA 6 would win handily, I think, but--

1:39:49

Not--

1:39:51

I don't know.

1:39:52

Well, it's not coming

1:39:53

out on PC right now.

1:39:57

Oh, that would be

1:39:58

really interesting, too.

1:39:59

Yeah. Yeah.

1:40:00

I mean, the thing is, like,

1:40:02

if if if Half-Life dropped at $100,

1:40:06

I don't know if I would

1:40:07

buy it like Half-Life 3.

1:40:10

I mean, I did like

1:40:11

granted, I did spend $1,000

1:40:13

to get the headset to play Half-Life,

1:40:15

Alex, when it came out.

1:40:17

But that was I could justify that because

1:40:19

I could play other games with it.

1:40:20

Right. It was hardware.

1:40:22

It was more than just the game.

1:40:24

Right. And I'm struggling to say that I

1:40:26

categorically would not

1:40:28

buy Half-Life 3 for $100.

1:40:30

But it just feels wrong to me

1:40:33

to pay 100 bucks for a game.

1:40:36

Like, even even if it's like GTA 5 or 6

1:40:39

or whatever, where they spent like,

1:40:40

you know, $2 billion or whatever they're

1:40:42

spending to develop it.

1:40:43

Like that that budget feels wrong to me.

1:40:47

Like, agreed.

1:40:49

Like, it's so excessive

1:40:52

and it doesn't need to be that way when

1:40:54

you can make really great games

1:40:57

that I think personally that I find more

1:40:59

fun than a game like GTA

1:41:01

for for like fractions of that budget.

1:41:04

It's like you it's not justifiable.

1:41:08

And it's well, here's the thing.

1:41:10

I think it is.

1:41:12

I think it's unjustifiable

1:41:13

when it becomes a standard.

1:41:14

I actually much rather have a more

1:41:16

variable rate instead of being like,

1:41:18

oh, like on PS5, there's kids games will

1:41:21

come out at 60 where I'm like,

1:41:22

no, this is legit is a $20 game when it

1:41:24

comes out like is why?

1:41:26

Just because they can, because that's the

1:41:27

standard when it releases.

1:41:29

There needs to be a variable rate.

1:41:31

I don't mind paying $100.

1:41:34

Let's say $120.

1:41:35

I don't mind if Witcher 4 was $120.

1:41:38

But all the future DLC that if it's just

1:41:41

like Witcher 3 and it

1:41:42

has really good DLC,

1:41:44

all the future DLC and

1:41:45

everything is included.

1:41:46

There's no like microtransactions or

1:41:48

anything like and they

1:41:49

think it's worth that.

1:41:50

And I'm going to get

1:41:50

two hundred hours again.

1:41:52

I'm going to pay that price.

1:41:53

Yeah, that's where and

1:41:55

how big is their budget?

1:41:57

And some games just

1:41:58

require a bigger budget.

1:41:59

I don't like this arbitrary try to

1:42:01

squeeze as much out.

1:42:03

Fire the developers

1:42:04

afterwards instead of retaining them.

1:42:06

Like I want ethical

1:42:09

reasons for a hundred dollars.

1:42:12

Yeah. Are you going to

1:42:13

retain your developers?

1:42:14

Are you going to do the ethical thing?

1:42:16

Is it going to

1:42:16

trickle down to developers?

1:42:18

What is going on?

1:42:20

That's for me.

1:42:21

I don't think most people are going to

1:42:22

think that way, though.

1:42:23

You know what, though, I

1:42:24

actually agree with that.

1:42:26

And the thing that is interesting is like

1:42:28

they're already selling

1:42:29

games for one hundred dollars.

1:42:31

Right. It's like they have the deluxe

1:42:32

editions and the, you know, ultra deluxe

1:42:35

season pass edition

1:42:36

and all this other crap.

1:42:38

And they don't get you much.

1:42:39

No, it doesn't offer anything extra,

1:42:42

really of value, in my opinion.

1:42:44

And it's like, I don't know.

1:42:47

Just to arbitrarily set the new standard

1:42:49

and say games aren't 60, they're a

1:42:51

hundred dollars now.

1:42:52

It just that's that's what I'm really

1:42:54

feeling so negative towards this, you

1:42:58

know, because of it's just going to let

1:43:00

everyone else do it.

1:43:01

So I will say a lot of people for so.

1:43:05

A lot of companies are going to want to

1:43:07

jack up the prices of their games if GTA

1:43:10

six actually does make it a standard.

1:43:12

You know, the hundred dollar video game

1:43:14

because get this a lot of we don't get we

1:43:17

don't see it this way, but a lot of

1:43:19

regular consumers see like the difference

1:43:22

between a 60 dollar and

1:43:23

a 70 dollar video game.

1:43:24

They think the 60 dollar video game is

1:43:26

worse, therefore it has less value.

1:43:29

Right. So we're going to see a lot of

1:43:30

that happening because, you know, a lot

1:43:33

of a lot of people are going to see that,

1:43:35

you know, they they have a game and they

1:43:37

want people to play it.

1:43:38

But if it's like 70 dollars instead of

1:43:41

100 dollars, people are going to think

1:43:42

it's worse and

1:43:43

they're not going to buy it.

1:43:44

So they have to jack it

1:43:44

up to let people buy it.

1:43:46

So because, you know, so they can say

1:43:48

that it's a high quality

1:43:49

product or whatever. Right.

1:43:51

Potentially, I think

1:43:52

that would have a revert.

1:43:53

Like, honestly, I think that would have

1:43:54

like in today's world of YouTube reviews

1:43:57

with a lot of information.

1:44:00

I think that would have

1:44:00

worked back in the 90s and 2000s.

1:44:03

I think nowadays I don't

1:44:04

know if that actually worked.

1:44:05

And I think once let's say if G.T.

1:44:09

Six does release 100 dollars and everyone

1:44:11

else tries, I think they're going to be

1:44:13

woefully mistaken on that price and

1:44:17

they're going to get screwed over.

1:44:18

And then they're just going to blame

1:44:19

developers or the consumers once again,

1:44:22

like Ubisoft and EA are

1:44:23

just going to blame them.

1:44:25

Well, shit, man. Blame them if they want.

1:44:27

But the consumers did

1:44:28

destroy Ubisoft and EA after all.

1:44:31

Also, one more thing, too, is that I feel

1:44:33

like if it becomes a standard, we can see

1:44:35

indie games rise in price, too, which I

1:44:37

mean is not necessarily a bad thing

1:44:39

because, you know, some of these

1:44:40

developers do deserve more money.

1:44:43

Would you pay 60 dollars for Bellato?

1:44:45

I don't know, maybe would you?

1:44:48

So inflation is a thing

1:44:49

we've got to remember.

1:44:51

I've mentioned this multiple times.

1:44:53

Inflation is a thing is we've the amount

1:44:56

of inflation that's

1:44:57

happened since it's been

1:44:59

the price has gone up to 60 dollars.

1:45:01

It's quite a bit. We

1:45:02

should be paying more.

1:45:04

That being said, what

1:45:05

is the development cost?

1:45:07

What are people still willing to pay that

1:45:08

still like there's such a big market of

1:45:11

games like you think these companies that

1:45:14

are starting to realize that they need to

1:45:16

be competitive again.

1:45:19

Then you might have to drive some of

1:45:20

those prices down potentially even.

1:45:22

So so I will say like, yes, games, even

1:45:25

back in like the Super Nintendo days used

1:45:27

to be 60 dollars, which I think should be

1:45:29

like 150 dollars right now

1:45:31

if taking the calculation.

1:45:33

But also the gaming market has gotten a

1:45:35

lot bigger since then.

1:45:37

There's way more gamers

1:45:38

now than there are game.

1:45:39

There were gamers like back in the 90s.

1:45:41

Right. So that also helped like to like

1:45:43

reduce the prices of video

1:45:45

games or just keep them the same.

1:45:46

You know, 60 dollars

1:45:47

instead of Jack and Michael.

1:45:48

But I think it's going

1:45:49

to be like 150 dollars.

1:45:51

I don't think anyone would buy a video

1:45:52

game for 150 dollars

1:45:53

if that were the case.

1:45:55

Well, the other thing with the Super

1:45:57

Nintendo and 64 and even this base games

1:46:01

was there was an overhead for

1:46:02

manufacturing, which you

1:46:03

don't have now for the most part.

1:46:05

I mean, the switch games do have it, but

1:46:07

you can release it digitally and

1:46:08

digitally still has overhead.

1:46:11

It can still be more

1:46:12

expensive than people realize.

1:46:13

But it is not it is

1:46:15

not the same in any way.

1:46:18

It is much cheaper. Yeah, absolutely.

1:46:22

Yeah, I don't know. Is there anything

1:46:24

else we want to touch on with that story?

1:46:26

I I know that this is very difficult.

1:46:29

It's not even a divisive thing.

1:46:30

You know, most gamers

1:46:31

don't want to pay 100 dollars.

1:46:33

Yeah. But what people say and what they

1:46:35

do, especially if it's GTA

1:46:36

six, I think is going to be.

1:46:39

Honestly, I just if someone wants to

1:46:41

chase six enough,

1:46:42

they're going to buy it.

1:46:43

I think it's going to happen.

1:46:45

And I think GTA six is going to succeed.

1:46:49

But the only way to prevent this feature

1:46:50

is for GTA six to fail.

1:46:53

And that's practically

1:46:54

impossible at this point.

1:46:57

I would love it if GTA six failed.

1:46:59

Honestly, I kind of

1:47:00

would be here for that, too.

1:47:02

And that's going to get a lot of hate.

1:47:03

But I don't know for it.

1:47:05

Dude, that would that has to be a

1:47:06

headliner if that ever happens.

1:47:09

The that would be so

1:47:10

that would be so crazy.

1:47:12

Can you even preorder GTA six right now?

1:47:16

Because you know, you make GTA six fail

1:47:18

is you go on and post an expression

1:47:20

about how, you know, the

1:47:22

eye or something in the game.

1:47:24

I'm I'm already seeing that.

1:47:25

I'm I see that.

1:47:27

I've already seen it, too.

1:47:28

Oh, really? I was joking.

1:47:30

I don't go out there.

1:47:32

Yeah, there's there's D.I.

1:47:34

hires in the video game.

1:47:35

You can you can watch the trailer.

1:47:37

Oh, geez.

1:47:38

There's non white people in it.

1:47:40

Oh, that's it's gotten that bad.

1:47:42

It's gotten that bad. I'm sorry.

1:47:44

I try not to get

1:47:45

political, but like it like I do.

1:47:46

Well, I do get political, but I try not

1:47:48

to get too political on here

1:47:48

because I know it gets really heated.

1:47:51

But it's already happened.

1:47:53

Just enjoy games, guys.

1:47:54

Enjoy diversity.

1:47:55

This is based in Miami, which

1:47:56

is a very diverse city. Yeah.

1:47:59

Very diverse. Vice City, Miami.

1:48:03

Sorry, Vice City.

1:48:05

My city, right. Yeah.

1:48:06

All right.

1:48:08

Let's talk about let's talk about the

1:48:09

Sony leadership kerfuffle

1:48:11

that's happening right now.

1:48:14

So Hideaki, is it Hideaki Nishino

1:48:18

and Herman Hulst were both CEOs.

1:48:21

They were co CEOs of Sony

1:48:22

Interactive Entertainment.

1:48:24

And now Nishino is

1:48:25

the the sole CEO of SEI.

1:48:30

He was going on.

1:48:31

So it's as you said,

1:48:34

Hulst is now serving as the CEO of the

1:48:36

the studio business group.

1:48:39

But he'll still be he'll still be helping

1:48:41

their first party studios.

1:48:44

But he reports a Nishino now rather than

1:48:46

being, you know, co CEOs,

1:48:49

which emotion.

1:48:51

I mean, it sounds like

1:48:52

an emotion, to be honest.

1:48:53

I can tell you what this actually means

1:48:55

of practice, because I'm not a Sony.

1:48:57

I'm not a Sony C-suite,

1:49:00

but it seems like there's some

1:49:03

dissatisfaction with

1:49:04

what's going on with SEI.

1:49:08

And I mean, and with

1:49:10

what was a sixth field

1:49:12

live services that got

1:49:14

canceled or some shit like that?

1:49:16

I mean, shit, man.

1:49:18

So was the Herman the one

1:49:19

that was over the live services?

1:49:21

Was he the one that was

1:49:22

pushing for that then?

1:49:23

So I'm assuming

1:49:23

shareholders probably demoted him.

1:49:27

I believe the

1:49:27

initiative started with Jim Ryan,

1:49:29

who, as we know, no longer works at Sony.

1:49:33

Right. But he but Herman

1:49:34

Hulst kept kept going with it.

1:49:38

And I believe Herman Hulst is also was

1:49:40

also from Gorilla Games.

1:49:42

So it kind of also

1:49:43

explains why Sony is pushing.

1:49:45

It kind of explains why Sony is trying to

1:49:46

push Horizons so much,

1:49:48

because, like, you know,

1:49:50

it's probably his baby.

1:49:53

Gorilla Games is a good studio.

1:49:54

I want them to make

1:49:55

Killswitch, not Killswitch.

1:49:58

Killzone. Killzone.

1:50:00

It's not. Can you

1:50:00

believe it's crazy, man?

1:50:03

Killzone is a universe people like.

1:50:06

I mean, back in the day, it was just

1:50:07

regard as a Halo killer.

1:50:09

But then now we're getting reports that

1:50:11

made that Halo may be

1:50:12

coming to PlayStation 5.

1:50:14

Like, could you imagine getting a Halo on

1:50:17

PS5 before getting a PS5?

1:50:18

Killzone.

1:50:22

Dude, go back and play Killzone for PS4.

1:50:25

It still looks good.

1:50:26

I am shocked how much they were able to

1:50:28

pull out of that game

1:50:29

and how optimized it was.

1:50:31

But yeah, I don't I don't know.

1:50:34

Halo is kind of a

1:50:35

dead series to me. Yeah.

1:50:38

I agree with that. Yeah.

1:50:39

It's sad that Halo has been bad longer

1:50:41

than it's been good.

1:50:44

Honestly, there's a lot of truth to that.

1:50:46

It is. Oh, no. Don't do this.

1:50:48

Cindy, we're going to

1:50:50

get more Xbox Hater covers.

1:50:52

All right. Well, here's the thing.

1:50:54

There's Xbox does a lot of well, they own

1:50:55

tons of good stuff now. But

1:51:01

I've never been the biggest Halo fan.

1:51:03

It's only fun when you

1:51:04

play with other people for me.

1:51:06

Yeah, I mean, I really loved

1:51:07

the story of Halo 1, 2 and 3.

1:51:10

And Reach, Reach was awesome.

1:51:13

I loved the story. I'm a huge Halo fan.

1:51:16

Reach. Yeah, Reach was good.

1:51:18

A couple of their stories were good.

1:51:19

The original trilogy.

1:51:21

The original trilogy, I believe some of

1:51:23

the greatest in game, to be honest.

1:51:25

I mean, yeah, I'm not a

1:51:29

big story opposite on this.

1:51:30

I'm a big story guy.

1:51:32

And I feel like Gordon

1:51:34

Freeman, not talking at all,

1:51:35

has more story in Half-Life

1:51:36

than Halo, like interesting,

1:51:38

which I find interesting.

1:51:39

I actually like both of them on. Yeah.

1:51:43

Like on a similar

1:51:44

level. Right. But like, yeah.

1:51:46

But the fact is, like

1:51:49

Half-Life story was kind of like

1:51:52

added on after they had

1:51:53

built most of the game.

1:51:54

And that's how it's been

1:51:55

for every Half-Life game.

1:51:57

And and Halo approached

1:52:00

it from story almost first,

1:52:02

as far as I understand it.

1:52:03

And so I don't know.

1:52:04

I appreciate them both for what they are.

1:52:07

And I like the

1:52:08

storytelling in Half-Life more

1:52:10

because I don't like having cut scenes

1:52:12

and getting my control

1:52:13

pulled away from me when I'm playing.

1:52:15

That's fair. But yeah,

1:52:17

I just don't think this.

1:52:18

So Halo was revolutionary for its time.

1:52:21

I think it did a good

1:52:21

job. Like I liked it.

1:52:24

But it's just I feel like it was missing

1:52:28

some rudimentary things.

1:52:30

It was very confusing at times.

1:52:33

They didn't they confused

1:52:34

more than expanded on stuff.

1:52:38

The cut scenes didn't help with that.

1:52:39

I feel like they made it

1:52:40

more confusing sometimes.

1:52:41

But yeah, to be fair, Halo 2 story

1:52:45

was only half of what they initially

1:52:47

planned because Halo 2

1:52:49

has a really famous

1:52:50

development health cycle.

1:52:52

You can read all about it, too.

1:52:54

There's so there's so much that they had

1:52:56

to like redo and revamp and recycle.

1:53:01

There's so much of that.

1:53:02

It's a miracle that the game is even like

1:53:04

considered like a nine out of ten.

1:53:07

Yeah, a great story was supposed to be

1:53:09

basically all of Halo 2 and 3.

1:53:12

So yeah, like and so they had

1:53:15

to cut it in half basically.

1:53:17

But yeah, I mean, I don't know.

1:53:20

See, my kind of like I my one of my

1:53:22

favorite stories in games.

1:53:24

I'm just going to go

1:53:24

off complete tangent.

1:53:26

But like Bioshock is like

1:53:27

one of the greatest stories.

1:53:30

I agree with that. I

1:53:31

actually agree with that.

1:53:34

Which Bioshock?

1:53:36

Bioshock one. Infant, it's pretty good,

1:53:38

too, but I like

1:53:39

Bioshock one a little more.

1:53:41

I saw something interesting where I

1:53:44

remember when Bioshock came out,

1:53:46

it was getting rave reviews and now all

1:53:48

of a sudden people fucking hate the game.

1:53:50

It's crazy how like

1:53:51

quickly they turned on it.

1:53:54

Which one, Bioshock? Infinite?

1:53:56

Infinite, yes, infinite.

1:53:57

Not Bioshock one.

1:53:57

It's a it's really weird.

1:53:59

Yeah, because I really liked Infinite.

1:54:01

I thought it was an amazing game.

1:54:02

I really like how they turned it from

1:54:03

deep down to in the sky.

1:54:06

I really love that.

1:54:08

I don't know. I need to go back.

1:54:09

I haven't played it since I played it

1:54:11

since I beat it the first time.

1:54:14

I loved it, though.

1:54:15

I thought it was good.

1:54:16

It's one of my favorite favorite titles.

1:54:19

But, you know, going back to the Halo

1:54:21

thing, the story in Halo.

1:54:23

The only thing you need is

1:54:24

the visuals and the music.

1:54:26

And that tells the whole story to me.

1:54:28

Yeah, I personally agree.

1:54:29

I do agree. Yeah.

1:54:31

I just think my problem is that Halo has

1:54:34

so many good workings in it.

1:54:36

I love the concept of the Halo.

1:54:38

Yeah, the planetary system, right?

1:54:41

Artificial planet, essentially.

1:54:43

I like a lot of the stuff

1:54:44

that they were going for.

1:54:45

And I just felt like

1:54:45

it was very dumb down.

1:54:48

To in my opinion, I don't

1:54:50

feel like they went really.

1:54:52

Complicated for why anything was why it

1:54:55

was like it just didn't for me.

1:54:58

So while I say the storytelling is very

1:55:01

like all over the place

1:55:03

and doesn't explain things well enough,

1:55:05

other times it just doesn't.

1:55:08

It could like, I don't know, I felt like

1:55:11

it could have been more fleshed out.

1:55:11

But for the time, it was really good.

1:55:13

Like, don't get me wrong.

1:55:14

I won't dive into this much more, but I

1:55:16

think for its time, it was good.

1:55:19

It's just I think I have a

1:55:22

little bit of a taint of like

1:55:23

playing Half-Life or playing some other

1:55:25

games where that was just my fixation

1:55:28

and how I liked my delivery

1:55:30

of games or Final Fantasy.

1:55:32

Like I played tons of like

1:55:33

really story heavy games.

1:55:35

So yeah, I understand.

1:55:38

Yeah, so I think Halo's biggest success

1:55:40

was like the presentation because yeah,

1:55:43

the story on paper doesn't sound that

1:55:46

like unique or interesting.

1:55:49

But like the cutscene,

1:55:50

like Halo 2's cutscenes,

1:55:52

they had some like actual

1:55:53

cinematography going on there.

1:55:55

So much so that like the remastered

1:55:57

version of Halo 2,

1:55:59

the anniversary edition,

1:56:01

they basically just use the same

1:56:02

cinematography, but like upgraded

1:56:03

the graphics and like,

1:56:04

the fix and all that stuff.

1:56:06

So it's like I don't

1:56:07

it's not nearly one to one,

1:56:09

but the idea is like

1:56:11

nearly one to one, so to speak.

1:56:13

It's yeah. Yeah.

1:56:14

It like elevates them.

1:56:16

It makes it like look real nice like.

1:56:20

I don't know.

1:56:21

It's definitely more of a remake than a

1:56:22

remap or more of a remake

1:56:24

than like a like a redo.

1:56:26

Yeah, yeah, that's that's fair.

1:56:28

That's fair.

1:56:30

Halo.

1:56:31

Yeah, I mean, what we're talking about.

1:56:34

We were talking about Sony's leadership

1:56:36

and we got off on Halo.

1:56:37

Yeah, that's what we want

1:56:38

to talk about all the time.

1:56:40

But but I mean, the thing is that kind of

1:56:43

leads us to our next story.

1:56:45

Microsoft's bringing Halo to everything

1:56:46

and the Moon Studios CEO

1:56:49

believes Sony is going to follow

1:56:50

Microsoft's example.

1:56:52

What do we think about this high tech?

1:56:55

So for those who don't know, Moon Studios

1:56:57

is the guy are the guys behind

1:56:59

or in the blind forest and the sequel.

1:57:01

And most recently, no

1:57:04

rest for the wicked.

1:57:06

And so. They have they had a relationship

1:57:10

with Microsoft, of

1:57:11

course, with the Ori games.

1:57:14

So I am kind of believe

1:57:15

that's a little biased.

1:57:17

Another new list game is on everything,

1:57:19

and it's not like Microsoft published.

1:57:21

But I do think it

1:57:22

might be a little biased.

1:57:23

I'm not sure if Sony will

1:57:24

push everything on Xbox.

1:57:28

I don't know if they'll

1:57:28

even put anything on Xbox.

1:57:30

So they have they had a set up to like,

1:57:33

you know, death stranding.

1:57:34

You know, that's how you

1:57:35

know how that's on G force now.

1:57:38

So I don't know if this has changed, but

1:57:40

death stranding at one point

1:57:41

was on G force now because it was on PC

1:57:43

and you can you can access G force now

1:57:47

on Xbox, except for that one game.

1:57:51

Except for death stranding,

1:57:54

because Sony mandated it, sir,

1:57:56

because they didn't want people to play

1:57:57

death stranding on an Xbox,

1:57:59

even though it was a PC version that was

1:58:00

published by someone else.

1:58:03

So I'm inclined to believe

1:58:04

that this is not the case.

1:58:06

I think new studios might be wrong.

1:58:09

Yeah, I mean, Sony, I think Sony

1:58:12

understands the importance of having

1:58:16

exclusives for their platform as a as a

1:58:18

driver for their for the

1:58:20

sales of their hardware.

1:58:21

And I don't know if they

1:58:23

would like completely abandon

1:58:26

exclusive with the way Microsoft has.

1:58:29

Everything can't be an Xbox and a

1:58:31

PlayStation at the same time, right?

1:58:34

Right. It has to be one or the other.

1:58:38

I think we're getting

1:58:40

into a world where it's all

1:58:43

companies feel like I say the same thing

1:58:46

every week, potentially.

1:58:47

The companies have to

1:58:48

keep on making money, right?

1:58:49

So every year they need

1:58:50

to make more and more.

1:58:52

So if they can't

1:58:53

reach that, they're going.

1:58:54

That's why they put I think that's why

1:58:55

Sony started putting PlayStation games

1:58:57

on Steam is because they need

1:59:00

to keep on making more money

1:59:02

and keep increasing like how much they

1:59:04

make for their shareholders.

1:59:07

And I think that's why they did it.

1:59:08

So I would not be shocked in 10 years if

1:59:11

people even know what a console is.

1:59:14

A traditional console.

1:59:16

So I mean, yeah, the

1:59:18

thing is, I think Sony,

1:59:19

I think Sony would definitely

1:59:23

like publish all of their first party

1:59:25

games on PC and console.

1:59:28

But I don't think they're

1:59:30

going to do what Xbox is doing

1:59:31

where they get rid of their console or or

1:59:34

just like not treated

1:59:35

as like a first class

1:59:36

citizen in their lineup.

1:59:37

You know, I just don't see that happening

1:59:39

at least anytime soon.

1:59:42

Hardware wise, for sure, like the like we

1:59:43

talked about last week,

1:59:44

the PS5 controller is amazing.

1:59:48

And so I definitely wouldn't want to see

1:59:50

them go away from that.

1:59:51

And I'd like to see that initiative, but

1:59:53

I do like to also see them open up more

1:59:56

and to have like make sure

1:59:58

that this just works anywhere

1:59:59

that their game is, that this works.

2:00:02

And I think that'd be a

2:00:03

huge initiative for them.

2:00:05

And then they could eventually

2:00:07

diverse out of consoles if they really

2:00:08

wanted to and still

2:00:09

have like a solid hardware.

2:00:11

Yeah. But like I want

2:00:13

to see consoles start

2:00:15

taking risks again to where it's like,

2:00:18

why do I buy the like it's

2:00:20

right now, you're just buying

2:00:21

a PC with a very powerful APU.

2:00:25

That's what you're buying

2:00:26

right now when you get console and

2:00:29

and develop like and for

2:00:31

developers, like they have an SDK,

2:00:33

like a really good SDK to work off of and

2:00:36

can guarantee performance

2:00:37

for a certain level beyond that.

2:00:40

Consoles don't offer anything else.

2:00:44

It feels like especially Xbox, Xbox just

2:00:46

doesn't offer anything.

2:00:48

No. So here's something here's something

2:00:50

I want to talk about.

2:00:52

So Sony, as you know, Sony has been

2:00:54

releasing games on PC,

2:00:55

but they usually release them

2:00:56

in like a two year interval.

2:00:58

Like the original God of War PS4 came out

2:01:00

and then two years later,

2:01:02

it came out on PC.

2:01:05

So now my question is, do you

2:01:07

see them shortening that gap

2:01:08

or maybe even releasing them on day one?

2:01:10

Because I mean, I've seen

2:01:12

him shorten the gap already.

2:01:13

Like it didn't they didn't wait two years

2:01:15

to release Spider-Man 2 on PC.

2:01:22

I could see them shortening the gap, but

2:01:23

right now I don't know.

2:01:24

I don't know if they will,

2:01:25

but I could see them doing it.

2:01:28

Yeah. I said last week.

2:01:30

I'm sorry. I think I

2:01:31

think the thing is like if you

2:01:35

don't release your game day one on PC,

2:01:38

you're telling PC gamers to wait.

2:01:40

Right. Like if you have a PlayStation

2:01:43

and an X and a PC, you know, if I did,

2:01:47

then I would wait for the PC version and

2:01:49

I would I would wait.

2:01:50

And if you make them wait too long,

2:01:52

they're just going to wait

2:01:52

for a sale at that point.

2:01:54

Yep. So I don't know.

2:01:56

I think it makes a lot of

2:01:58

sense for them to shorten the gap

2:01:59

because they're going to have their

2:02:00

dedicated hardware guys that

2:02:02

only play on on PlayStation.

2:02:04

And then they're going

2:02:05

to have their PC sales.

2:02:07

And I think that that's

2:02:08

that would be their smart move.

2:02:11

And so now.

2:02:13

D would you buy Astrobond PC, James?

2:02:20

Yes, but I honestly might still would

2:02:22

have bought it on PlayStation 5 first

2:02:25

because, well, it doesn't have co-op.

2:02:29

That's true.

2:02:30

Because if it has co-op, then I'm almost

2:02:32

guaranteed to get it on console

2:02:33

because it's just easier to deal with.

2:02:35

Oh, damn, that is a

2:02:36

that is a benefit. Yeah.

2:02:39

It's just easier, like with my kids and

2:02:41

stuff, it's just going to be easier.

2:02:42

And they've been enjoying the PS5 lately

2:02:44

a lot more, which is nice

2:02:45

because it was

2:02:45

collecting dust for like a year.

2:02:48

But I mean, for certain games, yeah, like

2:02:50

I have I own Ratchet and Clank,

2:02:52

the new one, the Rift, the Rift one.

2:02:56

I have not beat it.

2:02:57

I want to play it on PS5, but then I want

2:02:59

to play it on the Steam Deck.

2:03:00

And so I'm like.

2:03:02

But I haven't bought it for the Steam

2:03:03

Deck yet, but I'm kind of like,

2:03:05

you know, I definitely play that game

2:03:08

where if I know, especially if it's like

2:03:14

GTA six, right, I might buy it day one

2:03:18

for the PS6 if I get talked into it.

2:03:21

But there's a good chance I'll just wait

2:03:22

for the PC if I really want to get it.

2:03:24

Like because mods and everything else,

2:03:26

like why would I not get it for the PC?

2:03:31

Yeah. And buying a PC game just to me

2:03:34

feels like a better investment, like I'll

2:03:36

be able to play it longer on newer

2:03:38

hardware when I upgrade.

2:03:40

Yeah. How do you own the game forever

2:03:42

and not have to worry about if the game's

2:03:44

going to be backwards compatible?

2:03:46

I mean, it depends on

2:03:47

where you buy it from.

2:03:48

But yeah, for the most part,

2:03:50

it's well with a little CD

2:03:53

key kind of a little magic.

2:03:56

With a little magic, it can be forever.

2:04:00

Oh, yeah.

2:04:02

And you can burn it to your own CDs too

2:04:04

or Blu-rays or whatever.

2:04:07

Floppy disk, I mean, I'm

2:04:08

an 80 80 floppy disk person.

2:04:10

Did how many floppy disks around here?

2:04:12

Did how many floppy disks will it take to

2:04:13

store a single like 100 gig game?

2:04:17

Have a call duty.

2:04:19

Oh, God. All right.

2:04:20

We got to do the math right now.

2:04:22

What is the biggest floppy?

2:04:23

You'll see the biggest

2:04:24

one point four or five.

2:04:26

One point four or four

2:04:27

megabytes for a normal.

2:04:29

And then you can jam like a a

2:04:31

density, a higher density one

2:04:33

that was less than one like two eight, I

2:04:35

think you do zip one for four.

2:04:38

For me, I did.

2:04:40

Yeah, dude, that was such a big deal.

2:04:42

So let's see.

2:04:48

So one point four four megabytes is zero

2:04:51

point zero zero one four four gigabytes.

2:04:53

OK. And let's see how

2:04:56

let's see how many copies of.

2:04:58

Let's see how many disks it would take to

2:05:00

store, say, 300 gigabytes for call duty.

2:05:05

You're crazy.

2:05:07

So it would take if my math is correct, I

2:05:09

did 300 divided by zero point zero zero

2:05:11

one four four, it would take

2:05:13

approximately two hundred

2:05:15

and eight thousand three

2:05:17

hundred thirty three point three three

2:05:19

three three three

2:05:19

three three three three.

2:05:21

Floppy disks to store war zone.

2:05:25

You got to round that up.

2:05:26

But yeah, that's funny.

2:05:28

No, I don't want to I don't want to like

2:05:30

have to sift through disk two hundred

2:05:32

and eighty thousand or whatever.

2:05:34

Please insert this two

2:05:35

hundred and eighty thousand.

2:05:36

How long? OK.

2:05:37

How long would it be to copy it?

2:05:39

Because I know some companies have done

2:05:40

like little weird things like this.

2:05:42

But like how long

2:05:43

would it take to copy that?

2:05:45

Is there like a is there like a is there

2:05:47

like a NASA equivalent

2:05:48

for like floppy disks?

2:05:52

I don't know.

2:05:54

Like is there like is there like a USB

2:05:56

dongle that lets you put in like 20

2:05:58

floppy disks and just read

2:06:00

those one big one big one.

2:06:02

It wouldn't make sense, but you could you

2:06:05

could read something.

2:06:06

You could probably do

2:06:07

100 per 10 minutes down.

2:06:10

Wait a minute. How how many was it?

2:06:13

How many how many copies?

2:06:16

You would need about two hundred thousand

2:06:18

two hundred and eight thousand

2:06:21

floppy disks, two

2:06:22

hundred and eight thousand.

2:06:23

A little more than that, actually, but I

2:06:24

don't know the exact number.

2:06:26

It's you can round it up at that.

2:06:29

And then multiply that by.

2:06:32

So that would cost for

2:06:33

one copy of the game.

2:06:35

It would cost approximately five hundred

2:06:38

and eighty two million dollars

2:06:40

if you bought them, if you

2:06:41

bought the disks at retail.

2:06:43

See this. Oh, my God.

2:06:47

This is a feature Rockstar

2:06:48

wants where we spend five hundred

2:06:51

and something million

2:06:51

dollars on a single copy.

2:06:53

I was wondering why I was wondering where

2:06:55

they were starting to buy

2:06:55

like investments in

2:06:57

floppy disk technology.

2:06:59

Right. Oh, here we go.

2:07:01

Two oh eight. Oh, my gosh.

2:07:03

This is this is like our

2:07:04

biggest tangent episode yet.

2:07:07

But you know, it's fun. I'm here for it.

2:07:09

Dude, time. Ninety nine

2:07:11

dollars and ninety nine cents.

2:07:13

Yeah. OK. So if you buy them in bulk,

2:07:16

you can get you can get it for four

2:07:17

hundred and fifteen.

2:07:19

Oh, I'm sorry. That's four

2:07:20

hundred and fifteen thousand.

2:07:21

I read that wrong. It was five hundred

2:07:23

and eighty two thousand.

2:07:25

OK, so that's OK.

2:07:27

That's a lot. OK.

2:07:28

You might be able to afford that.

2:07:30

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

2:07:32

You can buy that out. Yeah.

2:07:34

Just sell your house.

2:07:36

So dude. Oh, yeah, man.

2:07:40

So PlayStation games on PC.

2:07:42

Thank God. Thank God

2:07:45

we have fucking drives

2:07:47

that are like more than a megabyte.

2:07:49

Hmm. Yep. Technology

2:07:52

keeps on getting better.

2:07:53

Yeah. Um, speaking of

2:07:55

playing games indefinitely,

2:07:59

PlayStation drops PSN

2:08:01

account requirements on PC.

2:08:03

How do we feel about this? Good. Yeah.

2:08:07

I feel good. It didn't bother me too

2:08:09

much, but it was still annoying.

2:08:11

And especially for

2:08:12

long term reasons, right?

2:08:14

Like sometimes games when they

2:08:17

slap that on there in like 10 years,

2:08:19

maybe they don't support the PSN network

2:08:21

in such a way anymore.

2:08:22

And it stops working Microsoft.

2:08:25

And this is actually coming from.

2:08:29

I got a lot of this information from.

2:08:33

I think it was the age

2:08:33

of you steam deck HQ.

2:08:36

So go over there and look at

2:08:38

that article that he has up.

2:08:40

But no, that is. But yeah, PlayStation

2:08:43

initially required a PlayStation Network

2:08:44

PSN account for PC games like

2:08:46

Helldivers 2 restricting

2:08:47

purchases in over 170 countries,

2:08:49

which that one was a

2:08:50

crazy when it dropped.

2:08:52

They could pissed a lot of people off.

2:08:54

That dropped about almost a year ago.

2:08:56

While they removed this requirement for

2:08:57

Helldivers 2, the restriction remained.

2:08:59

They had to because

2:09:00

they were going to do it.

2:09:02

Because I don't think it

2:09:03

didn't not ship with it.

2:09:04

It didn't ship with the requirement.

2:09:05

Then they were going

2:09:06

to require it pissed.

2:09:10

Thousands of people off returns occurred

2:09:12

like it was such a dumb mistake.

2:09:15

And I wasn't sure if they

2:09:16

were going to revert it.

2:09:16

They did revert it like this says.

2:09:18

And then however, PlayStation has now

2:09:21

reversed this policy

2:09:22

for upcoming releases

2:09:23

like are they released, meaning they're

2:09:26

continuing to not require PSN

2:09:30

now on games where it previously was like

2:09:32

God of War Ragnarok,

2:09:33

The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Zero Dawn

2:09:35

Remastered, Marvel Spider-Man 2,

2:09:37

making account linking optional and

2:09:40

offering in-game rewards instead,

2:09:41

which I'm fine with

2:09:42

them going right this way.

2:09:43

If they want to incentivize for them to

2:09:45

use their system, go for it.

2:09:47

But I'm already using Steam and you can

2:09:49

I'm already can save my saves

2:09:52

and a bunch of other

2:09:53

things through there.

2:09:54

Do the trophy program through there.

2:09:55

I don't like some PC players just don't

2:09:59

ever want to have a PlayStation account.

2:10:01

They don't care.

2:10:03

Me personally, I mean, I play both.

2:10:05

I've had PlayStation stuff forever, so it

2:10:08

doesn't bother me as much.

2:10:09

But sometimes on the Steam Deck, it's

2:10:11

really annoying when

2:10:12

that PSN thing pops up.

2:10:14

Yeah. Well, and like for me, I don't I

2:10:17

don't think I've ever played

2:10:18

a PlayStation game that's required it.

2:10:21

But the thing is, I have played Xbox

2:10:25

games that require you to log in.

2:10:27

And it's like, yeah.

2:10:29

And it's like I'm on

2:10:29

my Steam Deck and I take

2:10:33

password security very seriously.

2:10:35

Right. So I'm I'm in a

2:10:37

full screen application.

2:10:39

I don't have access to the keyboard, the

2:10:42

clipboard to copy and

2:10:44

paste my password in.

2:10:45

Oh, gosh, dude, I'm like literally I'm

2:10:48

not going to play Xbox games

2:10:51

because like I'm not going to type in a

2:10:53

70 character password or whatever.

2:10:55

Jesus. You log into my account.

2:10:57

You're ready for that.

2:10:58

I and super computer.

2:11:01

What is it?

2:11:02

The quantum computer got

2:11:04

your quantum passwords out.

2:11:06

Damn. That's a yeah.

2:11:07

Yeah, I hear you on that one.

2:11:11

The other thing about this is that

2:11:12

PlayStation, if there are

2:11:14

if there's one video game company that I

2:11:17

don't trust, it's PlayStation.

2:11:19

But it's just a history

2:11:22

of of like poor security

2:11:25

and like data breaches for for like

2:11:28

literally the last 20 years.

2:11:29

Yeah. You know, I

2:11:31

don't trust them with that.

2:11:32

I take a different stance.

2:11:34

I trust them because I

2:11:34

know it will get leaked.

2:11:36

That's why I always have a

2:11:37

separate password for them.

2:11:39

Maybe I'm even might even well, actually,

2:11:41

technically, I have my old

2:11:42

Yahoo email with them and

2:11:44

I don't use anywhere else.

2:11:45

So like I'm pretty secure.

2:11:47

I know that it's going to leak on

2:11:48

PlayStation, so I'm

2:11:49

pretty prepared for that.

2:11:52

So where the opposite is you get to

2:11:54

assure using GitHub or something else

2:11:56

and you're like, I will never leak, which

2:11:58

I think at this point,

2:11:59

almost every major company has had some

2:12:02

breach, whether they tell you or not.

2:12:04

Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's kind of disgusting.

2:12:06

I'm pretty sure.

2:12:06

I'm pretty sure common practices is that

2:12:09

you're supposed to have

2:12:10

a different password

2:12:11

for every single website.

2:12:12

I know not everyone adheres to that, but

2:12:15

that's the common practice.

2:12:18

The most recent guidelines are to have a

2:12:20

unique email and password.

2:12:22

And most services let you do a plus tag

2:12:25

on your email address.

2:12:27

So you can do like what Gardner.

2:12:30

Yeah, you didn't know about this.

2:12:31

You can do like Gardner plus and then

2:12:33

anything and then at whatever dot com

2:12:37

and that plus whatever, like it can

2:12:39

literally be anything.

2:12:40

And it will go to your inbox.

2:12:42

It's typically testing, isn't it? But.

2:12:46

I didn't know that.

2:12:48

Does that actually do like?

2:12:49

So are you protecting from spam and stuff

2:12:51

coming to your inbox

2:12:52

or you're protecting just your email

2:12:54

getting leaked so they can't guess

2:12:55

your email and password

2:12:56

you have to give them?

2:12:57

They have to do both.

2:12:59

Right. So like it it adds an extra layer

2:13:02

of like not really obfuscation,

2:13:05

but like if your email address.

2:13:08

So what typically happens when data

2:13:10

breaches occur is like criminals

2:13:12

will get the the table and what they'll

2:13:16

do is they'll like just go in there

2:13:18

and and find matches.

2:13:20

They it's a naive match between an email

2:13:23

address and known leaked accounts.

2:13:26

And so if you just have that plus in

2:13:28

there, some some of them will get wise

2:13:30

to that eventually.

2:13:31

But right now, like it's it's not worth

2:13:34

the added effort of filtering out

2:13:36

that small like randomness for them to

2:13:40

like go through and find the low

2:13:43

hanging fruit and get

2:13:44

access to those accounts.

2:13:46

Here's my thing.

2:13:47

Here's my

2:13:47

recommendation was was security.

2:13:50

Do multi factor authentication.

2:13:52

Yeah, do multi factor.

2:13:54

That's going to be the best.

2:13:55

Apple has pseudo emails, like meaning

2:13:59

when you sign up for an account,

2:14:01

you can have if you're using an Apple

2:14:03

system, they can give you a pseudo email

2:14:06

to use like so if I'm on my

2:14:08

iOS device like that, like,

2:14:09

do you want to use your real email or do

2:14:10

you want to use a pseudo one

2:14:13

to protect additional

2:14:13

privacy, which is which is nice.

2:14:15

I'll have to admit.

2:14:17

But multi factor is the way to go, guys,

2:14:20

like, yeah, everything should be.

2:14:23

There's more and more security happening

2:14:24

like pass keys, which are nice

2:14:27

because that's one of the things I

2:14:27

actually hate is I hate the password.

2:14:30

I would rather if there is if I could put

2:14:33

in two USB devices into my computer

2:14:36

to then initiate unlocking my system, I

2:14:38

would do it that way

2:14:40

as opposed to passwords.

2:14:41

I just they get

2:14:41

really annoying over time.

2:14:43

I mean, those do exist, I believe.

2:14:45

They do, but they're not supported by

2:14:47

every they're not supported by most

2:14:50

systems. I'll tell you, it's

2:14:52

a lot easier to implement like

2:14:56

to a like TTP kind of thing than it is to

2:14:59

do the stuff like I've looked into it.

2:15:02

It's not that it's not a whole lot

2:15:04

harder, but it's enough

2:15:05

that I just haven't had

2:15:06

time to implement it in my

2:15:08

authentication stuff that I do.

2:15:10

But yeah, TTP is is really good.

2:15:14

Which one's that one?

2:15:17

It's like Google Authenticator or like

2:15:18

the plus or whatever.

2:15:21

So it's like you get the there's the app

2:15:24

on your phone, you tap it

2:15:25

and you get a one time

2:15:26

check that your password.

2:15:27

Yeah, there's a lot.

2:15:28

I mean, people find a way to hack people.

2:15:30

I mean, as far as I'm aware, like,

2:15:32

remember Linus Take Tips?

2:15:33

Remember how he got

2:15:33

hacked the first time?

2:15:36

Like how they stole his cookies.

2:15:39

Yeah, they like hijacked a session.

2:15:42

And that's that's

2:15:43

something that can happen.

2:15:45

It bypassed all of his

2:15:46

two factor authentication.

2:15:47

Like I would think I don't think Linus

2:15:48

would like not have that at all.

2:15:50

But like it just went there anyways.

2:15:52

Thankfully, you two, you

2:15:53

know, got to give us a.

2:15:55

Oh, sorry. There's there's server cookies

2:15:57

are a way to go around that.

2:15:59

So if the service you're

2:16:00

using practices of good security,

2:16:02

you can do server cookies where they

2:16:04

can't do in between attacks.

2:16:06

They have to verify his things.

2:16:07

There's still always going to be some

2:16:09

little ways that they could.

2:16:11

But though like his

2:16:12

attack would have been afforded

2:16:14

if the service he was

2:16:16

using used server cookies.

2:16:18

That was that was YouTube, which is

2:16:20

probably not using server cookies.

2:16:23

So fucking hell, which

2:16:25

is which is ridiculous

2:16:27

because you can't really steal the

2:16:29

cookies from the server based

2:16:30

and you just have an

2:16:31

authentication like that gets re.

2:16:35

We don't need to go into all that, but

2:16:36

like there's a lot of ways to

2:16:38

to not have that happen.

2:16:39

I think the title of this episode should

2:16:41

be the tangent episode.

2:16:43

It is. Oh, I'm so tired.

2:16:45

So I tell you how hard I've tangented.

2:16:49

Did it did to today?

2:16:51

So it's not just you.

2:16:54

Speaking of SOTY,

2:16:57

they filed a DMCA of to Lance McDonald to

2:17:02

remove the bloodborne 60FPS patch.

2:17:06

Just ruining everybody's good crime.

2:17:08

What can so they so as you know,

2:17:12

bloodborne runs at 60FPS on PS4.

2:17:16

And I don't even think the game has a PS4

2:17:18

pro enhancement, much

2:17:20

less a PS5 enhancement.

2:17:22

So the game still runs at 60FPS.

2:17:25

But there is a patch that was made many

2:17:28

years ago for hacked PS4 pros

2:17:31

that lets the game run at 60FPS.

2:17:34

Well, guess what? No more.

2:17:37

Thanks. Yeah.

2:17:40

So are they going to adhere to it?

2:17:41

Did Lance McDonald

2:17:42

adhere or is he going to?

2:17:45

Yes, he did adhere to it because I

2:17:48

wouldn't want to fight a legal battle

2:17:49

against SOTY either.

2:17:50

I just don't know what legal presidents

2:17:52

they have on the frame rate.

2:17:54

I could see other things, but.

2:17:56

According to the screenshot from his

2:17:58

Discord post, they didn't

2:18:00

do it against the patch.

2:18:01

They did it against the

2:18:02

use of the word bloodborne,

2:18:04

which apparently they

2:18:05

have a trademark for.

2:18:07

Couldn't you just change the name, maybe?

2:18:11

Yeah, I mean, I don't know what's ever

2:18:12

happened now to be honest.

2:18:14

I I feel like it's pretty tenuous to have

2:18:17

a trademark on the term bloodborne.

2:18:19

Like a bloodborne illness is a thing.

2:18:22

Bloodborne pathogens.

2:18:24

Yeah. Well, you know, they don't have a

2:18:25

trademark on the like

2:18:27

medical term bloodborne.

2:18:28

So they only have it on the

2:18:29

game and like other media.

2:18:32

Do not do wait till Sony's feels like a

2:18:37

hospital for using the

2:18:38

term bloodborne pathogen.

2:18:41

That would be a that would be a sick

2:18:43

subtitle for like a bloodborne sequel.

2:18:45

Bloodborne pathogen.

2:18:50

You know what?

2:18:51

I agree with you on that.

2:18:53

Half of gin.

2:18:55

Half of gin.

2:18:57

Like quite a bunch of.

2:18:59

Oh, yeah.

2:19:00

You know, I think that's a good question.

2:19:00

Yeah. You took it too nerdy.

2:19:03

Dude. Yeah, I don't know.

2:19:07

Anyway, that's silly.

2:19:09

And so many come on.

2:19:11

That's.

2:19:13

It's yeah, it is so bizarre, like so.

2:19:18

Yeah, couldn't he just change the name

2:19:20

then and have it work?

2:19:21

Do you think that's

2:19:21

what he's going to do?

2:19:22

What do you said?

2:19:23

He said also, I'm not stupid enough to

2:19:26

try to work around their

2:19:27

copyright to repost it.

2:19:28

That's what he said.

2:19:29

So I guess he's just given up.

2:19:32

So don't worry. It's

2:19:33

on the Internet forever.

2:19:34

True. Yeah, it's probably on

2:19:36

Internet Archive right now.

2:19:37

If you want to.

2:19:38

Hell yeah.

2:19:39

Oh, which which that's

2:19:41

another political topic.

2:19:44

You I do want to I do want to do this.

2:19:46

Like this is kind of like making me like

2:19:48

really want to make sure that people know

2:19:51

that the CDC and a bunch

2:19:54

of other government websites

2:19:56

are having a lot of data purges if they

2:19:58

relate to any certain topic

2:20:00

that the administration doesn't like.

2:20:01

And so there's a lot

2:20:03

of people backing up.

2:20:04

There's a lot of Internet archivists that

2:20:06

are backing all that stuff up.

2:20:08

So if you like articles or certain things

2:20:12

of a certain nature,

2:20:13

you might want to go back up your data

2:20:14

because we're we're getting into a like

2:20:15

an information war, I think soon.

2:20:18

And I only say this partially so that

2:20:21

people are ready for it

2:20:23

because it's interesting.

2:20:26

And I feel like with this type, like with

2:20:28

this game alone, like it's going to be

2:20:30

taken down, but it's going to be

2:20:31

available in different places.

2:20:32

Right. Right. This patch, not game.

2:20:34

But and I think that's important that

2:20:36

it's archived somewhere.

2:20:38

I do like I don't like the idea of losing

2:20:41

people's work that does good.

2:20:43

That does good, I think,

2:20:44

you know, like I think this is

2:20:46

a good patch for the

2:20:48

game to run at 60 frames.

2:20:50

It seems maybe silly to

2:20:51

talk about a lot, but like

2:20:52

a lot of the stuff should be archived.

2:20:56

So can you add to that?

2:20:59

Could the government like DMCA data

2:21:03

that's publicly owned like that,

2:21:04

like stuff that's being

2:21:07

purged from the their website?

2:21:10

DMCA, I don't think

2:21:12

so because it's public.

2:21:13

They can't technically, but it's the

2:21:15

government if they they make the rules.

2:21:17

So yeah, even though it's not supposed to

2:21:19

come from the executive branch,

2:21:22

it's they're not technically supposed to

2:21:24

do what they're doing.

2:21:25

But I don't know.

2:21:28

It's a crazy world.

2:21:30

All right. So I've watched.

2:21:34

I don't know what you guys, but I've

2:21:35

watched a bunch of the coverage

2:21:38

of the new Nvidia graphics cards.

2:21:42

What do you guys think about this?

2:21:43

This is the next story on the

2:21:44

on the on the document here.

2:21:48

The man with the 5000 series.

2:21:51

Now, this is a paper.

2:21:52

Now it's a paper launch

2:21:53

if I've ever seen one.

2:21:56

Yeah. Yeah.

2:21:58

Now explain to us what a paper launch is.

2:22:00

OK, so a paper launch is a product

2:22:04

that only has like a

2:22:05

limited supply in stores.

2:22:07

It's not meant to be a limited edition

2:22:09

product or anything.

2:22:10

It's meant to be a product that's

2:22:11

available all the time

2:22:13

until like next the

2:22:14

next generation, whatever.

2:22:15

But there is so little

2:22:17

there are so few of these cards

2:22:19

sent out of stores that the only people

2:22:21

that got them are scalpers

2:22:22

and like tech reviewers. Mm hmm.

2:22:27

Scalpers again, do damn those guys, man.

2:22:32

How do you see my

2:22:33

community and they jump on it?

2:22:34

So let me ask you a question.

2:22:35

How do you feel about the two thousand

2:22:36

dollar price of a 50 90?

2:22:39

Ridiculous. How do you feel about it

2:22:41

being sold for nine

2:22:42

thousand dollars on eBay?

2:22:44

I was. Oh, I don't care about it.

2:22:48

Like, here's the thing. I don't care.

2:22:50

Like, if you sell me, I'm me personally,

2:22:53

I'm going to buy the 50 70,

2:22:56

have it not perform as well as the 40 90

2:22:58

and then or 40 80 or whatever

2:23:01

they said and then sue

2:23:02

them. So like, whatever.

2:23:04

Did you can't say that they'll use this.

2:23:06

They'll use the podcast

2:23:07

as evidence against you.

2:23:09

I'm not going to sue them.

2:23:10

I know because well, evidence, what do

2:23:12

you talk about evidence?

2:23:12

Like they can't use it against evidence.

2:23:15

But I'm not going to.

2:23:17

I'm messing, obviously, but like the 50.

2:23:20

I'd get the 50 70.

2:23:23

So I would I had to

2:23:25

get this next generation.

2:23:26

I'd probably get a 50 70, 50 80.

2:23:28

But if there's no.

2:23:31

Man, OK, let's just say

2:23:33

we're going to get to a topic

2:23:34

which could maybe be changing and videos

2:23:36

play on this because they do this

2:23:37

every time they do limited releases or

2:23:42

and they do art and we do know.

2:23:44

And this is actually should be.

2:23:48

Prosecuted because I well, I don't

2:23:50

actually don't know, like, but anti.

2:23:51

They do a lot of anti

2:23:52

competitive and a lot of.

2:23:57

Supply shorted shorting on purpose for

2:24:00

demand to drive up demand.

2:24:03

Yeah. It's it's nasty.

2:24:06

I really, really hate this behavior.

2:24:10

Fucking Nvidia.

2:24:12

You know. I don't know.

2:24:15

I watched a bunch of reviews.

2:24:17

And I can't say that I feel compelled to

2:24:20

upgrade from my 3080.

2:24:22

I don't see a reason to upgrade.

2:24:27

Don't you want that multi frame

2:24:28

generation with more,

2:24:30

more generated frames

2:24:32

with like more artifacting?

2:24:35

Oh, my God, I've seen the videos of multi

2:24:37

frame generation and man.

2:24:40

It's not the same thing.

2:24:41

So remember back in the day when you

2:24:43

could like hook up to GPUs,

2:24:45

but you had microstutter.

2:24:47

Yeah, it's it gives off.

2:24:50

Mike, it's not microstuttering, but it

2:24:51

gives off microstuttering vibes.

2:24:55

And it is miserable looking

2:24:58

like when you have a high frame,

2:25:00

it's probably less noticeable.

2:25:02

But like in video saying you can go from

2:25:04

like 20 FPS to like 120 FPS

2:25:08

is ridiculous.

2:25:11

And it's even more

2:25:11

like a straight up a lie.

2:25:14

Yes, you're right.

2:25:15

You are. It's straight up a lie.

2:25:17

And like it like last the last iteration

2:25:20

of this, the single frame generation,

2:25:22

it didn't improve latency and it has the

2:25:25

same problem it does now.

2:25:27

Not to mention

2:25:28

there's even more overhead,

2:25:29

which means your base

2:25:30

frame rate might be even lower.

2:25:33

And that's the thing.

2:25:35

That's the thing that I

2:25:36

noticed because I was like watching.

2:25:39

I don't know if it was the I

2:25:40

don't know which one it was,

2:25:41

but I was watching one of

2:25:42

them and they were talking about

2:25:43

the multi frame generation stuff.

2:25:46

And and I remember when we

2:25:48

were talking about it last time,

2:25:49

I was like, I just don't see how this is

2:25:51

going to help make the

2:25:52

game feel any better.

2:25:54

Like if you have a low frame rate, the

2:25:55

input latency is going to be bad.

2:25:57

And then I was watching

2:25:58

that and they were like, yeah,

2:26:00

if you have a low frame rate, the input

2:26:03

latency is still terrible.

2:26:05

So what's the point?

2:26:06

Like the only thing is like

2:26:07

bringing it up to the refresh,

2:26:10

the native refresh rate of your monitor.

2:26:12

But it's like if you

2:26:13

have a monitor for gaming,

2:26:16

it's going to have free

2:26:17

sync or G-Sync or whatever.

2:26:20

And it's like, what's the point of adding

2:26:22

this multi frame generation stuff,

2:26:24

especially when it knocks 10, 15, 20 FPS

2:26:28

off of your gameplay,

2:26:30

especially if you're playing it at a high

2:26:31

enough frame rate where we'll feel OK.

2:26:33

Like I just don't get it.

2:26:36

I mean, I mean, games

2:26:37

brought it up earlier.

2:26:38

You said that like if you're playing in

2:26:39

VR, this that could be like something.

2:26:43

Right. And I can see like in

2:26:44

something like that would be.

2:26:46

But if your input is not matching it well

2:26:49

enough, it could be worse.

2:26:50

It might actually make it worse. Yeah.

2:26:53

Yeah. So I'm skeptical

2:26:55

of people that have like

2:26:57

hate videos on stuff like this because I

2:27:00

think it's a middle ground.

2:27:00

I think there's like some pluses and then

2:27:02

there's a lot of negatives.

2:27:03

But I I'm not going to buy it.

2:27:07

Like I'm not going to recommend anyone go

2:27:08

out and buy a 5000 series.

2:27:11

I don't. And for multiple

2:27:12

reasons, I don't think it's

2:27:14

it's a 30 to 20 to 30 percent increase,

2:27:16

depending on which card you're getting

2:27:18

over the previous generation, which.

2:27:22

Surprise, surprise.

2:27:23

All they did was just up the cores.

2:27:25

Buy that much, essentially.

2:27:27

There's no new tech.

2:27:29

No, they they're just it's a it's a money

2:27:31

play to release something which.

2:27:34

I don't know.

2:27:36

I there those cores have got to be

2:27:38

cheaper to produce now, so they're just

2:27:40

it all just seems fishy

2:27:42

to me and I don't like it.

2:27:42

And I really, really want a different

2:27:44

company to come in and

2:27:45

start doing more video cards.

2:27:48

That's not Intel. Well, here's the deal.

2:27:51

Like I'm going to jump ahead to the

2:27:52

DeepSeek story, because I think it ties

2:27:54

in with a little bit.

2:27:57

So DeepSeek, right?

2:28:00

Like it's it is like like I don't know

2:28:04

how exactly much more performant it is,

2:28:06

but it is better in almost every way

2:28:09

compared to chat GPT, right?

2:28:10

Like it has better reasoning and it works

2:28:13

on lower end systems

2:28:15

and it works better, right, than than

2:28:18

something else like Lama or whatever.

2:28:20

And it's open source.

2:28:21

And it's open source.

2:28:23

And the reason I don't know if you

2:28:25

mentioned it in here, James,

2:28:27

but the reason that it

2:28:28

is working so much better,

2:28:31

it's it works on lower end cards is

2:28:34

because they're not using CUDA.

2:28:37

There was you think it's

2:28:38

the CUDA core tech that's

2:28:41

CUDA is artificially holding back AI.

2:28:46

Oh, artificially.

2:28:47

So on on on consumer

2:28:50

hardware, it absolutely is.

2:28:51

That's what that's my take

2:28:53

from it, from what I've seen.

2:28:54

Well, we do know that they yeah, we do

2:28:56

know that they really

2:28:57

protect their AI tech

2:28:58

because that's how they

2:28:59

become how big they are.

2:29:01

Like they're massive.

2:29:02

I don't think people realize how big

2:29:03

Nvidia is now like now there.

2:29:05

And there's almost no reason for them to

2:29:07

be as big as they are

2:29:08

right now beyond this AI stuff.

2:29:12

Yeah, I I don't know.

2:29:15

Yeah, getting into the DeepSeek stuff.

2:29:20

Yes, yeah.

2:29:21

So DeepSeek, our one destroys the USA AI

2:29:24

tech market, essentially.

2:29:27

It wrecked.

2:29:28

I've heard numbers of up to almost a

2:29:30

trillion being knocked

2:29:31

off of a lot of tech,

2:29:32

but I don't know.

2:29:33

I'm a little skeptical on that.

2:29:36

It's been confirmed.

2:29:37

Nvidia supposedly lost six hundred

2:29:40

billion dollars alone of valuation.

2:29:44

Couldn't have

2:29:44

happened to a nicer industry.

2:29:48

Well, that's the thing.

2:29:49

At the end of the day, it

2:29:50

was a Chinese open sourced LLM.

2:29:55

And the and here's open AI guy.

2:29:59

They're like, this is

2:30:00

this is the best part.

2:30:02

Open AI, Sam comes down and says, well,

2:30:04

they stole it because they

2:30:05

trained it off of our our models.

2:30:08

And I'm like, that's OK.

2:30:10

OK, OK, bitch.

2:30:11

Like, where did you train your data from?

2:30:14

Oh, everyone else is complaining that

2:30:16

you're stealing their

2:30:17

stuff to train off of.

2:30:18

Did you pay for that? No.

2:30:20

So you can set down first off because

2:30:26

you didn't you didn't get your data in a

2:30:30

more like an ethical

2:30:31

way if you want to say.

2:30:33

So I don't know. And this is open source.

2:30:35

So yeah, you know, when I wild, you know,

2:30:38

I heard about the AI

2:30:40

taking over the future.

2:30:41

I kind of imagine they sort of like

2:30:42

Matrix style future where

2:30:45

like we go on all our war against

2:30:47

the machines or, you know, the

2:30:49

Terminator, you know, SkyNet.

2:30:51

Not like this. Not like this.

2:30:56

I mean, that's a good like that.

2:30:59

That is a good I do like that, too.

2:31:01

I don't think we're ever going to get

2:31:02

there because we're going to destroy

2:31:04

things before we get there.

2:31:05

But ourselves, we don't have to worry

2:31:07

about robots doing that.

2:31:08

They might save us.

2:31:11

A little cynical on that.

2:31:13

But the funny thing is, is that you can

2:31:16

like I read about people had about a

2:31:19

dozen around a dozen,

2:31:20

maybe a little bit more Mac pros.

2:31:24

And you could probably

2:31:25

even do this on the Mac.

2:31:26

The Mac pros are M2s.

2:31:27

You could probably get away with just

2:31:29

getting Mac minis and

2:31:31

running the 68 gigabyte,

2:31:33

which is the law. It's around 68, I

2:31:36

believe it could be larger.

2:31:37

But that's what I heard,

2:31:38

which is their large model.

2:31:41

Deep seek R1 and it runs it great.

2:31:46

And just in comparison, that is like

2:31:49

thousands of dollars compared to millions

2:31:50

of dollars of hardware

2:31:52

that it takes to run the one.

2:31:55

And this essential and that's the large

2:31:57

you can I'm seeing people be

2:31:59

able to get some of the small

2:32:01

LLMs to run on like

2:32:03

Raspberry Pi's almost with.

2:32:05

I'm thinking they're kind of

2:32:06

doing some little tweaking.

2:32:08

I haven't seen some of the videos yet,

2:32:09

but I've just I've seen

2:32:10

little clips here and there.

2:32:12

But this is big deal, I think, because it

2:32:16

democratizes, which I

2:32:17

think is a good thing.

2:32:18

It democratizes AI and makes it and it's

2:32:21

open source, which is good.

2:32:22

It makes it more accessible to

2:32:25

individuals and to everyone to do their

2:32:29

own AI if they want or to

2:32:30

set up their own systems

2:32:32

or to even create their own companies

2:32:33

with AI, as opposed to

2:32:35

having two companies,

2:32:36

Nvidia and open AI controlling it.

2:32:40

That's my takeaway on this.

2:32:42

Like, I think it's a good thing.

2:32:43

I agree. I think that

2:32:44

this is a good thing.

2:32:47

I think like being able to be able to run

2:32:49

a model like this on something like a

2:32:54

home lab and being able to have it

2:32:56

jailbroken and running locally and it's

2:32:59

not sending any data over the Internet.

2:33:01

And you be self sufficient

2:33:03

with an AI model that you use.

2:33:07

You connect it to home assistant.

2:33:08

You can then be like, OK,

2:33:10

computer, do this, do that.

2:33:12

Right. That's the kind of

2:33:13

thing that I've wanted for a while.

2:33:16

And like I've been using I have.

2:33:19

Oh, man, that sounds sick.

2:33:21

I have these little things.

2:33:22

This is I can't

2:33:23

remember what this is called.

2:33:25

Is that like a thing?

2:33:26

I've it's a M5 Echo

2:33:28

Atom and it's hard to see.

2:33:33

So it's basically it's literally just a

2:33:35

microphone that you plug in and it

2:33:38

connects to Wi-Fi and it's running an

2:33:41

empty 32 or not empty 32.

2:33:43

One of one of those like small ESP 32.

2:33:46

That's what it is.

2:33:47

And so it's a it's a

2:33:48

small risk five thing.

2:33:50

You can put them in every room in your

2:33:51

house and then you can connect home

2:33:53

assistant to an LLM and it will convert

2:33:56

these convert whatever you're saying into

2:33:59

actual text that home

2:34:00

assistant will then run.

2:34:02

And I have these everywhere.

2:34:03

But the problem is I don't have hardware

2:34:05

in my home lab that can

2:34:07

actually run an LLM efficiently.

2:34:09

But now that this is out and we can do

2:34:12

this kind of stuff, I'm actually really

2:34:14

excited about getting

2:34:15

going back to these.

2:34:16

I bought like a like I don't

2:34:18

know, five or six of these.

2:34:19

I wanted them in every room and I did.

2:34:22

I was going to make a video about it, but

2:34:23

I didn't because it

2:34:24

just wasn't fast enough.

2:34:27

It would take like literally a minute to

2:34:29

process what I said and then turn into a

2:34:32

sneak peek and then gardeners new video.

2:34:35

No, dude, I'm so.

2:34:38

Yeah, this seems right up your alley like

2:34:39

it's all self-contained because you like

2:34:42

to do all your stuff self-contained,

2:34:43

which I'm starting to move towards that a

2:34:45

little bit more too because I'm as I'm

2:34:46

getting tired of services going up in

2:34:50

price or changing from a business side.

2:34:53

It's just getting kind of

2:34:54

frustrating on my for me.

2:34:56

And so my thing is like I want

2:34:59

stability and predictability.

2:35:01

And it seems like the post-capitalist

2:35:04

world that we're living in is all about

2:35:06

instability and unpredictability.

2:35:08

And I don't want that in my life.

2:35:10

Like it's exactly

2:35:12

people want predictability.

2:35:14

And I think that's why they're a little

2:35:14

upset about a lot of things and why I

2:35:17

think we have trends going on the

2:35:18

politics that are the way they are.

2:35:20

They want stability.

2:35:21

And so at least in the tech world, we get

2:35:24

it's very destabilizing for a lot of

2:35:26

these tech companies like and the tech

2:35:28

bubble is very close to

2:35:29

popping because of this.

2:35:31

We'll see because I think the open AI Sam

2:35:36

is like dude, just go the way he's

2:35:39

flopped from 10 like from

2:35:41

four years ago is crazy.

2:35:44

And it's making me

2:35:45

more happy to see this.

2:35:46

I am not usually one to be happy about

2:35:48

things getting destroyed.

2:35:50

But oh, honey, he's in a flop era.

2:35:55

Yeah, right.

2:35:56

Oh, God, you keep calling him.

2:35:58

You keep calling him open AI, Sam.

2:36:01

Right. Yeah.

2:36:01

But like I call him Microsoft Sam just

2:36:04

because of that robot

2:36:05

voice from the right.

2:36:07

Hello. My name is Microsoft Sam.

2:36:10

Like that.

2:36:10

And I am the computer's default.

2:36:11

God, that was so good.

2:36:14

What the hell was that, Gardner?

2:36:16

Why aren't you like a voice actor?

2:36:18

Dude, I feel like I can do it.

2:36:22

Damn.

2:36:22

It's me.

2:36:22

Which I think I've mentioned of my crappy

2:36:25

little server closet with

2:36:27

my home home lab services.

2:36:29

But have you guys seen it yet?

2:36:31

Yeah, I can put some I can post a picture

2:36:33

on the disk or this is a difference from

2:36:35

a video I made a while ago.

2:36:36

This is what it looks like.

2:36:38

Oh, my gosh.

2:36:39

Yeah, that's great.

2:36:40

It's awesome.

2:36:42

Find a picture of my home

2:36:43

lab because it's pretty.

2:36:44

Yes, I've got a I've got a rack my

2:36:46

server, a rack my switch and a rack.

2:36:50

And I got a monitor

2:36:51

keyboard on top of the switch.

2:36:53

And all of this is on top of a file and a

2:36:55

small filing cabinet.

2:36:57

That like really probably shouldn't be on

2:37:00

top of this filing cabinet

2:37:02

because like a bunch of us just like

2:37:03

hanging off the edge.

2:37:06

And then I think this is a video where I

2:37:08

was installing a new router.

2:37:09

So the router isn't pictured here yet.

2:37:14

But yeah, well, I used to

2:37:16

have some setups like that.

2:37:18

And I could definitely see that's coming

2:37:19

into my future soon.

2:37:23

I've heard about how you can build your

2:37:25

own IKEA server for sure.

2:37:28

Using some IKEA furniture

2:37:29

and like the mother's stuff.

2:37:32

I did.

2:37:33

So was IKEA?

2:37:34

No, Amazon has these rolling racks.

2:37:36

They're not like server racks, but

2:37:38

they're racks that you can post.

2:37:40

I might start doing that.

2:37:42

Oh, I see.

2:37:43

I see Gardner posted a little video.

2:37:46

Oh, shit.

2:37:47

That's from that's from two years ago.

2:37:50

And since then, I've added two more

2:37:53

shelves with multiple like mini PCs.

2:37:56

I've added a Raspberry Pi, like a 3D

2:37:58

printed Raspberry Pi cluster.

2:38:01

And I've added a 10 gig network switch.

2:38:05

Is that a Mac Mini on top?

2:38:07

Oh, wait, no, those two years ago.

2:38:08

Never mind. Those two years ago.

2:38:09

Never mind. I didn't.

2:38:10

Yeah, no, it's the Mac Mini back then.

2:38:12

But that's definitely not that.

2:38:13

Not nothing.

2:38:14

Not the good Mac Mini

2:38:15

that we're thinking of.

2:38:17

No, it's a Mini's forum.

2:38:18

I'm using that as a PF sense router.

2:38:22

I've always wanted to do that.

2:38:24

And I so I went to I went to Reddit.

2:38:28

I went to like the home lab server and

2:38:30

they told me to use Vio West.

2:38:31

I managed to get one up and running, but

2:38:33

I didn't have the APs.

2:38:35

And I didn't want to spend like five

2:38:36

hundred dollars on unify AP.

2:38:38

So I've never heard of that.

2:38:42

It's a I think it was

2:38:44

based on, but it's a V.

2:38:46

Why OS is I forget which operates.

2:38:49

It's based on Linux.

2:38:50

It's not based on free BSD, which I think

2:38:52

is what is what a PF sense

2:38:55

and open sense are based on.

2:38:56

If I'm mistaken.

2:38:58

PF sense is B.

2:39:00

F. B. F. D.

2:39:01

But open sense, I believe, is Linux.

2:39:05

Oh, OK.

2:39:06

I could be wrong about

2:39:07

that, but I'm pretty sure.

2:39:10

But yeah, Vio looks kind of cool.

2:39:12

Yeah, it was entirely command line.

2:39:14

Then there is no like easy to use web

2:39:16

interface unless you install some

2:39:18

sort of plug in and I couldn't figure

2:39:20

that out at the time

2:39:23

because it was like a

2:39:23

couple of years ago.

2:39:24

So like at a lot less experience.

2:39:27

I'm going to try it

2:39:28

again, but like, yeah,

2:39:31

I still don't want to spend five hundred

2:39:32

dollars on unify Wi-Fi access points.

2:39:37

I'm going to Mac Mini.

2:39:39

I'm probably going to get

2:39:40

Mac Mini to start mine out,

2:39:42

but I'll I'll take the shell off and put

2:39:44

it up into like a little weird

2:39:46

rack just so that it can look cool.

2:39:49

No, I don't know.

2:39:51

But like, I think I'm going

2:39:51

to start out with Mac Mini. Oh.

2:39:54

So my fucking video broadcast like

2:39:56

crashed or some bullshit like that.

2:39:59

Yeah, you want to know why you were

2:40:00

talking shit about Nvidia.

2:40:04

Fuck you, Adam Jensen, and your stupid

2:40:06

fucking leather coat.

2:40:08

Oh, damn, Jensen.

2:40:11

Sorry.

2:40:12

Fuck.

2:40:14

What is his name?

2:40:15

That's Hwang.

2:40:17

Jensen Hwang.

2:40:18

I'm thinking of Deus Ex.

2:40:20

Yes.

2:40:21

Oh, my.

2:40:22

My name is Adam Jensen.

2:40:27

I didn't ask for this.

2:40:27

I'm also Batman.

2:40:29

Oh, my gosh.

2:40:31

Oh, you think that this is your own.

2:40:34

I mean, I adopted it.

2:40:36

I was born in it.

2:40:39

No big buy it.

2:40:39

Oh, my gosh.

2:40:40

I hadn't seen the

2:40:41

light until I was a man.

2:40:42

And by then it was blinding.

2:40:47

Damn.

2:40:47

Yeah.

2:40:48

Let's just close out the

2:40:49

episode by doing voices.

2:40:52

Are we going to finish up the last year?

2:40:55

We we have.

2:40:55

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

2:40:56

We do have two more.

2:40:57

We have layoffs.

2:41:00

Yes.

2:41:01

So multiverses going offline, which will

2:41:03

probably lead to a

2:41:04

layout from that studio.

2:41:05

Let's be honest,

2:41:06

because that's what happens.

2:41:08

It's unfortunate.

2:41:10

So.

2:41:12

Yeah.

2:41:15

What is what layoffs are happening

2:41:16

because there's always layoffs happening.

2:41:19

But Ubisoft is blaming a lot of stuff on

2:41:23

like I think on just

2:41:26

people not buying their games.

2:41:28

They love pushing that off onto others,

2:41:31

not having any ownership.

2:41:33

But I mean, yeah, people do have to buy

2:41:36

their games to make a profit.

2:41:37

So I guess.

2:41:38

Yeah, you're not wrong and

2:41:39

blame develop the consumers.

2:41:41

But like you probably shouldn't be

2:41:42

blaming them that hard.

2:41:43

You should probably be like, oh, why

2:41:45

don't they want to buy.

2:41:47

Yeah.

2:41:48

Why?

2:41:49

That's the question they're not asking.

2:41:51

Like that level.

2:41:54

Like Assassin's Creed Shadows is probably

2:41:58

their make or break.

2:42:00

If like if this game doesn't work out,

2:42:03

then what are they going to do?

2:42:05

And they postponed it again, I think it

2:42:07

was supposed to release it.

2:42:08

What isn't it supposed

2:42:09

to be releasing right now?

2:42:10

And I think they they

2:42:11

pushed it off again.

2:42:12

They pushed it off to next month.

2:42:15

Which I mean, I'm always down for them to

2:42:17

push for like to make sure

2:42:19

it's like in a good state.

2:42:20

But it definitely has given me a little

2:42:22

bit of apprehension on this.

2:42:24

Like what's going on?

2:42:26

Yeah, what is going on?

2:42:28

I mean, you guys, they're closing down.

2:42:32

Or it's right.

2:42:33

This was they worked on the division and

2:42:37

outlaws and what else?

2:42:40

Skull and bone, skull and bones of

2:42:42

fucking skull and bones.

2:42:44

God damn it.

2:42:44

I haven't even heard of skull and bones.

2:42:47

OK, so this was the game that Ubisoft was

2:42:50

claiming was the first

2:42:51

quadruple a video game.

2:42:54

Yep.

2:42:55

This is the live service game that's

2:42:57

basically just

2:42:58

Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

2:43:00

But like just the pirate portion and it's

2:43:03

multiplayer and it's worse.

2:43:06

Yeah, at least from what I saw.

2:43:08

I know a lot of people

2:43:08

were really excited for it.

2:43:10

Wasn't that the one where

2:43:11

like you would step on a ship?

2:43:13

It's kind of jogging my memory.

2:43:13

You'd step on a ship and like you would

2:43:15

desync based on like where you were.

2:43:19

I think you're

2:43:20

thinking of Sea of Thieves.

2:43:21

I'm not sure.

2:43:22

Yeah, so like you're only you're only

2:43:26

like because that game

2:43:27

you can actually go on foot

2:43:27

and like explore the ship on foot.

2:43:29

Whereas skull and

2:43:30

bones, you are the ship.

2:43:33

It's a vehicle.

2:43:33

It's a vehicle game.

2:43:36

So like yeah, yeah, it I mean, a lot of

2:43:40

stuff I saw about it

2:43:41

looked cool, but I just was

2:43:42

so skeptical about it.

2:43:44

From what I understand when you come out

2:43:46

the gate with marketing

2:43:47

like it's the first quadruple

2:43:48

a game.

2:43:49

I think that raises some red flags.

2:43:51

Yeah, that all the black

2:43:52

flags in this case black flags.

2:43:55

Yes.

2:43:56

So apparently from what I understand,

2:43:59

they couldn't cancel the

2:44:00

game despite it being in

2:44:02

like such development hell because the

2:44:04

government of Singapore,

2:44:06

we're getting political again.

2:44:07

The government of Singapore gave them

2:44:09

money to establish a Singaporean studio.

2:44:12

Ubisoft Singapore, I believe.

2:44:15

Yeah.

2:44:15

So literally they could not cancel the

2:44:17

game if they wanted to.

2:44:18

Despite, you know, the

2:44:19

game not doing not like there.

2:44:22

People weren't that excited.

2:44:24

I will say.

2:44:26

Yeah.

2:44:28

Welcome to.

2:44:30

Welcome to making deals and

2:44:32

you gotta go follow through.

2:44:33

I mean, you got free

2:44:34

money essentially, right?

2:44:35

So you can say that.

2:44:37

Yeah.

2:44:37

And also one more thing too is that

2:44:39

Ubisoft isn't alone.

2:44:44

So as you know, Dragon Age Inquisition

2:44:46

released and performed

2:44:48

about half of what was expected.

2:44:51

But it was but in obviously that

2:44:53

shareholder meeting wasn't just about how

2:44:56

Dragon Age the veil guard.

2:44:59

So I say Dragon Age Inquisition.

2:45:02

I meant Dragon Age the veil guard.

2:45:04

The veil guard.

2:45:05

Yeah.

2:45:05

The veil guard.

2:45:07

They wanted they it was projected to have

2:45:10

three million sales at late at least, but

2:45:12

only had one point five million players.

2:45:15

And it wasn't just that though.

2:45:17

There was also the newest EA FIFA.

2:45:19

I mean FC game.

2:45:21

They can't use the term eat

2:45:22

FIFA anymore because like.

2:45:26

Well, they lost the

2:45:28

like they lost the deal.

2:45:30

I don't know what happened.

2:45:31

But they probably didn't want to spend

2:45:32

sure they were asking for more like the

2:45:35

commit like the whole the FIFA committee.

2:45:38

I don't want to get

2:45:39

started on the FIFA committee.

2:45:40

Let's just say

2:45:41

they're also quite corrupt.

2:45:43

But that's another that's

2:45:45

another topic for another day.

2:45:47

But I firmly believe this is just me.

2:45:52

I firmly believe that EA FC 25 didn't

2:45:55

sell as well because it

2:45:56

didn't have the title.

2:45:57

It didn't have the name FIFA.

2:45:59

And no one knows what an FC is.

2:46:01

It's just football club.

2:46:02

But no one knows what

2:46:03

the fuck that means.

2:46:04

But everyone knows that FIFA is right.

2:46:10

They did it's called FC. I know but it's

2:46:13

abbreviated. Why wouldn't they just?

2:46:15

Mark it as much as possible without

2:46:17

abbreviation. That's

2:46:18

Because you'd probably get a confused

2:46:20

with American football because they also

2:46:22

Doesn't matter

2:46:24

Right on the front cover and then the

2:46:26

people that play those games don't

2:46:27

understand what an

2:46:28

abbreviation is. Yeah. Yeah

2:46:31

I didn't know what a football club was

2:46:36

until I watched Ted lasso. Oh

2:46:40

I'm part of that group. I don't even know

2:46:43

It's like a it's like the premier league

2:46:46

and shit like that. It's like a franchise

2:46:47

Yeah, but Gardner said that makes it for

2:46:49

like soccer or as the Europeans call it

2:46:53

football

2:46:55

Football

2:46:56

Or you mean the rest of the yeah the rest

2:46:59

of the world I should say only aren't we

2:47:02

like the only country that calls it

2:47:05

Yes, because we practice a

2:47:06

different type of football

2:47:08

American football

2:47:09

Where we go go clap we go on the field

2:47:12

clad in armor and just start like tacking

2:47:14

the shit out of each other

2:47:16

I'm excited. I don't even care

2:47:21

Football

2:47:23

But yeah, I firmly believe that

2:47:27

They that the losing they they lost the

2:47:29

FIFA license and so I

2:47:31

believe that's why it suffered

2:47:32

I don't know if that's actually the case

2:47:34

But that's just the way it is

2:47:35

But I'm pretty sure the refc failing is

2:47:38

the main reason why like EA

2:47:40

stock went down substantially

2:47:41

It probably wasn't

2:47:42

because veil guard failed

2:47:44

But of course fail veil guard failed and

2:47:47

as such bioware packed them up moved

2:47:51

Multiple employees to different studios

2:47:53

while Mass Effect 5 is in pre-production

2:47:57

That's their I think that's also that

2:47:59

studios make or break if if Mass Effect 5

2:48:02

doesn't do very well

2:48:03

Biotrock might be done. I

2:48:06

Think so, which I'm really sad about but

2:48:08

you said buddy. Oh now we're making that

2:48:11

now you're making this file where

2:48:13

Whatever. No, I'm did I'm

2:48:16

Yeah, this is gonna be

2:48:18

the fucked up episodes

2:48:20

It's a reason. Okay. Yeah, we talk about

2:48:22

laughs all the time. This is depressing.

2:48:23

Let's talk about something. That's good

2:48:25

multiverse is dying

2:48:27

Dude you know that's gonna lead to a

2:48:31

layoff, right? All right, so here's the

2:48:33

tears the crazy don't like that

2:48:35

It's gonna be yeah. All right. So here's

2:48:37

the thing. So multiverse of season 5

2:48:40

starts in like three days

2:48:42

it starts on the fourth and

2:48:45

it'll last until May the 30th and

2:48:48

Starting from yesterday actually they

2:48:51

disabled all real money transactions

2:48:53

But the game will be playable offline so

2:48:55

long as you download and log into the

2:48:56

game for the end of release

2:48:58

They also say the game will no longer be

2:49:00

downloadable after the 30th

2:49:01

But we don't know if that means like like

2:49:03

that you won't be able to like

2:49:05

Claim the game on your account or like

2:49:07

you can't read download it on Steam if

2:49:10

you ever uninstall it

2:49:12

So we don't know what that means

2:49:13

Here's the thing that you have to buy

2:49:15

cages multiverses and like

2:49:17

if you wanted characters now

2:49:19

You can't I don't think you can buy the

2:49:21

rest of them. I don't even know if

2:49:23

they're in game play

2:49:25

They better be like imagine if like you

2:49:28

got a half half of a game

2:49:29

before the game went offline

2:49:32

That'd be fucked up

2:49:34

dude

2:49:35

there better be

2:49:37

This makes me so mad because it's a load

2:49:39

of horseshit to require

2:49:41

people to download the game

2:49:43

Now and log in in order to be able to

2:49:45

play it after it goes offline

2:49:47

that's just I try not to

2:49:49

swear but that's bullshit and

2:49:51

There needs to be some kind of like

2:49:54

developer made patch that disables that

2:49:56

and enables all characters

2:49:58

After like before the game goes offline

2:50:00

if they're gonna take it offline

2:50:02

I just think like that that's the least

2:50:05

that should be required of

2:50:07

live service game developers, it's like

2:50:09

if you're taking your game off you have

2:50:11

to either give everyone a refund or

2:50:14

enable it to be played offline after

2:50:17

It goes out because well, you know their

2:50:20

parent company Warner Brothers. Oh my

2:50:22

god, so have you seen The Matrix 4?

2:50:26

No, I rewatched.

2:50:27

Alright, so there's this one

2:50:29

so like half for the first half was like

2:50:31

a meta like almost like a meta like

2:50:34

movie so to speak where

2:50:36

Neo in the like new Matrix is the like

2:50:40

the guy the he's the Hideo Kojima

2:50:42

Behind the original matrix trilogy, which

2:50:44

is like a children video games

2:50:45

and so he there's this one scene where he

2:50:48

goes in with his like boss or like

2:50:50

partner or whatever and

2:50:52

Then they're talking about how their

2:50:53

parent company Warner Brothers wants to

2:50:55

make a fourth matrix with or without them

2:50:58

And oh my god. Okay. I am inclined to

2:51:01

believe that Warner

2:51:02

Brothers might be the worst

2:51:04

Company on this list. Yeah,

2:51:06

like a little below Nvidia. Oh

2:51:08

Oh gosh, I I don't disagree with that

2:51:13

I like I have I've heard like some

2:51:16

staunch defending of The Matrix 4

2:51:19

like as a as

2:51:21

Lana which out was isn't Lana which house

2:51:23

here is it? I believe it was Lana

2:51:25

Wachowski. Yes. Yeah, she ended up like

2:51:29

deliberately like sabotaging the script

2:51:31

because she wanted to like

2:51:34

Screw over Warner Brothers and there's

2:51:36

some staunch defending of the movie

2:51:38

From that perspective and I think that

2:51:40

that's pretty cool. But I haven't I

2:51:41

haven't watched it myself

2:51:42

You should yeah

2:51:43

I mean it's objectively like if you were

2:51:46

looking forward to it as like a true

2:51:47

follow-up to The Matrix

2:51:49

you're going to be disappointed because

2:51:52

It's not I'm pretty sure it's like an

2:51:54

anti movie almost because like The Matrix

2:51:56

was known for its

2:51:56

like action choreography

2:51:58

And the action in this is like the actual

2:52:01

dog shit. It's just neo using

2:52:03

like force push on everything

2:52:06

Wow, and then you know in multiverses. I

2:52:10

Know agent Smith is I think the plan was

2:52:12

to have neo in but like I don't know what

2:52:14

happened to that because

2:52:16

Did and Sonic and Sonic

2:52:20

the Hedgehog 3 yeah, oh

2:52:24

Yeah, that's right

2:52:26

Dude I don't know what the hell's going

2:52:28

like multi like okay Warner Brothers

2:52:32

this is the same company that

2:52:34

Canceled completed

2:52:35

movies for tax purposes

2:52:36

Like I understand those movies probably

2:52:38

weren't gonna do well because like the DC

2:52:40

EU was fucked up and they also cancelled

2:52:43

what sounded like a

2:52:44

really cool movie, which is a

2:52:47

Kiyo, I think it was a coyote versus Acme

2:52:49

or whatever and it's supposed to be this

2:52:51

like, okay, so have you heard of it?

2:52:53

So it's the movie is the

2:52:55

premise says that like, you know

2:52:57

Why why Lee coyote he buys a lot of Acme

2:52:59

products and they always

2:53:01

fail to catch the Roadrunner

2:53:02

Well, this was him take go.

2:53:04

This was him going to court

2:53:06

With Acme like the company and it was

2:53:09

gonna be like a 2d. I think from what

2:53:12

I've heard was supposed to get 2d like

2:53:14

Well, he carries in 2d, but like it's

2:53:16

like Space Jam. Yeah

2:53:18

almost but like a court drama

2:53:21

And I thought that would that would have

2:53:23

been the coolest thing ever and they

2:53:24

canceled that I would have been

2:53:26

At least it's unique. How would that

2:53:28

work? He doesn't talk.

2:53:30

He just holds a sign up

2:53:32

Well, I mean that I mean, I don't know I

2:53:34

would like to see how that

2:53:35

I worked. I'm here for it

2:53:37

I want to see that and WB

2:53:39

canceled it and with that girl

2:53:42

unreal

2:53:44

How is

2:53:47

Who is gonna so there's

2:53:48

rumored half-life in the works movie

2:53:50

There's always a rumored but like it's

2:53:52

even stronger this year

2:53:53

that will oh man. There's

2:53:55

If you go look at the list of game

2:53:57

Game based TV shows and movies it is

2:54:03

intense this year

2:54:05

It's really crazy.

2:54:07

You got a link to it. I

2:54:09

Do not right now. My

2:54:10

wife was talking to me

2:54:12

Really but oh my god

2:54:17

Well, so let's see what IGN

2:54:19

says I think we've seen this so

2:54:22

My oh my god Minecraft. Oh, no

2:54:27

No

2:54:29

Trailer for that I have I don't like it.

2:54:31

Oh, it's so ugly. It's so ugly

2:54:35

It's worse than than

2:54:37

original Sonic movie like trailer

2:54:41

I like I will everything that's minecraft

2:54:43

related. I like I don't like the like

2:54:47

In the sense of I think it's interesting.

2:54:48

I don't think I'd watch it

2:54:49

I'm not the target market, but like all

2:54:51

the actors just seem kind of I

2:54:52

don't know why Jack Black why?

2:54:56

And then we have until dawn the movie

2:55:01

Mmm, it could work. I could say it

2:55:03

working. The game is basically a movie

2:55:05

anyways. Yeah moral combat

2:55:08

Hmm maybe

2:55:12

I'm gonna be if you on there. I like Kano

2:55:16

from the new Mortal Kombat movie. Yeah

2:55:20

The movie was good. It's just

2:55:22

wasn't that good. It was okay

2:55:24

Yeah, it was like I I went and I had a

2:55:28

good time. That's it. At least it's rated

2:55:31

R. I'm like the first

2:55:32

Mortal Kombat movies

2:55:34

true

2:55:35

like

2:55:37

And then we have Five

2:55:38

Nights at Freddy's I

2:55:41

Forgot there was a Five Nights at

2:55:43

Freddy's and they're making another

2:55:44

street fighter movie man

2:55:46

this

2:55:48

God damn it. Is it gonna get good this

2:55:50

time? We might need to do we might need

2:55:52

to save that topic for

2:55:53

next time because okay

2:55:54

Okay. Okay. All right.

2:55:55

Well, yeah, you're right

2:55:56

Which ones we think would be

2:56:01

good and which would be bad

2:56:03

All right, I got the I got the article

2:56:05

right here. I'll go ahead and add that to

2:56:07

the document man. Yeah

2:56:08

What the fuck there's so many this year

2:56:13

Dude I'm looking at the half-life

2:56:15

Like some of the rumors

2:56:16

I do you remember when when JJ Abrams was

2:56:20

like attached to do like not only a

2:56:22

half-life but a frickin portal movie

2:56:24

Yep, do you attach to

2:56:26

do like a Halo movie?

2:56:28

No, that was um

2:56:31

Well, what's his name?

2:56:33

Frickin gosh darn it

2:56:37

The guy who did Elysium and

2:56:41

Yeah, I mean this is nine

2:56:44

district nine, yeah, yeah

2:56:47

Yeah, I remember that was

2:56:48

supposed to be a halo movie

2:56:52

District nine wasn't but he like did a

2:56:54

bunch of like the halo 3 marketing and he

2:56:57

was attached to also do

2:56:59

The like the movie and

2:57:02

that would have been Oh

2:57:03

Amazing if he had actually gone through

2:57:05

with that, but have you seen it James?

2:57:09

the halo 3 like the halo

2:57:12

Like the believe the campaign. Yeah, the

2:57:15

believe campaign was one of them. There

2:57:16

was another one that where

2:57:18

There's a bunch of like I

2:57:19

have or not. I feel like

2:57:21

I've seen a lot I've seen so much stuff

2:57:23

over the years that I

2:57:24

just what did it now?

2:57:25

So it came out like around like halo 3

2:57:28

like before the

2:57:28

launch of halo 3. Oh, yeah

2:57:30

Yeah, and there's like this one like

2:57:33

Dude, I can't watch that those videos

2:57:37

without actually crying like the the the

2:57:40

Tableau to the raindrop prelude

2:57:43

Like with the with all the little figures

2:57:45

of the Covenant and the Marines

2:57:47

God damn it that makes me like it gives

2:57:49

me chills just thinking about it

2:57:51

And then when like they have like the

2:57:53

faux documentary about

2:57:54

how the Museum of Humanity

2:57:57

Like after defeating after humanity

2:57:59

defeated the Covenant the Museum of

2:58:02

Humanity was created

2:58:03

And they like interviewed all of these

2:58:05

like veterans and stuff

2:58:07

and it's like all live-action

2:58:08

And they have really great actors in

2:58:11

there, and it's just it's so moving and

2:58:13

goddamn have you seen halo landfall

2:58:16

It

2:58:18

Was like a short little like yeah, we

2:58:20

should we should do you

2:58:22

know what we should do

2:58:23

We should watch it

2:58:24

right now for the audience

2:58:25

For next time because I am going

2:58:32

To go crazy. Yeah, I think we should do

2:58:36

it next time though because it's really

2:58:38

Put it on the list.

2:58:39

Yeah, let's do it. All right

2:58:40

But yeah, I mean anyway,

2:58:43

we're off topic again multiverses

2:58:48

Bye bye, I guess I

2:58:50

Mean, I know I think it's not a surprise.

2:58:51

I'm I'm surprised it lasted this long

2:58:53

honestly. Yeah, I've seen this well

2:58:56

Here's the thing though

2:58:57

Multiverses shut down earlier and then

2:58:59

came back so this is like the second time

2:59:01

it's died. What the hell?

2:59:06

Yep, WBB what is wrong with you WB?

2:59:09

I

2:59:10

They tried and then it's not making the

2:59:12

money that they want and

2:59:13

so they're shutting it down

2:59:17

It's not like they make

2:59:18

a lot of good decisions

2:59:20

No, I'm surprised.

2:59:21

There's still a company

2:59:22

Well, you know there's a company because

2:59:25

they like to like get tax. They like to

2:59:27

not pay taxes obviously I

2:59:30

Mean they're writing on the Harry Potter

2:59:31

coattails right now. That's

2:59:34

true. They do have a couple of

2:59:36

Cash cows that they're still milking.

2:59:38

Yeah, wait what all right Hogwarts legacy

2:59:42

Because I was thinking wait with a making

2:59:43

a new Harry Potter movie now that no

2:59:45

doing a new show on HBO

2:59:47

It's a Harry. It's like they're just

2:59:49

redoing Harry Potter as a show on HBO.

2:59:51

Yeah. Yep. That doesn't really scream

2:59:55

Hey Potter's only screen HBO

2:59:58

Cuz it's like a chill. It's like oh, it's

3:00:00

like a children's book

3:00:02

Well, you're gonna see Snape's ass when

3:00:04

that's that's gonna bring in the views

3:00:06

god. Oh my god. It is

3:00:08

gonna bring in the views. I

3:00:11

Can't wait for the first season sex

3:00:13

scenes not what you see with it. What

3:00:15

what teachers? Yeah, dude,

3:00:18

but they're gonna have like

3:00:20

I think because the Harry Potter movies

3:00:22

had pretty good actors too. They had like

3:00:25

Alan recommend as a Snape too and

3:00:28

Some of the others like oh don't they'll

3:00:31

never be able to outdo Alan Rickman

3:00:32

So and also who was a dump who's an act

3:00:34

for Dumbledore the second night

3:00:36

Dumbledore? Yeah, I

3:00:37

can't remember his name

3:00:38

He's really good. Yeah. Yeah, I

3:00:42

mean

3:00:43

McGonagall was awesome

3:00:44

Maggie Smith right

3:00:45

and I mean like most of

3:00:48

What was his name the guy who did

3:00:52

Hagrid was awesome, you know and he

3:00:55

passed away recently. So oh shit

3:00:57

Yeah, I

3:00:59

Mean, I just don't I don't know why

3:01:01

they're redoing it. They don't need to

3:01:03

There's only one. There's only one reason

3:01:05

why they're redoing it

3:01:08

I'm just shocked that they're not like

3:01:10

continuing some stories or doing some

3:01:12

other stuff in the universe because I

3:01:13

think the universe is fun

3:01:15

But they gotta stop rehashing this whole

3:01:19

Same story. Well, they were trying to do

3:01:22

that with the myth the

3:01:24

Fantastic Beasts series and

3:01:27

but like these

3:01:28

the last one

3:01:30

was a

3:01:32

Little confused. I heard it kind of was

3:01:35

and they were supposed

3:01:35

to make more of those

3:01:36

Because we never saw the final battle

3:01:38

between Dumbledore and Grindelwald

3:01:40

But yeah, obviously that I think they

3:01:43

canceled those movies if not mistaken

3:01:45

And then I think one of the principal

3:01:47

characters was played by Ezra Miller,

3:01:48

which as you know,

3:01:49

there's a complete psychopath

3:01:53

I'm surprised the flash

3:01:55

movie even came out and

3:01:58

There were two characters played by Ezra

3:02:00

Miller and they were both the flash

3:02:04

They should have gotten the guy from the

3:02:05

CW or whatever. I don't know his name. I

3:02:09

Don't know. It's crazy

3:02:12

Wb very crazy

3:02:14

I mean they were so eager to

3:02:15

cut out and were heard from

3:02:17

From the Aquaman sequel like they reduced

3:02:20

her like role like quite substantially,

3:02:22

but they still kept Ezra

3:02:23

Miller. It's like movie

3:02:26

Yeah, I

3:02:28

Mean, yeah, that's true. I don't know. I

3:02:32

don't know why they didn't

3:02:33

do it or why they kept it

3:02:35

Well with that we've gone off topic

3:02:41

This episode was off the rails in a great

3:02:44

way. I've had a lot of fun guys

3:02:47

It is really fun. I've had a lot of fun.

3:02:50

I am lost now on what we're talking about

3:02:54

But no, I mean if you guys enjoyed any of

3:02:57

the topics that we talked about today

3:02:59

Let us know your thoughts in the comments

3:03:01

or if you have

3:03:02

questions, you want to ask us?

3:03:04

Let us know in the comments as well

3:03:06

Well, we'll try if we get some good
